- There are no changes in this area for 2025, especially since it's the beginning of August, so we are not interested in surprising anyone with changes - said Barbara Nowacka on TVN24, when asked about the commotion regarding mandatory reading lists and changes to the curriculum. - Dr. Białek, a very good Polish philologist, very substantive, well-prepared, is leading a team mainly composed of practicing teachers and experts for the Institute of Educational Research, preparing the assumptions for the 2026 reform - she continued. - Of course, there will be mandatory readings, of course, there will be readings that are necessary for the canon [...]. I also see no reason to create a political storm today, which PiS is trying to do. Truly, Polish language teachers know much better what young people should read, how they should read, and when they should read, than Błaszczak and Morawiecki combined - she added.
