Soboń:
We Filed a Bill to Extend Zero VAT Rate on Food
- Today, as the Law and Justice parliamentary club, we filed the first bill of this term, a bill that Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki announced, a bill that means a zero VAT rate on food for another six months, i.e., from January 1st to the end of June 2024. This is a bill that we hope will find support in the chamber, because according to the announcements of all those who want to form a government coalition today and who announce that this coalition led by Prime Minister Tusk will be formed, they have stated many times: what is given will not be taken away. Hence, we are submitting a bill, not a regulation, so that there are no doubts. We know that a regulation is possible, but we want to have a guarantee that the government that is formed will not withdraw from this solution which is beneficial for Poles – stated Artur Soboń during a press conference.
