PiS Had to Lose for Morawiecki to Find Time to Meet with Nurses

- PiS had to lose for Prime Minister Morawiecki to find time to meet with nurses. When the government is on its way out, then time is found, but today I want to thank you sincerely and bow my head to every nurse, male and female, because you paid the highest price during the pandemic. The highest mortality rate during the pandemic was in your profession. Not without reason. Because there was no strategy for fighting COVID-19. The only strategy the government had was to siphon off money. To this day, the issues surrounding the purchase of respirators and face shields have not been clarified, of course, from an arms dealer, from a ski instructor. What's more, despite the prosecutor's office initiating proceedings, the case of the temporary hospital construction in Wrocław has not been explained – said Dariusz Joński during a Sejm session. - All of this, of course, must be explained and it will be, but I want to draw attention to the lack of respect you have shown this professional group. This is expressed not only by the fact that you eliminated the Department of Nurses and Midwives at the Ministry of Health [...], but I will recall the case of a nurse, Ms. Renata Piżanowska from the hospital in Nowy Targ. During the first wave of the coronavirus, she was summarily dismissed by the director of the hospital in Nowy Targ. For what? For saying that there were not enough masks, she said it publicly. The director, as it turned out, was a PiS regional councilor. This nurse, instead of fighting for people's health and lives during the pandemic in the hospital, fought in court for a year and a half. The court, after a year and a half, ruled in her favor and reinstated her to her position. You slandered her, dragged her through the mud, and today you come and have the audacity to say you want to help nurses? This is a scandal. For us, people are the most important, and we will do everything to keep our word, and we will – he continued.
