109 Detained, Nearly 50 Fines Issued, and Investigations into Totalitarian Symbols: Kierwiński on Service Actions Following National Stadium Concert
- The police made nearly 110 arrests, there are 109 individuals who were detained, nearly 50 fines were issued to people who broke the law. The scale of these detentions concerns both drug possession and the assault of security guards – said Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference at the Świnoujście-Garz border crossing, when asked about the events during a concert by a Belarusian artist at the National Stadium.
- The police will act decisively in this matter, they will act tough. Also, from what I know, following a thorough analysis of surveillance footage, investigations are underway concerning three symbols, three flags bearing the hallmarks of totalitarianism [...] officers, the police are cooperating with the National Stadium's management to identify these individuals, so we can expect these proceedings to yield results very quickly – he continued.
- Every person who broke the law during this concert will be punished. If these were individuals who broke the law in such a way that they provide no guarantee of not breaking the law again on Polish territory, we will certainly implement procedures to send these individuals back to the country from which they came – he went on to say.
- Nearly 110 people detained truly shows how tough the police reacted. This evidentiary material has already been handed over to the prosecutor's office, and we will definitely not drop this case – he added.
