At 10:00 AM, the National Council of Civic Platform will convene.

At 12:00 PM, a joint statement will be issued by the leader of Law and Justice (PiS) Jarosław Kaczyński, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, leader of Accord Zbigniew Ziobro, and leader of Agreement Jarosław Gowin.

– We are ahead of the National Council. Yesterday, we elected a new parliamentary club leader. An autumn offensive – programmatic, organizational – so much will be happening – said Borys Budka in a conversation with Krzysztof Ziemiec on RMF FM.

- We are primarily ready for the possibility that elections will be held sooner. What we've witnessed suggests that we could face another crisis at any moment. Jarosław Kaczyński, who must join the government to keep an eye on Zbigniew Ziobro, as Prime Minister Morawiecki can't handle him, demonstrates that we have truly reached a ludicrous situation. On one hand, people are saying Ziobro is bad, and just a few days ago, he was being heavily criticized within the United Right camp. PiS politicians called Solidary Poland politicians incompetent, immature, and said they received positions beyond their merit, and now it turns out things are like in a good family. Yes, a mafia family, where positions are more important than actually changing anything - said Borys Budka on RMF FM.

- We are primarily focused on presenting good solutions for the future. However, I will not concern myself with Jarosław Kaczyński, because if he is to be a Deputy Prime Minister without any ministerial portfolio, then what will we hold him accountable for? Rest assured, this government will be held accountable either through a constructive no-confidence vote, as stipulated by the constitution, at the appropriate time, or it will simply resign - said Borys Budka on RMF FM.

- We will have a debate that will expose all the evil Ziobro has inflicted on the prosecution, the KRS, and the judiciary. We will show all these unexplained scandals, precisely because the political prosecution is not taking appropriate action - said Borys Budka on RMF FM. 

- First, to take power, you need a majority in the Sejm, so I don't know where all these expert opinions that it was possible come from. Excuse me, we still have the United Right coalition all the time. Second, does anyone imagine that one can be such a cynic to attack Ziobro on the one hand, but then say: let's form a common government against Kaczyński. No. We are not hypocrites, unlike this government. I would never sign a motion for a constructive no-confidence vote that would require Zbigniew Ziobro to be on our side - Borys Budka said on RMF FM.

- We will not be trapped again, allowing Kaczyński to use our votes to play his camp. He didn't trap us in the previous vote, and decisions will be made calmly now, if there is a presidential decision. We are helping animals, not Kaczyński, and that's where we differ. Jarosław Kaczyński has suddenly developed a love for animals because he needed it for the power struggles within his camp - said Borys Budka on RMF FM.

- There's no need to rush. This is an element that will be a movement uniting or gathering people who don't want to enter politics, because that's what political parties are for, when someone wants to get politically involved - Borys Budka said on RMF FM.

- Calmly, Rafał Trzaskowski has a defined concept, but he knows perfectly well that timing is also important in politics. As the mayor of Warsaw, he has duties, he has specific tasks, and he also said immediately that for him the most important thing is to perform the duties entrusted to him by the residents of Warsaw well - he added.

„In recent days and weeks, we've seen our beautiful country crumble. We see immense chaos, a great economic and pandemic crisis, but also a governmental crisis. Poles do not feel safe. They see this chaos. They fear for their health, for job losses, for whether their companies will survive the difficult times of the economic crisis. This great fear is also amplified by the fact that the state is chaotic” - said Civic Platform leader Borys Budka during the party's National Council meeting.

"The government is preoccupied with itself while simultaneously sending contradictory messages. One moment they close forests, the next they say you can go there. One moment they say masks are unnecessary, and then, when it's time to strike a deal with colleagues, they mandate wearing masks. They declare the end of the pandemic when it's needed for electoral processes, while the indicators say something completely different. Such a state does not function efficiently. Citizens will not find refuge in a house of cards. Citizens want a strong state built on real, solid foundations, such as security and trust" – said the Chairman of Civic Platform's National Council, Borys Budka.

The Ministry of Health has reported 1584 new cases of coronavirus infection in Poland. Sadly, 32 individuals have passed away as a result of the virus.

“Independent institutions are needed. They must serve citizens. Once again, I declare: we will separate the functions of the Minister of Justice and the Prosecutor General. Today, we all see that instead of dealing with crimes, instead of prosecuting those who break the law, the prosecution service is mainly used for political games. I don't just mean games with the opposition or disobedient citizens, but also, as the last few days have shown, for internal power struggles within the ruling camp. An independent Prosecutor General, separated from the political function of the Minister of Justice, is a guarantee of an efficient state and the absence of political impunity. We will achieve this,” said Civic Platform (PO) leader Borys Budka during the party’s National Council meeting.

„Relations with citizens must be based on trust. We must abandon the mindset of viewing citizens, hard-working people, and entrepreneurs as criminals. The repressive state apparatus, particularly the tax office, which today hunts honest people, should be transformed into taxpayer support centers, and state-citizen relations should be founded on trust. We will change the philosophy of the state. The state will not pursue honest citizens; it will help these citizens” – said Borys Budka, the chairman, during the National Council of Civic Platform (PO).

"There are no enemies on the opposition side. On the opposition side, there are only friends. - We are all thinking back to the recent elections. It was amazing. We managed to mobilize so many people. We managed to convince over 10 million Poles, and we did it together. We here as Civic Platform, as Civic Coalition, but also as the entire opposition, and most importantly, this campaign showed that we can also awaken incredible citizen energy. That's precisely what we need today - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the National Council of Civic Platform meeting.

- We will be ready for this [to win the next election], we just need to stop dwelling on ourselves and simply move forward, think about the future. And I know and am convinced that we will do it together. Because we've simply had enough of dwelling on ourselves - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the Civic Platform National Council meeting.

- We need to get out of the penalty area. The arguing over positions must end. And we must show that we are ready, because we absolutely are ready. It's time to move forward and it's time to win the next elections. - And most importantly – let's show that we are a team. Because, just like in football, just like in any sport, in politics, one or two players, even the best ones, are not enough. A team is needed to win elections, and this team must be as broad as possible. This, of course, requires change and hard work. We must change our style. It's not enough to just think about a slogan or a logo. We need to open up, change our philosophy. And we must show that if anyone can, it is Platforma (Civic Platform) that has always been able to combine energy with experience. That is the most important thing today, that we show that no one has as much energy, but also that no one has as much experience as we do – stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the meeting of the National Council of PO.

- The most important word for all of us is synergy. Because we must act together. Because we won't win these elections if we don't cooperate. And everyone here is ready for this cooperation so that we can win in 3 years, so that we can prepare a good program, so that above all, we can look to the future - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the session of the Civic Platform's National Council.

- The end of total opposition. We need to have concrete proposals. We need to talk about the truth, about what threatens Poland today, about what the consequences will be. About what deficit we face. But the human being is the most important. Above all, we must focus on how to help citizens - stated Rafał Trzaskowski during the meeting of the National Council of PO.

„Time has shown, and time does not err, that the past 5 years have been good years for Poland, which is why we have the right to conclude that the coming years, both the next 3 and – I trust – subsequent ones, will also be a good time, but only then and only if we cooperate harmoniously, respecting the decisions of Poles who voted for the United Right, mutually respecting our own agency and the shared goals we have set for ourselves. I believe that this good cooperation is the promise we can reiterate once more, and its confirmation is the concluded agreement and signed accord” – said the chairman of Solidarna Polska and Minister Zbigniew Ziobro. 

“We have joyful news. We are very happy. An agreement has been reached. It will be signed shortly. I am deeply convinced that today will be a good mark in our history, because we have 3 years until the next parliamentary elections, and I am absolutely certain that these will be years well spent for Poland. Circumstances may vary, as we know what the world is like today, what the situation is, but with absolute certainty, everything that can be done to strengthen our community and improve the fate of every citizen will be done. Our agreement is a guarantee of this. Once again, I wanted to thank our colleagues, I wanted to say that I am very happy and I believe in what I have just said. A good future lies before us” - said the leader of Law and Justice, Jarosław Kaczyński.

- I am very, very pleased that our full unity and stability, which are so necessary today, have been confirmed. This agreement, which has been reached, is also a confirmation of our commitments to millions of voters and, in essence, an agreement with our voters regarding the implementation of our program for the next 3 years. - Of course, we will announce all changes in due course. As we know, the media has already reported on this, politicians have spoken about it. Chairman Kaczyński may take on the position of Deputy Prime Minister, who will be responsible for a very important area, the area of internal affairs, national security, defense, and justice. And I can repeat after Prime Minister Sasin that it is highly probable that Chairman Kaczyński will take charge of this area, heading the Standing Committee of the Council of Ministers, which will manage this area - stated Michał Dworczyk on "Gość Wydarzeń" on Polsat News.

At its Monday session, the government will consider the draft budget act for 2021, as well as, among other items, the strategy for managing public finance sector debt in 2021-2024, the three-year plan for the limit of civil service appointments for 2021-2023, and the so-called budget-related bill, or the draft regulation on air traffic restrictions.
