Żurek:

Proceedings Regarding KPO Irregularities to be Transferred to the European Public Prosecutor's Office

- I had several conversations today with the head of the European Public Prosecutor's Office, the one responsible for the Polish section of the prosecution service, and our regulations here are unambiguous: the Polish prosecution service is obliged to transfer this case [irregularities related to the KPO] to European prosecutors, this is a very independent institution - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference at the Świnoujście-Garz border crossing. - Today this proceeding will be transferred, and independent prosecutors will be handling it. For now, we have two offices, in Warsaw and Katowice, where prosecutors who have gone through the entire recruitment process outside of Poland are already stationed. I hope we will learn about the legal and criminal aspects of this situation as soon as possible - he continued.
