- President Zelensky in no way impresses me as a stubborn doctrinaire. He is genuinely open. He just strongly wants, and I'll say it, Poland is the toughest ally on this issue, he would very much like to avoid a situation where, for some reason, a third country tells the Russians, "Okay, take what you want, as long as there is peace." - Prime Minister Donald Tusk said at a press conference. - Both Zelensky and I probably understand well the difference between a difficult situation, which is clear given the situation at the front, but we know what the difference is between a firm peace and capitulation - he continued. - No one has the right to dictate terms to Ukraine that would be de facto capitulation. I would also expect from the American administration and from all NATO allies without exception a clear stance here. We are to help Ukraine first obtain a ceasefire, an exchange of prisoners, children, the recovery of children kidnapped by Russians, and then conduct peace talks that are not simply forcing Ukraine to capitulate - he went on to say.
