A business globetrotter channeling his commitment and charisma towards climate protection and the implementation of ecological solutions in transport. Meet Peter Carlsson, CEO of the Swedish company Northvolt, one of the speakers we will have the pleasure of hearing at the spring edition of Impact’21.
Peter Carlsson – originally from Sweden – is the founder and CEO of the Swedish lithium-ion battery manufacturing company Northvolt. A company with the potential to become the largest producer in its industry globally, which will also conduct production in Poland.
Carlsson is an economist by education and a business leader, and his professional portfolio is impressive.
In 2015, he founded Amplify Ops, a company that helps startups build scalable operations from scratch. Since March 2016, Peter has also been a board member of Orbital Systems in Malmo, Sweden. Concurrently, he serves on the board of Fingerprint Cards in Gothenburg and is an advisor to Elementum SCM in Mountain View.
Before founding Northvolt, Peter Carlsson was the Managing Director at Tesla Motors. He held the position of Vice President of Supply Chain – an experience that enabled him to initiate the production of lithium-ion batteries for powering electric vehicles, which is Northvolt's core business.
Carlsson has worked in Singapore, the United States, and Sweden. He spent 13 years working for Sony Ericsson in ventures spanning both the United States and Sweden. You must admit, his CV is enviable.
However, don't be misled – Peter Carlsson is, above all, an open and friendly person who also finds fulfillment outside of business. He loves traveling and cooking, as well as playing golf. He enjoys activities that keep him fit and healthy, such as mountain biking and running.
Carlsson is a dynamic speaker who is well-versed in the facts concerning the state of the environment. He has a common-sense plan for improving the very tense global climate situation.
Charisma, experience, and a comprehensive education are his assets and the key to educating and inspiring people to unite for a just cause – improving the quality of the air we breathe and building climate awareness.
Peter Carlsson has a history of business success and is respected in the business community. It is therefore our great pleasure to announce that this man of undoubtedly many talents will be a speaker at the spring edition of Impact’21!
What can we expect on the Impact’21 stage in May?
Since its inception, the Impact Foundation has organized events that are a phenomenon of the Polish conference market: the traditional format of long panel debates has been replaced by short, dynamic presentations. Impact has also changed its approach to round tables, which at Impact are shorter than usual and discuss very specific topics in a small, closed group. The Impact team also focuses on popular international speakers and constantly seeks new technological inspirations.
The Impact Foundation's congresses are not only venues for the development of innovation and new business but also high-profile economic and political events. At our events, announcements have included: the launch of the Start in Poland program, GovTech Polska, the commencement of the Tauron CVC Fund's operations – in cooperation with NCBR and PFR, and the premieres of the National Reconstruction Plan.
