I would like to address these voices very clearly, stating: if anyone wants to stage a coup in Poland, they will not do it with me. Today we are in a very clear, specific situation. We have the Constitution of the Republic of Poland, and I also have a very clear interpretation of the Constitution - stated Szymon Hołownia at a press conference in the Sejm. According to the Electoral Code in force in Poland, Karol Nawrocki is, from the moment the election results are announced by the National Electoral Commission (PKW), the newly elected President of the Republic of Poland. He will become President of the Republic of Poland and all associated powers will come into effect at the moment he takes the oath before the National Assembly. The electoral process does not end at the moment the Supreme Court issues a ruling on the validity or invalidity of the elections. It ends at the moment the election results are announced by the PKW - he continued.
