Kaczyński on Germany: We Must Remember Who Our Neighbors Are – Those Who Today Try to Relativize Their Crimes

Michał Lubowicki

- We must remember […], answering the question of who committed this crime – we all know it was Germany. There was also participation of other nations, but it was marginal […]. So, we must know that it wasn't SS units, the most criminal ones, or similar groups, but ordinary military gendarmerie that mercilessly murdered civilian people, including small children. They were ordinary conscripts - stated Jarosław Kaczyński during his speech on the occasion of the anniversary of the outbreak of the Warsaw Uprising. - It was such that Hitler's Germany would never have lasted so long, would not have defended itself until 1945, if Hitler had not had support, even though he was an obvious madman, that he was leading his nation to a terrible, the greatest defeat in its history. And we must also remember this - he continued. As he emphasized: - We must remember who our neighbors are – neighbors who today try to relativize their crimes and shift some of the responsibility onto others, including primarily Poles.
