Wielichowska on IVF: The PiS Government Fails to Recognize Societal Expectations
- Official data paints a grim picture of Poland; in a decade, the population has decreased by almost half a million. Our society has aged by 4 years, and the birth rate has fallen dramatically. Today, the number of births hovers around 300,000, whereas just a few years ago it was 400,000, and 40 years ago it was 500,000 - stated Monika Wielichowska in the Sejm.
- The PiS government doesn't understand this, the PiS government doesn't recognize this because it fails to recognize societal expectations. The government doesn't see the threats and challenges that need to be met, but how can it see when it offends itself against 21st-century medicine, when it is immersed in ideology, when it is hidden behind office desks and views the world from behind limousine windows - she added.
