Domański:

Our Economic Relations with the United States are Very, Very Good

Michał Olech

[...] Our economic relations with the United States are very, very good. We are a significant importer of, for example, American military equipment. While in Washington recently, I met with my American counterpart, Mr. Scott Bessent. Literally a few days ago in Warsaw, we met with Ms. Secretary Leffler, who is responsible for small and medium-sized enterprises in the Trump administration, meaning she is also a member of President Trump's cabinet. Therefore, I believe these economic relations are very good. We are also discussing purchases of American energy, American gas. It is important to us that these economic relations, these trade relations with our closest ally, the United States, are very good – stated Andrzej Domański on the program “Gość Wydarzeń” on Polsat News, when asked about the government's relations with the Trump administration, in the context of the Prime Minister being excluded from talks with the US President on Ukraine. - No, what's more, during the meeting with Mr. Scott Bessent, who is like a minister in the American administration, a minister of finance, a minister of treasury, much warm, good words were said about the Polish economy, about the economic growth we are managing to achieve. Incidentally, today there is also a very clear confirmation of this. The Polish economy is the fastest growing in the European Union, and our American partners definitely notice this – he continued. - And they also notice our stability, both economically and our commitment to building security in Europe. We treat the security of Europe, and of course Poland, as our top priority, very, very seriously. We are spending almost 5% of our GDP on defense. And we are also encouraging our European allies to increase their spending on security as well – he emphasized.
