Morawiecki Announces Fundraising and Legal Action
- The National Electoral Commission's (PKW) decision regarding the PiS financial statement is disgraceful. It fits into the current authorities' political game, the aim of which is revenge and marginalization of the opposition - Mateusz Morawiecki wrote on social media.
As the former Prime Minister emphasized: - This is, of course, about next year's presidential elections. The current authorities want to weaken us because they fear defeat. After all, everyone remembers that in 2023, Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) did not win the elections at all; they lost them by over a million votes.
- You can't beat them? Then liquidate them. We cannot allow this; our entire movement must unite in the face of this attack! - he added.
- We do not agree with this decision and will pursue legal action. We oppose attempts to destroy Polish democracy. We will fight for it, by independently raising funds for the campaign! No to a monopoly on power in Poland! - he stressed.
