- Work on the budget draft is proceeding normally. There is a schedule, which is also defined by regulations. Ministers have already received assumptions for next year's budget from the Minister of Finance, and now we are at the stage where each minister, the head of an office, is preparing a partial plan concerning their office, the institution they head - Maciej Berek said in "Graffiti" on Polsat News. - Based on these partial plans, the Minister of Finance later creates the budget bill. It will be prepared according to best practices and submitted to parliament, as required by the Constitution, by the end of September - he continued. When asked if ministers were suggested to find 20% cuts in their departments, he replied: - Each minister has received guidelines from the Minister of Finance, and this can be arranged differently in each budget area. The Minister of Finance sets so-called spending limits for the next year for each budget controller. This is a standard, ordinary procedure. - We do not have a comprehensive overview of the budget at the Council of Ministers level at this moment, because only the Minister of Finance is currently collecting this partial data. In a few weeks, it will be presented at a government meeting - he indicated.
