Environments Entirely Unconnected to PiS Have Many Doubts and Remarks. Szefernaker on the Public Protection Act

- I believe that broad parliamentary work is needed, because the act is essential. The act, which we prepared as Law and Justice, as the United Right government, was also based on the experiences of the 2010 floods and various weather anomalies that appeared later. We must today draw on the experience of many institutions, including non-governmental ones, and we believe that this act should be improved in many places - said Paweł Szefernaker during a Sejm session. - We will submit amendments, we will submit proposals [...] I would also ask the esteemed Member of Parliament, the chairperson of the committee, for this work to be efficient, but in a way that allows many different environments to be involved, because environments entirely unconnected to Law and Justice, to today's opposition, have many doubts and remarks, and I believe that for the good of Poland, for the good of our citizens being able to apply these provisions, these remarks simply need to be taken into account or explained - he continued. "We Want These Provisions to Be Clarified" - The act is essential, although in principle we see that there is a lack of clear demarcation of many tasks and competencies between local governments and regional government administration; there are many new own tasks. We want these provisions to be clarified, and we also want to increase the awareness of smaller local governments [...] many local governments today need a revolution, and we, as a state, as parliamentarians [...] should help local governments in carrying out this revolution, which will allow for the construction of shelters and for increasing awareness among [...] citizens - he went on to say. "There Are No Implementing Acts, Only One Regulation" - In this act, there is a lack of proposals that could also affect the Crisis Management Act. [...] There are no implementing acts, only one regulation for this act. [...] Regarding collective protection facilities [...] there is great expectation from our society, from Poles, to undertake these actions, and we will also request here that these provisions be clarified [...]. We also believe that a better solution [...] would have been a public protection fund, that would have been transitional means - he added.
