What to Watch on Women's Day: The TOP 5 Female Presentations from the Impact Conference

1. We'll start with Esther Wojcicki.

Why? Because she's not one woman, but four. Esther is the mother of Susan Wojcicki – CEO of YouTube, Anne Wojcicki – CEO of the biotechnology company 23andMe, and Janet Wojcicki – an anthropologist and epidemiologist. Esther recently published the book "How to Raise Successful People," and at Impact in 2017, she spoke about her previous publication: "Moonshots of Education."

2. The second presentation is the Keynote Speech by Ellen Roche from MIT "Engineer your heart – how smart robotics help us live better?"

Ellen Roche earned a bachelor's degree in biomedical engineering from NUIGalway in Ireland, and then worked in the medical device industry (Mednova, Abbott Vascular, and Medtronic) before obtaining a master's degree in bioengineering from Trinity College Dublin. She completed her doctoral studies at Harvard University under the supervision of Professor David Mooney at the Mooney Lab and Professor Conor Walsh at the Harvard Biodesign Lab.

3. Time for a Pole. In 2020, during Impact Connected Edition, Magdalena Dziewguć, Business Director at Google Cloud, stunned everyone with her conversation. Watch it here!

4. Payal Dalal, Senior Vice President at Mastercard, also made a huge impression. During last year's Connected Edition, she announced the handover of a grant of $200,000 (approx. PLN 750,000) for the digitalization of small and medium-sized enterprises in Poland.

5. Our TOP 5 concludes with an interview with... the robot Sophia.

Yes, in 2018, Impact invited a humanoid robot using artificial intelligence to the stage. She performed in Krakow and received a student ID from AGH. Shortly thereafter, Jarosław Gowin announced from the same stage that work on a national strategy for developing artificial intelligence would commence in Poland.
