Żurek on the KRS: This body draws huge funds from the budget for remuneration, which in my opinion is not deserved

- I haven't mentioned one more aspect related to the so-called National Council of the Judiciary yet. You know that Poland is losing, has lost, and will continue to lose cases of citizens before the ECHR. These generate compensation that we all pay [...]. This is compensation not paid from the budget of the European court, which is also our court, but from the budget of Polish taxpayers - said Waldemar Żurek at a press conference. - We must adapt to these rulings and we must implement them. Now is a time of suspension, but the case of "Wałęsa v. Poland", fundamental and crucial, obliges us to implement these rulings. These are international agreements that bind Poland, and I will put into effect the implementation of these rulings because the Polish taxpayer suffers from this - he announced. - If someone tells me: "let some supposed body in Poland work". No, ladies and gentlemen, this body draws huge funds from the budget for remuneration, which in my opinion is not deserved, and moreover, if someone goes through the procedure before this body and comes out, and sits in a judge's robe at the bench, the result is a complaint, compensation. 10 thousand euros, 30 thousand euros, for each case. There are hundreds of such cases at the Tribunal - he continued. - So if someone tells me that we should reach some compromise, I think the following: people who generate this compensation should stop doing so. There are different concepts of commission, complicity, aiding and abetting. These are criminal concepts, but it is not for me to judge them - he continued.
