PiS Submits Bill to Reintroduce Zero VAT on Food

- When PiS was in power, we took care of people. We made sure that household incomes were higher year after year. Now, with the December 13th coalition in power, they are reaching deep into the pockets of particularly less affluent Poles, because VAT on food means draining the pockets of those who spend a significant portion of their income on food, and these are not wealthy people. Therefore, we have decided once again to submit a bill to the Sejm that reinstates the zero VAT rate on food […], guaranteeing a zero VAT rate on food until the end of this year - said Mariusz Błaszczak at a press conference. - To prevent a return to poverty, which the December 13th coalition is ushering in, we are submitting a bill and will request that the Marshal of the Sejm consider this project at the session that begins next week - he added.
