Duda on Pegasus: I Will Comment When Evidence is Public. Many Rumors, Half-Truths, and Lies Have Surfaced Around It
- I approach all information, especially media reports, very calmly. Not so long ago, there were reports about completely different, incomparably smaller numbers of people against whom actions related to ongoing proceedings, investigations, and crime detection activities were being carried out - President Andrzej Duda said at a press briefing before departing for the USA.
- When there is evidence and it is made public - then I will comment. Many rumors, half-truths, and lies have already accumulated around this, legends. Approach this very calmly. Let the experts speak on this subject […], not rumors and making a political fuss, especially around crime prosecution - he continued.
- The system was used for the purpose of prosecuting crimes. If it were used differently, of course, an appropriate measure of responsibility should be applied here. But it was acquired in order to fight crime in a modern and effective way - he added.
