- This was Marshal Grodzki's request for a meeting. It was to concern other legislative matters, but in this situation, the President will also ask Marshal Grodzki how he intends to proceed with this bill [„Five for Animals”]. We are at the beginning of the second stage of processing this bill, and the President will make his decision after the matter concludes in parliament - said the presidential minister on PR3.

Szymon Hołownia is visiting Silesia this week to meet with movement volunteers, leaders, and residents. A meeting in Katowice will take place at 3:30 PM, and in Tarnowskie Góry - at 6:00 PM.

Also today, a hearing will be held before the Grand Chamber of the Court of Justice of the European Union, concerning preliminary questions from the Supreme Court regarding the Disciplinary Chamber and the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs of the Supreme Court, and the individuals appointed to them with the involvement of the so-called new National Council of the Judiciary (KRS).

“This week, we can expect decisions regarding the functioning and composition of the government. I am referring to the coalition partners at this moment. I hope this will be by Friday, and realistically, in the coming days, Wednesday-Thursday, but let's give ourselves until the end of the working week. I would not want to comment on whether such a meeting [Kaczyński-Ziobro] is taking place, as it is an internal coalition matter. I am not authorized to speak about the details of yesterday's meeting, so let's allow a little more time for the appropriate information to be communicated,” said government spokesperson Piotr Müller on Radio Jedynka.

- Regarding Porozumienie, yes, it was indeed the vote on animal protection. Nothing is entirely clear yet, although it is looking much brighter, if I were to assess it at this moment, cooperation with Porozumienie. As for Solidarna Polska, the road is bumpy - said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM's "Morning Interview".

But let's recall, today the Minister of Justice is Zbigniew Ziobro, and that is the current state of affairs - stated Przemysław Czarnek in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Trójka Political Salon".

- For almost a year, I have been a PiS MP actively engaged in reforming the Polish justice system. I represented the Sejm before the Constitutional Tribunal in the case concerning the absurd resolution of the Supreme Court from January, which introduced chaos into the justice system. I was one of several co-authors of the bill based on which we elected the president on June 28th this year. The animal protection act is a prime example. It was undertaken ad hoc, traditionally rushing through the Sejm with lightning speed, allowing no moment for reflection or reconsideration, and now the Senate must once again play the role of a serious state institution that will deal with it carefully and thoroughly - said Tomasz Grodzki after a meeting with the President.

The President holds the position that while the fur industry can be phased out, the welfare and humane treatment of animals is an absolute civilizational requirement. I completely agree with this; it is also important to remember the people who have invested in these businesses, who have loans, so yes, we can phase it out, but there are examples from other countries that show we can phase it out in a civilized manner, by granting time for these farms to wind down, through certain compensations - he continued.

Examples from other countries indicate that a period of three years is a suitable timeframe for phasing out these farms - added the Marshal of the Senate.

- What the senators will ultimately decide and what amendments will be submitted, this will happen not the day after tomorrow, meaning not after tomorrow's, as I presume, long consultations with the public, but there will also be committee meetings among the senators themselves, and I will likely decide to convene an additional Senate session on this matter - said Tomasz Grodzki after a meeting with the President.

- A special session, dedicated to this bill, will probably be held on October 9th, and I will, of course, make the final decision in consultation with the Convention of Seniors - he added.

- The civil servants' impunity act is bizarre; it's strange that the Polish parliament even considered a law straight out of political fiction like 'House of Cards' or 'The Sopranos'. Such a law should never have reached parliament - said Tomasz Grodzki after a meeting with the president.

- I would be against it, because Zbigniew Ziobro actually opposed the bill on the impunity of officials being put to a vote, meaning that the law does not apply to everyone. Then a bad signal would be sent, that there is a vote of no confidence against someone who put a dam on the impunity bill, and a false impression would arise that Ziobro is bad, and the rest of the government is good – said Tomasz Grodzki after a meeting with the President.

We want to recall all those scandals that to this day have not found a conclusion in court simply because the prosecution service is extremely politicized, and precisely for this reason, to demonstrate the exceptional cynicism and duplicity of the ruling camp, and to show that what truly matters is not the good of the justice system, but that Kaczyński is solely concerned with increasing his influence while simultaneously humiliating his coalition colleagues, we have decided to 'call their bluff' and prepare the motion to dismiss Zbigniew Ziobro – continued the head of PO.
