Confederation Club Leader After Meeting with Nawrocki:
Necessary, but Unfortunately Brief.
- We have had a very necessary, very substantive meeting, unfortunately very brief, as it lasted only an hour, and the Confederation club had prepared at least a dozen points, points that are important to us, but also to Poland - Grzegorz Płaczek said at a press conference after the meeting with the President.
- We talked, among other things, about the future of Polish businesses, about increasingly high electricity bills, about the President's idea and the bill to reduce electricity bills. We talked about health education, which most likely, if a miracle doesn't happen, will enter Polish schools as a compulsory subject. We debated and talked about this topic at length - he continued.
- We discussed draft laws that are on the President's desk. Among others, this concerns NIS 2 and also the law regulating the profession of psychologist. We talked about Ukraine, about the blockade of scrap metal from Ukraine to the European Union, which came into effect in January 2026, and about what impact this decision will have on the future of Polish steel. The situation is very serious, very dangerous, and we wondered what solution we could find here and whether the Presidential Palace could effectively react and help the Polish industry - he continued.
- We also talked about the calendar of mandatory vaccinations, about homeschooling. We considered whether regulations regarding homeschooling should not be referred to the Constitutional Tribunal and whether the CT should address this […]. We also discussed a few things that will remain between me and the President - he listed.
