Krajewski:

I'd Like to Throw the Green Deal in the Bin

Michał Olech

- What will remain of the Green Deal? That's a good question, because of course the Green Deal is a European Green Deal, although Commissioner Wojciechowski boasted that the idea originated in Poland - stated Stefan Krajewski on "Morning of the Day" on TVP INFO.

- I would like it to be. Because of course we can call it different things. These are pro-environmental, pro-climate actions. Some of them. The most important thing is that they have a sensible and predictable character. That's what farmers talked about during the strikes, not only in Poland, but throughout Europe - he continued, when asked if he would like to throw the entire Green Deal in the bin - he noted.

- It doesn't hurt to sign this application. A referendum can take place, only the question immediately arises whether this referendum will be binding, whether it won't be another one, because I know such referendums where there were questions and then the money allocated for the referendum could have been used, for example, for aid, for support for farmers. But I think we have thoroughly discussed this with the farmers, because these are the chambers of agriculture, these are the trade organizations. Because the slogan is interesting: "Let's throw out the Green Deal." The question is: what instead? - he continued, when asked about the president-elect's announcements regarding a referendum on the Green Deal.
