At 13:00, the Senate Legislative Committee will resume deliberations on the amendment to the Animal Protection Act, commonly known as the "Five for Animals" initiative. The Senate is scheduled to discuss the bill next Tuesday.
Between 8:30 and 16:00, the Sejm will host press conferences by the Civic Platform (PO) summarizing the work of individual ministries prior to the structural changes in ministries. The theme: How PiS Governs - A Ministry Audit.
Also today, the Ministry of Health is expected to announce the counties that will be designated as yellow and red zones starting Saturday. - There's no point in hiding it, but 99% likely Warsaw will be in the yellow zone starting Saturday, so I'm also warning all of you that after midnight from Friday to Saturday, masks will be mandatory in Warsaw, everything points to that. Ladies and gentlemen, the number of counties we announce tomorrow will definitely be over 100. We must reckon with this - said Wojciech Andrusiewicz yesterday during a press conference.

Compensation Introduced by PiS Amendment. We Will See How the Senate Responds to the Provisions
„Regarding the vacatio legis, it is certainly secured within the act. The discussion on this matter is ongoing. I was present during the Senate committee's work, listening to various arguments. We will see what happens during the senators' final report. This vacatio legis is secured. Compensation - introduced by an amendment filed by PiS - has been established. We will see how the Senate responds to the provisions” - said Minister Grzegorz Puda on Polskie Radio Jedynka.

Agriculture and Forestry in Poland is So Broad That This Small Group of Fur Farmers Cannot Dominate the Actions of the Entire Ministry or Government
„After all, agriculture does not consist solely of fur farmers. I understand that this industry is currently very active in protests. The topic of agriculture and forestry in Poland is so broad that this small group of people, fur farmers, cannot dominate the actions of the entire Ministry of Agriculture or the entire government. Farmers have lived in symbiosis with nature for centuries. It's not as if the entire agricultural community is dissatisfied” – said Minister Grzegorz Puda in an interview with Jedynka radio.

Many People Feel the Sanitary Inspectorate is Overwhelmed, Making Contact Increasingly Difficult
- In my circle, yes [everyone is healthy], but I have actually had some contact with people who were recently asked by the sanitary inspectorate to get tested, and I think that's an interesting story. It keeps repeating. Many people feel that the sanitary inspectorate is, at this moment, overwhelmed, that trying to contact the sanitary inspectorate is becoming increasingly difficult, and this is bad news, because it is a key institution, and its efficiency will determine how successful our fight against the virus will be – stated Adrian Zandberg in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

Zandberg:
What Confederation MPs are doing is clowning around

- We should welcome the fact that such a debate has begun, although I repeat, it is very late. We should also state with satisfaction that finally rational, common-sense arguments are able to resonate in this debate. This is because Poland's position from the very beginning of the construction of this pipeline has been unambiguous. This construction simply divides European countries - said Zbigniew Rau in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on "Sygnały dnia" on Jedynka radio.

Barley's Statements Undermine Not Only the Dignity of the EP but, Due to Her National Origin, Also the Dignity of the Current German Presidency
- I am convinced that Ms. Barley's statements, and I mean significantly so, undermine not only the dignity of the European Parliament, but due to her national origin, also the dignity of the current German presidency in the European Union - said Zbigniew Rau in a radio interview on Jedynka.

- I do not hide the fact that the issue of children is something I would like to address. Moreover, even though I have moved to the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, I still receive various requests. But the question of European identity might also be on the table – said Michał Wójcik in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski in Radio Plus's "The Core of the Matter".

- The 2021 budget we have proposed is a rational compromise between the capabilities and aspirations of Poland and Poles, facilitating their functioning and development in times of economic uncertainty and placing the security of our families at its core – wrote Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki on Facebook.

- As far as I know, Minister Ziobro felt unwell at the time and, out of a sense of responsibility, simply did not appear at the swearing-in. He is not feeling well at the moment, but it is probably a cold. He has also decided to undergo testing - said Michał Wójcik on Radio Plus.

We Don't See the Need to Isolate the Republic Today, At Present, as We Did in the Spring
„Our strategy will be flexible. I want to emphasize this, because another meeting of the RZZK took place today. The government meets daily in the RZZK format. We react on an ongoing basis to information coming to us from Europe and around the world. We do not see the need to isolate the Republic today, at the present moment, as we did in the spring, because the situation is not as different as it was in the spring” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

On Saturday, we will present further rules concerning the fight against Covid-19
„On Saturday, we will present further rules concerning the fight against Covid-19, here and now, a fight conducted in an organized manner, utilizing best practices derived from our experiences, as well as those of other countries. I am convinced that this will lead to a slowdown in the growth of coronavirus in Poland” - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

The Main Task for Autumn is an Escalation in the Number of Infections
- We see that the main task awaiting us in autumn is, indeed, an escalation. An escalation concerning the number of infections. As the Prime Minister said, today we have 4,280 infections, a third more than the previous day. Clearly, maintaining such a trend means an exponential increase in the number of infections, which we want to avoid – said Adam Niedzielski during a press conference.

- It's worth looking at a certain chart, when the virus was indeed in retreat across Europe and in Poland. Let's recall the situation from June. At that time, we were practically eliminating all significant restrictions, the economy was coming back to life. We were reopening various sectors of the economy, and practically everyone demanded it, and it was very justified. At the same time, as the Minister of Health said, the capacity of isolation facilities and hospitals was being reduced. We saw a decrease in the use of single-purpose hospitals. At the same time, please look at this chart, which very clearly shows that it was precisely at that time, when I mentioned that the situation was milder, that the situation was milder both in Poland and in all European countries. I think it's best to rely on facts, on numbers. At that time, the number of people recovering, the number of those who had recovered, exceeded the total number of people entering the system, i.e., infected individuals. So, we were dealing with the situation we described then, and in the summer, in line with the predictions of epidemiologists and virologists, the virus weakened, to put it mildly, and some even concluded that the problem of a second wave would not arrive. We warned against this second wave, but also, in line with what was happening across Europe, we reopened the economy in June, because we know perfectly well that closing the economy in March, April, and May translated into gigantic losses for everyone, for people who earn a living, for companies, for entrepreneurs who export their goods, who produce their goods, and therefore the balance between an appropriate approach to healthcare, to treating people, and to keeping the economy moving is constantly our basic priority. And I believe this chart says it all - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

On Saturday, we will communicate our decisions regarding schools in detail
- On Saturday, we will communicate our decisions regarding schools in the coming periods, weeks, in great detail. As of today, the mechanism implemented in August is working reasonably well, but the pandemic is indeed spreading, and therefore, these rules may need to be tightened. Today, over 98% of schools are functioning in a relatively normal way, but I also notice increasing student absenteeism there, as we receive these statistics as well. This means that we may need to make some restrictions again, but we will communicate about this in due course, present our knowledge and our decisions regarding this aspect of the matter, i.e., education, on Saturday - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

The Polish Government, as indicated by all international bodies, including the European Commission, is managing to stay at least one step ahead of the coronavirus
- It's not that we are at the limit of our capacity. Indeed, the Polish government, as indicated by all international bodies, including the European Commission, is managing to stay at least one step ahead of the coronavirus. If we consider, on the one hand, the effectiveness of the fight for the health and lives of Poles, and on the other hand, the effectiveness of the fight for the Polish economy, jobs, and the survival of Polish companies, then we are probably in 1st place in Europe – Jarosław Gowin said in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on the program 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News.
19:49
Gowin:
As Minister Responsible for the Economy, I Can Announce That Another Aid Tranche Will Soon Reach the Tourism Sector
- As minister responsible for the economy, I can announce that another aid tranche will soon reach the tourism sector. I don't want to go into details, as it ultimately depends on the parliament - said Jarosław Gowin on Polsat News.
19:53
- I want to assure all of you, and threaten some, that the enforcement of the law will be very ruthless. The police have been instructed and have committed to issuing fines of up to PLN 500. To all those who endanger the health of others, because I emphasize, a mask on my face does not protect me, it protects the editor if we were talking face-to-face or if we passed each other on the street, it protects others - Jarosław Gowin said on Polsat News.
19:58
- I can say unequivocally, although there is no such decision yet, but in my opinion, this decision is inevitable; this year, everyone will have to wear masks in cemeteries, regardless of whether a given county or municipality is relatively safe - said Jarosław Gowin on Polsat News.

As a doctor and a citizen, I urge us to treat the fight against the pandemic above divisions as a challenge facing each of us
- As a doctor and a citizen, I urge us to treat the problem of fighting the pandemic above divisions as a challenge facing each of us. There are certain significant elements to this progress. Whatever one may say, it is to Minister Szumowski's credit that in a difficult time of the pandemic, when the experiences of other countries were not as clear as ours are now, we were able to rise to the occasion - stated Marian Zembala in 'Gość Wiadomości' on TPV Info.
20:44
"Reprehensible [post], critical, inciting again. Well then, Mr. Donald, please be quiet and don't speak to us in that language. We want peace, quiet, and we want a supra-political consensus on how to fight the coronavirus. There is no politics here. This is a matter of our lives" - said PiS senator Stanisław Karczewski on TVP Info.
