Tuesday's Political Agenda: Tusk at Senate Debate, Government on Second Pension Indexation, Kaczyński's Speech, Finnish President's Visit, Constitutional Tribunal Commission

At 10:00 AM, the Sejm's Justice and Human Rights Committee is scheduled to review the Senate's amendments to the law on the Constitutional Tribunal (TK) along with its implementing provisions. This is a necessary step for the Sejm to vote on the upper house's amendments during its plenary session. The plenary session – the first after the summer break – begins tomorrow. According to information on the Sejm's website, the agenda “may be supplemented” with the aforementioned amendments.

At 11:30 AM, a speech by the Law and Justice (PiS) party leader, Jarosław Kaczyński, is planned in Warsaw.

At 12:00 PM, the government will consider a draft bill realizing the Prime Minister's announcement from his exposé. This concerns the introduction of an additional indexation of pensions and annuities, alongside the existing regulations for annual indexation carried out from March 1st, in cases where the increase in consumer prices of goods and services in the first half of the given year exceeds 5%.

At 12:00 PM, Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia will participate in a ceremony marking the 10th anniversary of the Garden of the Righteous.

At 2:58 PM, President Andrzej Duda will meet with the President of Finland, Alexander Stubb, at the Presidential Palace in Warsaw. At 3:30 PM, plenary talks will be held under the presidents' chairmanship, and at 4:00 PM – a meeting of the presidents with the media. Earlier, at 10:15 AM, Marshal Szymon Hołownia will meet with the President of Finland.

At 4:00 PM, Senate Marshal Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, along with Sejm Marshal Szymon Hołownia and Prime Minister Donald Tusk, will participate in a meeting titled “Ways out of the Constitutional Crisis.” Experts and constitutionalists will be present at the meeting, including, among others, Prof. Leszek Garlicki, Prof. Irena Lipowicz, Prof. Ewa Łętowska, Judge Jerzy Stępień, Prof. Adam Strzembosz, and Prof. Andrzej Zoll.
