Błaszczak on the Government's Work on the Civil Defence Act:
Everything Created in the Ministry of Interior and Administration Can Be Assessed as a Legal Flop.
- In the local government election campaign, the coalition government of December 13th heavily emphasized the issue of civil defence, attacking Law and Justice. We then presented a draft law that originated during the Law and Justice governments, a project concerning precisely civil defence. In April of this year, the then Minister of Interior and Administration announced that the government's draft would be presented within a month. In May, Donald Tusk also spoke about it in the same way. Today is August 2nd, and the coalition government of December 13th has still not adopted the draft civil defence act - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference.
- From the drafts to which we have access, it emerges that everything created in the Ministry of Interior and Administration can be assessed as a legal flop. Almost 500 comments were submitted regarding this draft. The fundamental comments concern the fact that adopting this version of the civil defence act would weaken our country's defence capabilities, as it would be an attack on the Polish military - he continued.
