- The financing program for Polish hoteliers, restaurateurs, and food suppliers, i.e., the so-called HoReCa sector, is a program that PiS invented. I could quote, I don't want to bore you, but even today, on my way here, I remembered a statement by the then-minister responsible for European funds, Mr. Grzegorz Puda, a minister in the PiS government, who highly praised and recommended the program prepared by PiS, from which money from the KPO was supposed to go to restaurateurs and hoteliers, and where the main word was diversification, meaning that everyone could apply for this money for anything, really, and this program was inherited by us – stated Prime Minister Donald Tusk at the Nitro-Chem plant.

- We also inherited a very serious problem, namely a two-year delay. Unlike other European countries, my government had not only to unblock these funds but also to go to extreme lengths to manage to spend them. The problem with the KPO, and with the entire KPO, not just this percentage of funds spent on the hotel and restaurant industry, was that Poland, due to PiS's blockade, could have failed to spend these funds. Therefore, various methods were sought to get as much money as possible to Polish beneficiaries as quickly as possible, because otherwise, these funds would simply be lost. And 100% of the responsibility for this years-long mess falls on the predecessors, who blocked it and thus also gave us very little time to spend these funds effectively – he continued.
