Trzaskowski:

There's Simply No Way We're Implementing the Migration Pact. We'll Be Extremely Firm

Yes [it's possible to renounce the migration pact], because we have a clear clause written into EU documents from 2015 stating that if we undertake the effort related to Ukrainians, we should be exempt from any relocation, and this is a matter of clearly stating our position. We say to Europe: we've done a lot of work for you, more than anyone else… we have taken in millions of Ukrainians, goodbye – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in an interview with Krzysztof Stanowski.

There is an option in this pact where you can choose not to welcome refugees, but to pay a sum for them. Well, let them pay us for the Ukrainians then, no way. Meaning, there's simply no way we're implementing the pact, because we've simply done significantly more for Europe – he continued.

Krzysztof Stanowski pointed out that Europe claims there's no possibility of us not implementing the pact.

– Then we'll see how it ends. With the fact that they should pay us. Meaning, we'll be extremely firm. It would be some kind of joke; we specifically included this type of clause, stating that since we are responsible for the border and for Ukrainians, we have taken on more burdens than any other European country – Trzaskowski replied.
