At 9:00 AM, the parliamentary Committee on Justice and Human Rights will once again vote on the opinion regarding the candidacy of Zuzanna Rudzińska-Bluszcz for the position of Ombudsman.

At 11:00 AM, a press conference will be held in Katowice by PO leader Borys Budka.

At 3:00 PM, President Andrzej Duda, at the request of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, will make changes to the composition of the Council of Ministers. This will be the formal conclusion of this stage of the government reconstruction. According to announcements by PiS politicians, the final changes will be implemented after the amendment of the law on government departments.

"One could say that today will be the finalization of what we have been discussing. New ministers will be appointed, as this is not, of course, a new government. Chairman Jarosław Kaczyński will be appointed as Deputy Prime Minister. I believe this is a strengthening of this government," Krzysztof Sobolewski from PiS stated on Polskie Radio 24.  "We are already thinking at this moment about being able to contest for another mandate of trust from Poles in 2023 and 2027 for the implementation of the United Right's program," he added.

“The coalition agreement concludes the phase of talks, persuasion, and discussions about which direction the United Right should take. This phase has been concluded, firstly, by the signing of the agreement, and secondly, by indicating the direction in which the United Right, under PiS's leadership, should proceed. Just as we have successfully moved forward until now, as I always emphasize, we will continue on this path” - said Krzysztof Sobolewski from PiS on Polish Radio 24. 

First and foremost, let's remember that when Prime Minister Morawiecki uttered those words [about coronavirus], Poland had a very low rate of daily infections. In fact, at that time, the coronavirus was in retreat in Poland. Currently, however, we are sadly seeing a resurgence across Europe and around the world. So, at that time, we actually managed to limit the number of infections – stated Piotr Müller in an interview with Marcin Fijołek on Polsat News' "Graffiti". We always base our actions on facts. The facts at that time were that the number of people falling ill, the number of new infections, was much, much smaller. We then had a factual basis, supported by numbers, to say that the situation was better. This does not mean that coronavirus is not here. The Prime Minister never said that coronavirus is not here. At that time, the numbers showed that the fear should actually be less, and at that time, globally, not just in Poland, but also in Germany, France, and Spain, there were fewer restrictions. In many, many countries around the world, everyone believed that, to a large extent, we had succeeded in limiting it, at least partially – the government spokesperson continued.

- This is an absolutely unfounded statement [by Tomasz Siemoniak]. All the more so, was there a election campaign all over the world, or did the whole world once again adjust to Poland, to the election campaign in Poland? I don't know, Rafał Trzaskowski, who was also very active in the election campaign, took part in many large meetings – did he also think then that the coronavirus was present, and yet, despite everything, he held large meetings? No, everyone believed then that we had largely managed to fight the coronavirus, at least at that stage, while we predicted that there would be a second wave and we spoke about it, because the entire government was preparing for it. And here, Professor Czarnek will certainly be a barrier, and that is why he is so strongly attacked by these circles today. They know that it will be more difficult, that today, when Professor Czarnek is the minister, these attempts to impose ideology in this area will be much harder to realize. - The ministry was established to coordinate the actions of companies, so that they truly operate jointly in many areas. Indeed, such a meeting took place. I confirm this. We discussed the fact that especially during the crisis we are currently in, cooperation among State Treasury companies is necessary, and not just cooperation among companies themselves, but also support for private Polish businesses. Because today, if we want to return to the path of rapid economic growth, we must primarily care for the strength of these large companies, and in Polish conditions, these are state-owned companies, as they truly generate the most investment. Primarily, State Treasury companies should order services from each other, thereby truly providing outlets for their services and goods. But the second element is also to order these services and goods from Polish private entities. Orlen is an example model here, which has completely reversed the trend from the times of our predecessors, where suppliers were sought among foreign companies, abroad. Today, a vast majority of goods purchased by Orlen are from Polish companies. This has caused many Polish companies to grow during this time, build their power and size, and today they are already the driving forces - stated Jacek Sasin in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- There is no question here, of course, of any strict recommendations, because these are economic entities. Each of them pursues its own policy. It is the responsibility of the CEOs and supervisory boards. It is rather a certain appeal that we are directing here, indicating the expectations of the public owner, which is the State Treasury - the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

Of course, there will be and are cases where a hospital runs out of space, but our concern, and the concern of Minister Niedzielski, who convened this staff meeting both yesterday and today, is to ensure that the coordination for the patient is sufficiently secured so that the patient does not circulate between hospitals. Instead, a quick decision is made after diagnosis, identifying where there are available beds or ventilators, so that the patient is transported to a hospital with available space as quickly as possible - stated the spokesperson for the Ministry of Health, Wojciech Andrusiewicz, at a press briefing.

What we are preparing at the Ministry, the possible expansion of bed capacity, is proactive action.
