Impact’22:

Women Empowerment Track – Equality and Diversity as Keys to Success
On May 11th and 12th, during the Impact’22 conference in Poznań, another edition of the discussion series within the Women Empowerment track will take place. Contemporary reality convinces us that the key to success lies in the ability to leverage diverse experiences – which makes strengthening women's position in the business world even more crucial. However, there is still work to be done in this area. Guests of Impact’22 will also discuss issues of equality, diversity, and inclusivity. They will, of course, touch upon the topic of women in leadership positions. But they will also delve into the issue of so-called unconscious gender bias – how do unacknowledged stereotypes affect a woman's role in the workplace? – *A good leader sees everything much more broadly, sees more, is a great observer, and quickly draws conclusions. Are we, women, like that? I think so, because since the dawn of time, we’ve had to deal not with lying on the couch, but with organizing the household* – said Omenaa Mensah, one of the special guests of this year's edition, with a twinkle in her eye at the previous Impact edition. And she added, specifically on the topic of stereotypes – *We, women, are, contrary to appearances, very concrete.* Meanwhile, the fact that the key to self-realization and achieving success is precisely finding one's own path and consistently following it has been repeatedly emphasized by Anna Lewandowska, another speaker at this and previous Impact editions. – *No longer having to prove that you are strong, good enough, behaving appropriately, because you have found your own voice and only want to speak with it. It's about turning dreams into plans because you believe in yourself enough not to be afraid of them* – wrote the sportswoman and entrepreneur about what it means to be a woman. In today's world, one cannot escape the topic of the pandemic's impact on women's position in the workplace, nor the role of women's participation in the technology industry. Technologies shape the modern world – therefore, their co-shaping by women is the key to a more equal world. Since women's participation on equal terms is so important, how can we promote gender equality? And not just in the workplace, but in the market and society? Impact’22 guests will also discuss this. They will try to answer the question of why men should also advocate for the empowerment of more female leaders and what actions by socially responsible companies can help combat prejudice and gender discrimination. The guests of this year's edition who will tackle these topics include Omenaa Mensah (entrepreneur, charity activist, and TV presenter), Ania Lewandowska (businesswoman, sportswoman), Piotr Voelkel (VOX Capital Group), Kamila Kaliszyk (Mastercard), Magdalena Dziewguć (Google), Patrycja Rogowska-Tomaszycka (Provident), Anna Wróbel (Allegro), Anna Kornecka (Clean Poland Program Association), Monika Zielińska (Ikea), Andrzej J. Kozłowski (Emitel), Justyna Lach (YES), and Justyna Bartnik, Kopeć Zaborowski Law Firm. Participant registration has started at this link.
