Friday's Political Agenda: PM Morawiecki's Conference on New Restrictions

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki's press conference concerning new safety regulations, where new restrictions will most likely be announced, will take place at 11:00. The meeting between the head of government and journalists was originally scheduled for yesterday, but the date was changed due to parliamentary votes.

Müller:

The Number of Cases is Growing in Such a Way That Difficult Decisions Will Undoubtedly Have to Be Made

"I would like to point out that the number of cases is growing in such a way that difficult decisions will undoubtedly have to be made. What is happening in the Czech Republic and other EU countries also shows that preventive measures should be taken in a timely manner, otherwise we will face a situation where the healthcare system may be unable to cope," said government spokesman Minister Piotr Müller on Radio One.

07:52

Müller:

The 'For Life' Program Should Be Expanded, and Such Work Will Undoubtedly Begin
The 'For Life' program is already in operation. It should be expanded, and such work will undoubtedly begin. Deputy Czerwińska mentioned this. It should be emphasized that in 2019, over 41,000 families were covered by family assistant care, and benefits were paid to individuals with terminally ill children. Comprehensive assistance was provided by the National Health Fund (NFZ) to pregnant women” – said government spokesperson, Minister Piotr Müller, on Jedynka radio.

Fogiel Asked if He Likes the Constitutional Tribunal's Abortion Ruling: It's Not About My Individual Opinions. I Don't Judge When the Constitutional Tribunal Issues Rulings

- This tribunal ruling may be liked or disliked. Certainly, there are many citizens in Poland who receive it with satisfaction... - said Radosław Fogiel on TVN24.

- And do you like this ruling, or not, Mr. MP? - asked Agata Adamek.

- It's not about my individual opinions.

- It is also about that, because you are a politician from PiS. It is extremely interesting for me to know your opinion on this matter.

- Madam Editor, I do not judge when the Constitutional Tribunal issues rulings. This stems from the tribunal's internal regulations - Fogiel replied.

08:06

Soloch:

Today the President Will Visit the National Stadium Being Converted into a Hospital

- Today the President will visit the National Stadium, which is being converted into a hospital. This is an example of exemplary action, planned, because the plan to organize a hospital in this specific location was prepared in the spring of this year, and thanks to this, we expect it to be ready next week – stated Paweł Soloch in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti".

08:08

Fogiel:

The Constitutional Tribunal Makes Its Own Sovereign Decisions

- It wasn't changed in the Sejm because there was no such proposal from the ruling majority - said Radosław Fogiel on TVN24.

- But surely you don't want to tell me that the Constitutional Tribunal, under the leadership of Julia Przyłębska, acts against the will of Law and Justice? - asked Agata Adamek.

- Madam editor, I'm very sorry to have to shatter the perceptions, which I know are dominant in your station, but the Constitutional Tribunal makes its own sovereign decisions - Fogiel replied.

- I don't think we'll hear anything funnier today, Mr. MP, than the assertion that the Constitutional Tribunal, under the leadership of the 'social discovery of the year' – that's a quote from the PiS leader – is an organ independent of PiS - stated the journalist.

08:27

Soloch:

Certain actions were taken. Naturally, the question arises whether all actions were sufficient. The answer is: no, not all, not sufficiently. This is similar to what happens in other countries.

- Certainly, the President wasn't [completely calm], but I also know that the government wasn't reassured by the situation. Certain actions were taken. Naturally, the question arises whether all were sufficient. The answer is: no, not all, not sufficiently. This is similar to what happens in other countries, but certain actions and certain considerations were already happening in June, at the end of May. An example of the positive actions, because clearly, we can also point to certain gaps, as always in this type of situation where the development is not entirely predictable, is this program to launch the last line of hospitals - stated Paweł Soloch in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

08:29

Fogiel on the motion to the Constitutional Tribunal regarding abortion: I didn't sign. I considered my signature unnecessary.

- Are you, as PiS, satisfied with this ruling of the Constitutional Tribunal, or did the tribunal do you a disservice? Because as I listen to you, it's not clear to me - Agata Adamek asked Radosław Fogiel.

- What does a disservice mean? The Tribunal is performing its duties…

- But who signed the motion to the tribunal, Mr. Deputy?

- One hundred and a dozen or so deputies…

- Including a large group of PiS deputies.

- Deputies from Kukiz’15, Konfederacja, and some PiS deputies. They had the right to do so. Every deputy has the right to sign a motion to the Constitutional Tribunal. Deputies from other groupings could also have signed this motion, deputies from other groupings can also sign other motions.

- You didn't sign?

- I didn't sign.

- Why?

- Because I considered my signature to be unnecessary there - stated Radosław Fogiel.

Kukiz on Constitutional Tribunal Ruling: PiS Acknowledged Such Chaos in the State Due to Covid That a Topic Was Needed to Effectively Cover Up All These Events

- The Law and Justice party acknowledged that there is such chaos in the state related to Covid that a topic was needed which would effectively cover up all these events, or rather, the lack of events, that are currently taking place. This is something, perhaps I've exaggerated, but that's the impression I get - said Paweł Kukiz in an interview with Dariusz Wieczorkowski on Radio Wrocław.

- Please notice what happened yesterday. Women are already going out into the streets, there are nighttime escapades etc. So, this will certainly be eagerly taken up by the other side, by the opposition - he added.

09:50

Kukiz:

Introducing changes to exhaust both children and parents is a terrible thing

- Introducing changes to exhaust both children and parents within this act, meaning a ruling that de facto leads to the interpretation of this act, effectively creating a new act through such a ruling, they have tightened the abortion act, this is a terrible thing - said Paweł Kukiz on Radio Wrocław.

10:01

Woś:

If anyone had a referral for an abortion procedure and the ruling is announced, they cannot proceed because there is no legal basis for it.

If anyone had a referral for the procedure and the ruling is announced, they cannot carry it out because there is no legal basis for it. The Constitutional Tribunal has unequivocally spoken out in favor of the equality of people, human beings, regardless of the stage they are in – before birth or after birth” - said Minister Michał Woś of Solidarna Polska in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

10:26

Nitras:

I fear radicalism and profanity on TV or the street do not serve the cause. We can gain the support of those who are usually silent, or lose it. Kaczyński will want to present the protesters as a handful of radicals, preferably at odds with each ot

I am concerned that radicalism and profanity on air or in the street do not serve the cause. One can gain the support of people who are usually silent, or lose it. Kaczyński will want to present the protesters as a handful of radicals, preferably at odds with each other. Ni

PM Morawiecki: The Situation Remains Poor and Dynamic; Our Actions Must Be Decisive
"Unfortunately, the situation remains poor and dynamic. Today there has been another increase in the number of infected individuals with a very high number of tests, exceeding 60,000. The number of infected has significantly surpassed 13,000. The number of deaths from Covid-19 is also high, and our actions must be decisive," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:15

PM:

Today We Are in a Completely Different Place Than a Month Ago. The Average Number of Cases in Europe is 170 per 100,000 Inhabitants. In Poland, it's Around 160
"Today we are in a completely different place than a month ago. On September 23rd, the level of infections was around a thousand, even lower, today this number is approaching 15,000 daily. The second wave has hit Europe with almost similar force, the average number of cases in Europe is 170 per 100,000 inhabitants. In Poland, it's around 160 per 100,000. In response to this situation, some countries have decided to completely shut down their economies, a total lockdown" – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:16

Morawiecki:

Occupied Beds Exceed 10,000, Total COVID-19 Beds at 18,000. We Must Halt Infection Growth
"At the present moment, the number of occupied beds has exceeded 10,000, and the total available beds for COVID-19 patients is 18,000. This means we still have a buffer, but we are very, very concerned about the rate of increase. We must halt the growth of infections, and restrictions will show their effect in 10-14 days" – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:19

PM:

If these restrictions don't work, we'll have to impose deeper closures on various areas of social, cultural, and economic life
"If these restrictions don't work, we'll have to impose deeper closures on various areas of social, cultural, and economic life. It's clear that health, life, and the stability of the healthcare system are paramount. For now, available beds, including those with ventilators, are at around 40%, but we must realize that if further, drastic steps are needed, such as closing borders, various movement bans, or a deep lockdown, we will have to decide on such a step, unless we see a flattening of the curve, a slowdown in the increase of infections" – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:20

PM Morawiecki: All restrictions were consulted with our team of epidemiologists, virologists, scientists, and doctors
"All restrictions were consulted with our team of epidemiologists, virologists, scientists, and doctors, and as such, I consider them to be the most appropriate at the current moment," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:23

PM:

Primary School Grades 4-8 to Move Online
"The key change we are implementing today is for primary school grades 4 to 8 to operate remotely, in order to reduce social contacts and the intensity of traffic on public transport. This is very necessary to break the chain of transmission. This justification also pertains to certain research. In the group of individuals up to 11-12 years of age, the infection rate, with a similar number of tests, is three times lower than in the 13-19 age group. This also has its scientific justification. Furthermore, toddlers and younger children, who are just starting school or are in kindergarten, are cared for, and for them, stationary education is very important, even more so than for older youth and children due to psychological, mental, and educational values" - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:25

PM:

Children and Youth Restricted from Independent Movement, Gatherings Between 8 AM and 4 PM
"The responsibility for the effectiveness of our actions lies with everyone, with the entire society, including children and youth. Their task, their responsibility will consist in the fact that between the hours of 8 AM and 4 PM they cannot move independently, go out, or meet in groups, even only under adult supervision," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:27

PM:

Restaurants, Pubs, and Cafes to Offer Takeaway Only. This Restriction Planned for Two Weeks, with Possible Extension
"The restriction of restaurant, pub, and cafe activities, all such companies and businesses will not be able to operate as before. They will only be able to offer takeaway dishes. This restriction is planned for now for two weeks, with the possibility of extension, if at the end of the week we do not see a change in the number of infections or - even worse - if this number continues to grow," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:31

Niedzielski:

A Critical Week Ahead. This Coming Week Will Determine if We Face Further Exponential Escalation of the Pandemic

- We are facing a critical week. Critical in the sense that this coming week will determine whether we will deal with a further, exponential escalation of the pandemic, or if the character of the increase in cases will change. Unfortunately, the dark scenarios are coming true, which a week ago, we presented a forecast that this week we would be testing 15,000 daily cases - said Adam Niedzielski during a press conference.

11:32

PM:

Ban on All Activities for Groups of More Than 5 People, Including Gatherings, Activities, and Meetings
"The fourth restriction is a ban on all types of activities for groups of more than 5 people, meaning various kinds of gatherings, activities, meetings, because we also see that in recent days, large groups of people have been meeting, and we are convinced, as are epidemiologists, that this is a source and breeding ground for infections," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:34

Niedzielski:

If this trend continues, next week we will be exposed to the risk of 20-25 thousand daily cases. This scenario is worse than a black scenario
If this trend were to continue, then next week, looking at the exponential nature of the pandemic's development, we would be exposed to the risk of 20-25 thousand daily cases. This scenario is already a scenario worse than a black one – said Adam Niedzielski during a press conference.

11:34

PM:

We Ask Seniors Over 70 Who Are Not Working to Stay Home, If Possible. To This End, We Are Launching the 'Solidarity Corps for Senior Support' Program
"Elderly people – our mothers, fathers, grandmothers, grandfathers – are primarily exposed to death, a serious threat to their health. We are introducing the 'Senior Protection' program. We ask seniors over 70 years of age who are not working to refrain from moving around and, if possible, from leaving their homes. To this end, we are launching the 'Solidarity Corps for Senior Support' program to take care of seniors who do not have natural, home-based care, do not live with their families, or whose families cannot help them for various reasons. This Corps, through the broad involvement of organizations, volunteers, scouts, the Territorial Defence Force, or operational troops, we want to launch immediately to encourage all seniors to stay in their homes" – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

11:36

Niedzielski:

Our Healthcare System Continuously Maintains Capacity and Operational Efficiency

- Our healthcare system continuously maintains its capacity and operational efficiency. Of course, individual stories emerge, but please remember that we are in a difficult time, and these stories are bound to appear. We are certainly reacting and trying to counteract them, but we are long past the comfort zone – said Adam Niedzielski during a press conference.

11:39

Niedzielski:

The Prime Minister's ambitious plan is to have approximately 30,000 beds by the end of the month

- We are establishing temporary hospitals, which we plan will add approximately 5,000 beds to our bed infrastructure. The ambitious plan, presented by the Prime Minister as a goal to achieve, is to have approximately 30,000 beds by the end of the month. I am speaking here about the turn of October and November - said Adam Niedzielski during a press conference.

11:42

Niedzielski:

We've prepared a solution to better utilize our medics. It was adopted yesterday, and I'm counting on the Senate to also expedite this bill in an extraordinary session.
We've prepared a solution that will help us better utilize our medics, our medical staff. This solution was adopted yesterday, thanks to the joint acceptance of all political forces, and I am counting on the Senate to also expedite this bill in an extraordinary session, recognizing the gravity of the moment – said Adam Niedzielski during a press conference.

12:08

PM Asked About Compensation Program: We Will Present Support Program for These Sectors in a Very Short Time

- Regarding compensation and the entire compensation program, yes, absolutely. The catering industry will be most affected by these restrictions, and other sectors that were effectively shut down a week ago will now be thoroughly analyzed during consultations, so that in a very short time, measured in hours and days, we will present a support program for these sectors - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated at a press conference.

I thank everyone who is working on this, I thank the medical staff, all the people involved, the volunteers. I thank the representatives of the government - said President Andrzej Duda during a briefing at the National Stadium.

14:06

President Duda: Masks, Masks, and Once Again Masks. I Recommend Them Not Only in Public Places, But Also in More Private Situations, with Friends.

- We must limit the spread of the coronavirus by all means, and therefore, first and foremost, adhere to the rules. Ladies and gentlemen, masks as much as possible and when necessary, also gloves in places where we know we will be meeting - said President Andrzej Duda during a briefing at the National Stadium.

- First and foremost, masks, masks, and once again masks. I recommend them not only in public places, but also in more private situations, with friends. It is really worth using these masks. It may not be comfortable, but it is certainly safer for your health - he added.

"We of course respect and abide by yesterday's Constitutional Tribunal ruling, and we will do everything we can to fulfill its premises."

"We of course respect and abide by yesterday's Constitutional Tribunal ruling, and we will do everything we can to fulfill its premises. As for the protection of persons with disabilities, we already launched our 'For Life' program in the previous term. This is a program that provides significant support to pregnant women, their children, in difficult situations where children are disabled," said the spokesperson for Law and Justice, Anita Czerwińska, in an interview with Adrian Klarenbach on Polish Radio 24.

17:26

Czerwińska:

The Law and Justice Government is the First to Address Disability Assistance in a Spectacular Fashion

The Law and Justice government is the first government to have addressed the issue, indeed in a spectacular fashion, of assistance for people with disabilities. Yesterday, immediately after that ruling, we announced that no mother or child would be left without help. The 'For Life' program was linked to the abortion ban legislation and referred to this situation. In connection with this ruling, with the new situation in Poland, we have announced that we will take all actions to strengthen what has been developed so far,” said Law and Justice spokesperson Anita Czerwińska on Polskie Radio 24.

Trzaskowski on Protest at PiS Leader's Home: I Ensured City Observers Were Present. Yesterday Everything Indicated Police Abused Their Prerogatives. I Also Asked Medics to Be There

- I ensured that observers from the city were sent there, and they are there, because yesterday everything indicated that the police had abused their prerogatives. I also asked medical rescuers to be present, to provide assistance in case of need, because today emotions are really at their peak, and I am not surprised. If the ruling party, during Covid, during an epidemic, solely to divert citizens' attention from their own lack of professionalism, from the fact that they were not prepared to face the second phase of Covid and wasted several months, allows such an unbelievably controversial decision to be made - said Rafał Trzaskowski in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

19:55

Trzaskowski:

Political Nominees Dictated by Kaczyński Decide Constitutional Interpretation, Purely Political and Unacceptable

- A few political nominees, who are not legal authorities whatsoever, are deciding on the interpretation of the constitution under Mr. Jarosław Kaczyński's dictate. And let's not pretend this is a completely independent or objective matter. This is a purely political interpretation of the constitution, which should never take place - stated Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News.

19:59

Trzaskowski:

The government has done absolutely nothing in recent months to prepare for the second wave of Covid

- I am ready to cooperate at all times, and we have been cooperating since March. The only problem is that, in my opinion, the government has done absolutely nothing in recent months to prepare for the second wave of Covid. The last time I met with the Prime Minister was in April, then six months of silence, and only a week ago was the second or third meeting - said Rafał Trzaskowski on Polsat News.

Prime Minister in Address: We Chose a Strategy that Rejects Extremes. We Are Taking the Middle Road. Let's Put Political Disputes Aside. There Will Be Time for Them Later
Please, let's not underestimate the threat, let's stand together to fight the virus. Wherever we are, let's apply the iron rule of DDM - distance, disinfection, mask. Let's ensure frequent ventilation of rooms. Let's also take care of our safety by using the STOP COVID application on our phones. Remember to help the elderly who should stay at home. Let's be responsible - by taking care of ourselves, we also take care of others - says Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in a televised address.
Every daily, even small, decision we make today is of great importance. The stakes of this fight are the health and lives of our loved ones. Our neighbours, friends, companions, family members. Finally - perhaps all of us. We must overcome this epidemic. As a Nation, we have always been able to be brave and sacrificial. United - we will win! - emphasizes the head of the Polish government. Below is the full text of the speech.
***** Ladies and Gentlemen! Dear Compatriots! The epidemic situation in Poland and Europe is very serious. The virus has returned with much greater force than in the spring of this year. Infection records are being broken across the continent. In Poland too, we are struggling with a daily increasing number of infections.
NEW SAFETY RULES The seriousness of the situation requires swift and decisive action. We did not hesitate to take them in the spring, and we do not hesitate now. Therefore, from Saturday, new safety rules will be in effect throughout Poland: the whole of Poland will be a red zone, and children and youth from the fourth grade of primary school will switch to remote learning. Restrictions also apply to our seniors.
In making these decisions - which are difficult both socially and economically - we are guided by the opinions of the most important Polish and foreign authorities - epidemiologists and virologists.
This long and exhausting fight against the coronavirus pandemic evokes various emotions and doubts. However, the government must rise above them in its actions and make key decisions that are in the interest of all Poles. This is our responsibility.
STRATEGY OF ACTION AND PREPARATION FOR THE SECOND WAVE OF THE PANDEMIC This is precisely why we have chosen a strategy that rejects extremes. We are taking the middle road and applying optimal solutions. Our strategy is based on three pillars: Firstly – to ensure the efficiency and resilience of the healthcare system, so as to effectively fight for the health of every person at risk.
Secondly – to guarantee economic stability, so as to save jobs and ensure the financial security of Polish families.
And thirdly – to provide special protection to the weakest and most vulnerable, especially our seniors and the sick.
In this difficult fight, we are wiser thanks to the experience gained during the first wave of the epidemic. The swift actions taken in the spring not only protected the lives and health of Poles but also gave us time to prepare for the challenges we face now. We have used this time. We have purchased essential equipment: ventilators, additional hospital beds, protective equipment for medical personnel. Every day, these resources are being delivered to hospitals across Poland to serve patients.
We have also prepared solutions that will help relieve the healthcare system at this crucial moment. At the National Stadium and in several other locations across Poland, we are organizing special hospitals that will serve as a reserve for the most difficult times.
Equally important for us is the fight to maintain Polish jobs. Thanks to the efficiently launched anti-crisis and financial shield, we are now able to face the second wave of the epidemic.
ENGAGEMENT OF SERVICES IN THE FIGHT AGAINST CORONAVIRUS All of this would not be possible without the immense dedication of hundreds of thousands of people. I especially want to thank those who are fighting the epidemic on the front lines – our medical services and uniformed services. Your daily duties are more than just work. It is great sacrifice and service that cannot be overstated. You are true heroes!
However, there are also violations of applicable rules and disregard for preventive measures. We will react to such behaviour – because adhering to orders and required restrictions is in the interest of all of us.
SOLIDARITY IN TIMES OF CRISIS We can only win against the epidemic if we are united. We saw this in the Sejm, when we managed to efficiently pass a law that is an important step towards controlling the second wave of the epidemic.
In many countries, the issue of fighting COVID is excluded from political disputes. We would like it to be similar in Poland. This is precisely why I recently invited the entire opposition to a meeting on fighting the pandemic. I would like to reiterate this clearly and emphatically today: let's put political disputes aside. There will be time for them later. Now is the time to act! The lives, health, and jobs of Poles are the most important. Let's do it together!
Ladies and Gentlemen! Dear Compatriots!
The coming days, weeks, and months will be difficult. The daily efforts of doctors and the entire healthcare system, as well as the actions of the government and state administration, remain the foundation of the fight against the epidemic. But all of this may not be enough if we do not join this fight in solidarity as a community, as a nation.
APPEAL FOR ADHERENCE TO SAFETY RULES Therefore, I appeal to you – to all citizens, to all social and professional groups, to the young and the elderly: Please, let's not underestimate the threat, let's stand together to fight the virus. Wherever we are, let's apply the iron rule of DDM - distance, disinfection, mask. Let's ensure frequent ventilation of rooms. Let's also take care of our safety by using the STOP COVID application on our phones. Remember to help the elderly who should stay at home. Let's be responsible - by taking care of ourselves, we also take care of others.
Every daily, even small, decision we make today is of great importance. The stakes of this fight are the health and lives of our loved ones. Our neighbours, friends, companions, family members. Finally – perhaps all of us.
We must overcome this epidemic. As a Nation, we have always been able to be brave and sacrificial.
United - we will win!

Trzaskowski:

Nearly 17,000 People Have Joined the Movement, and New Citizens Are Signing Up Constantly

- Nearly 17,000 people have joined the movement, and new citizens are signing up all the time, and we are starting to implement all these promises we're talking about, all these demands. We are already starting cooperation regarding the issue of Covid, we are doing this among local government officials, we are preparing to submit the assumptions for a bill regarding education, and we will also work on a trade union - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Polsat News.

Piecha:

We've Prepared with Ventilators, Hospital Beds, and Staff

"Nobody expected such a rapid surge in infections, an exponential increase in the first weeks of September, in October. Everyone worldwide was surprised. The French were surprised, the Germans were surprised, the Czechs, who managed the first wave excellently, are today asking Germany for support because they lack ventilators. I think we have prepared, because we have ventilators, because we are building reserve hospital bed capacity, because we are trying to solve staffing issues" - said Bolesław Piecha from Law and Justice in a conversation with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Sprawdzam".

Piecha:

The Constitutional Tribunal Could Not Rule Otherwise in Light of the Constitution

The Constitutional Tribunal ruled as it did, and in fact, in light of the constitution, it could not have ruled otherwise. We would probably require a redefinition of what is called a human being, when humanity begins and when it doesn't, or a different approach to the constitution” - said Bolesław Piecha of Law and Justice on TVN24.

Piecha:

I'm not particularly happy or triumphant about the Constitutional Tribunal's ruling, but I agree that the constitutional premises cannot be questioned. That's the constitution we have.

I am not particularly happy or triumphant that this specific eugenic premise has been completely abolished. There are many pregnancies where the fetus develops due to genetic, congenital reasons in such a way that it will certainly die. There are many pregnancies where children will be born brainless, with very serious complications, such as the absence of kidneys, for instance. Today we are able to define and diagnose this. I am not particularly happy about this ruling, but I agree that the constitutional premises cannot be questioned. That's the constitution we have,” said Bolesław Piecha from Law and Justice on TVN24.

Piecha:

I will strive with all my might for the abortion law team to be established and to reach a consensus, so as not to force mothers of sick children, still in the womb, into heroism

"I will strive with all my might for such a team [on abortion law] to be established and for us to be able to work out a certain consensus, so as not to force mothers of sick children, who are still in the womb, into heroism. We certainly do not want that. I have already spoken with several colleagues on this matter" - said Bolesław Piecha from the Law and Justice party on TVN24.

Trzaskowski:

This Government is Unbelievably Cynical. They Themselves Led People to the Streets During COVID. It's Unprecedented. They Are Trying to Cook Up Hell for Women
“This government is unbelievably cynical, they are doing this on purpose to cover up their lack of professionalism regarding COVID. They themselves led people to the streets during COVID. It is something unprecedented. They are trying to cook up hell for women, and they are doing it in such a cynical way to evoke emotions,” said the Mayor of the capital city of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.

Trzaskowski at the Protest: 'I'm Constantly Receiving Reports from My Envoys, and They Say It's Calm. I Appeal for Maintaining Distance and Looking After Yourselves, Because Times Are Tough'

"We are checking if it is safe, because yesterday we had a feeling and reports that force was misused. We checked it with our own eyes. We asked paramedics to be here," said the Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.

"It is calm for now. I am constantly receiving reports from my envoys, and they report that it is calm. I appeal for maintaining distance and looking after yourselves, because times are tough," he added.
