– The so-called Asylum Law, which has recently been discussed in the Polish public and political sphere, will come into effect; that is, I have signed this law. I believe it is necessary for strengthening the security of our borders, of Poles; it truly provides the government with the possibility of introducing instruments to limit migration to Poland, including seeking asylum in Poland – stated President Andrzej Duda before departing for Italy.

– The Prime Minister showed a regulation. In that case, I invite him to implement the regulation and invite him to take further active measures regarding the defense of the Polish border. I am glad that the Prime Minister, after becoming Prime Minister again, has changed his mind about the eastern border, because I will remind you that he contested the defense of the eastern border, he once contested the construction of a barrier on this border, today he is its great supporter. As one can see, the point of view depends on the point of sitting – he continued.

– Once again, I appeal to the Prime Minister to pay attention and remind his party colleagues what they said about the Polish Border Guard, Polish officers just a few years ago. I hope that such a situation will never happen again, that anyone on the Polish political scene will dare to speak in such an impudent way about the people who serve, protecting our security, our state – he added.
