Czarnek to the Opposition: You Will Never Again Force Poles to Toil Almost to Death
Because the PO was against lowering the retirement age when this act was being considered, Nowoczesna, Ms. Lubnauer, Ms. Gasiuk-Pihowicz were against lowering the retirement age, the PSL graciously abstained, but was also not in favor of lowering the age. So we must ask Poles, and Poles will tell you. You will never again force Poles to toil almost to death, women in the countryside until the age of 67. The Polish nation will forbid you from doing so – stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

Czarnek to the Opposition: You are shamelessly lying, you would want to privatize Lotos, Orlen, airports, seaports, everything

You are shamelessly lying, you would want to privatize Lotos, Orlen, you would want to privatize airports, seaports, airports, everything. They want to privatize Orlen, their expert Grabowski, Balcerowicz want to sell, and they talk about Lotos. Lotos became part of the large Orlen group, thanks to which the share of the State Treasury, of Poles, increased from about 25% to 50% – stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

Czarnek:

Neither Tusk nor Weber Will Tell Us the Border Wall is Unnecessary
– Neither Tusk nor Weber will tell us that this border wall is unnecessary, that it will not be built, and that it needs to be connected to electricity. Shame, shame. In a country like Finland, everyone, from left to right, was in favour of building the wall. But in Poland, we have Civic Coalition, an anti-Polish opposition, and you have shown this in this legislation concerning the border wall – stated Przemysław Czarnek in the Sejm.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

We would propose – are you in favour of stopping the uncontrolled import of grain and food from Ukraine that is destroying Polish agriculture? This is a timely question.

– If it weren't for the elections, there would be no referendum, there would be no referendum, there would be no questions. Because what did they do in 2017? They rejected 910 signatures from citizens under ZNP's motion to hold a referendum on your failed education reform – stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in the Sejm.

– Since 2021, a draft bill on a referendum day has been submitted, proposing to hold a referendum in Poland every first Sunday of September, annually. To this day, you haven't even found the time to send it to committee or conduct its first reading. This is direct democracy as performed by PiS. One big fraud and lie, they are only doing this to manipulate the elections, to lead to us being a divided society once again – he added.

– The first question we would propose, if you accept these four proposals, is that we will withdraw the fifth question. If you do not accept them, we will only ask the fifth question – are you in favour of stopping the uncontrolled import of grain and food from Ukraine that is destroying Polish agriculture and threatening Polish consumers. This is a timely question – he continued.

Müller:

Tusk Fears This Referendum Like the Devil Fears Holy Water
– Is the sale of national assets, this policy pursued by your friend Leszek Balcerowicz, your friend Janusz Lewandowski, and other politicians, is this not an important matter for you, have you not drawn conclusions from what you did in the 90s and during the years you governed, when Donald Tusk was your Prime Minister? – said Piotr Müller at a Sejm session. – The retirement age, is this an important issue for you, for citizens, or not? You think not. This is the path of the Left, which is boycotting this referendum, as you have already announced. I ask you: is it possible that you are already in a deal with Donald Tusk, planning to raise the retirement age? Why are you afraid to vote on a simple matter, why are you afraid to tie the hands of every government in the future on this issue? If you were brave, if you defended left-wing postulates, you would say directly today that you are voting against raising the retirement age… tie Tusk’s hands for the future, you are afraid of that, because you are afraid he won’t invite you to the government if he is bound by this postulate that is in the referendum – he continued. – Illegal migration and the forced relocation package, which is being served by the European bureaucracy. Again, you claim there is no forced relocation, so why don't you vote in this referendum… I have a strong conviction that Donald Tusk fears this referendum like the devil fears holy water. He fears it because citizens can tie his future decisions, which he wanted to make together with his colleague Weber and other European leaders, with these solutions – he went on to say.

Biejat:

This is not a referendum, but a political stunt for party infighting

We have seen how you listen to women who took to the streets by the hundreds of thousands to defend their right to abortion. We have seen how you listen to people with disabilities when you barred them from the Sejm committee when matters concerning their lives were being discussed. We have seen, Minister Czarnek, how you listen to scientists, academics, representatives of parents, children, and students when you were demolishing Polish science and the education system. That's why PiS will spend millions from the state budget on a referendum campaign, because you need to somehow convince Poles that you do listen to them after all – said Magdalena Biejat during a Sejm session.

A referendum should be a serious matter. A referendum serves to discuss key issues. We approved the Polish Constitution in a referendum. In a referendum, we voted for Poland to join the European Union. Those were referendums, those were celebrations of democracy. What you are proposing today is not a referendum at all, but a political stunt for party infighting – she continued.

One only needs to look at the questions [...] they resemble a poor poll prepared by an inferior research firm [...] “do you support the sale of state assets to foreign entities, leading to Poles losing control over strategic sectors of the economy.” So, the sale of state assets for peanuts is okay, as long as Mr. Kulczyk, Mr. Bierecki, or another billionaire who happens to have a Polish passport profits. Moreover, selling to foreign entities is also okay, as long as it's in installments. This question means nothing, it doesn't bind the hands of the authorities at all, it completely fails to protect Polish assets from being sold off [...] On October 15th, we have one important vote, and that is the vote for the Polish parliament – she went on to say.

Kierwiński:

You treat Poles according to your chief ideologue Mr. Kurski's doctrine that the ignorant masses will buy anything

Yes, ladies and gentlemen, this referendum is invalid, and you know why. It is invalid because it is indecent, because it is a way to illegally finance your election campaign, but above all, because of how you treat Poles. You treat Poles according to your chief ideologue Mr. Kurski's doctrine that the ignorant masses will buy anything. No, they won't buy everything, and they won't buy Mr. Czarnek's lies – said Marcin Kierwiński during a Sejm session.

– Now let's talk about these questions, about the sale, as you call it, of national assets. Why didn't you ask Poles when you gave away for free, when you gave away the Polish refinery for free? Why didn't you ask Poles about it then, you gave away this refinery for the value of 3 months' profit from this refinery, not 3 years', not 30 years', 3 months', you gave it away and didn't ask Poles – he stated.

Yes, no one is forcing us into forced migration, no one except the PiS government. Because it was the PiS government that prepared a scandalous regulation that was supposed to easily let everyone into our market. In 2022, you let 135,000 migrants from Muslim countries into Poland (...) You are bringing in both legal and illegal migrants, you are the most pro-migrant government since '89 – he summarized.

But you are not even able to defend the Polish border. You lose missiles, you lose helicopters, you lose bomb fuses, you lose everything, because you are bunglers – he added.

Because this is exactly how you want to bypass election campaign financing through a loophole, but you won't succeed. Poles will answer one fundamental question. Do you want this band of failures, this band of people who are plundering Poland, to continue to rule, and Poles will overwhelmingly say no, on October 15th we will chase away Kaczyński, Morawiecki, and you too, Mr. Czarnek – he said.

Opposition Announces Senate Pact. Tusk: A Very Important Day
– This is truly a very important day, and it has not only a practical dimension. After very hard and intensive work, very substantive work, we have established common candidates in the Senate pact […] but it also has a symbolic dimension. I am convinced that just as we succeeded in establishing a common list for the Senate with mutual respect and understanding of each other's positions, it will also be easier for us to establish cooperation after the elections, I am convinced, after winning the elections, so this responsibility will be even greater. I wanted to very warmly thank all participants in these talks, which were tough, very honest, and ended with a happy ending – said Donald Tusk during the announcement of the Senate pact.

12:12

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

Don't Be Deceived by Pharisees Spreading Confusion

Ladies and gentlemen, I would like to begin with words to our voters, all formations that create the Senate pact. We will run from different committees, but none of our formations will obstruct each other in these Senate elections. We are repeating what was a success in 2019. It is a great matter that you trusted us then and entrusted the reins of the Senate to the democratic opposition – said Władysław Kosiniak Kamysz at a press conference regarding the Senate pact.

I ask our voters for their support and we support all candidates of the Senate pact. Do not be deceived by various Pharisees who will impersonate us or sow confusion. There is a clear choice in every Senate electoral district, there is only one person representing the Senate pact, only one person will represent the Senate pact within our common agreements – he added.

12:15

Hołownia:

The Senate We Elect in October Will Be a Democratic Senate, Defending Us from the Threatening Coalition of Lawlessness and Injustice with Konfederacja
– We are new here, but we are very pleased to be able to participate in this agreement, in the Senate pact, which is like a clear demonstration of what truly matters to us in politics. What matters to us in Trzecia Droga, and the reason we formed it, is solving people's problems, not politicians' problems, solving them efficiently, solving them in a way that shows people there is hope, that new politics is possible – stated Szymon Hołownia during the announcement of the Senate pact. – This Senate pact, this agreement among democratic groups not to counteract each other, but to cooperate in single-mandate constituencies, where the individual matters even more than in any other electoral system, where the name matters, where what a given candidate represents matters – this is the only solution that can lead to the Senate we elect in October being a democratic Senate, a Senate that will defend us from the threatening coalition of lawlessness and injustice with Konfederacja. This will be a Senate that will introduce a new quality to politics, that will finally bring civic politics to the grand halls of Warsaw – continued the leader of Polski 2050. – As I said, we are new here, we as Polska 2050, we are not greedy either. We care about fighting together for what can be fought for together. Our eight candidates will largely compete in constituencies that are currently PiS-held. They will fight with a raised visor for a mandate, with the conviction that it can be won, that what we are currently seeing in the Senate, thanks to senators from Law and Justice, from United Right, can be changed. It will be a good campaign, these are wonderful people, from all the groups I have seen and heard here – he added.

12:15

Czarzasty:

We Showed We Can Reach Agreement
– This part has come to an end. We showed that we can reach an agreement. It took a long time because the personalities are different, but we reached an agreement, which bodes well for the future. I can assure you and you of one thing: of very, very hard work for the sake of the Senate pact, and that within these 15 seats, which you agreed to let the Left take care of, inter alia. regarding Warsaw, Katowice, Opole, Kielce, we will do everything to ensure we win together, I repeat: win together. Not the Left, not the Right, not the liberals, but together as the opposition we will win – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty during the announcement of the Senate pact.

Another Step Towards Building a Modern Pension System by Providing Poles with Up-to-Date Information on All Their Pension Savings
The Central Pension Information system has been adopted by Parliament. This is another step towards building a modern pension system by providing Poles with up-to-date information on all their pension savings. This will facilitate financial planning and increase retirement security – wrote Paweł Borys, CEO of PFR.
