Czarnek:

The Military Cannot Be Expected to Fix Repeated Failures While the President Claims Remote Management is Possible. Warsaw is Poland's Wealthiest Municipality
"It is difficult to find prudence in what Rafał Trzaskowski is doing. It is not the case that Warsaw's money is the money of all of Poland, and the military's money is the money of all of Poland. Repairing the sewage treatment plant is the responsibility of the Warsaw local government, one of the wealthiest municipalities in Poland, if not the wealthiest. The city is obligated to rectify this disaster, and the military will assist and step in where the city falters, and cooperation is occurring. This is a significant ecological catastrophe; we thank all services, and based on the principle of subsidiarity, the aim is to jointly halt this catastrophe. It cannot be that the military will be fixing successive failures, the third and fourth, while President Trzaskowski claims the city can be managed remotely," said Przemysław Czarnek at Woronicza 17.

President Trzaskowski is in the same situation as a year ago, and we again have the Vistula River contamination. What actions have been taken this year? The public awaits detailed explanations
- The passage of time since the previous failure is concerning, and this needs to be explained. Wastewater discharge is the city's responsibility, and the President is in the same situation as a year ago, and we again have the Vistula River contamination. How effectively is the Warsaw local government functioning in this basic area, and what actions have been taken? It is natural for the army to help in an extraordinary situation; state support is natural, but it is another matter to question the extent to which President Trzaskowski is fulfilling his duties. What analyses were conducted and what actions were taken after the previous failure? Warsaw is a wealthy city, and if these tasks are being carried out in the smallest municipalities, then we can expect that in Poland's largest metropolis, people are taking their responsibilities seriously. We must cooperate, but it's not the entire political class; the Mayor of Warsaw has his duties and must carry them out, and the public awaits detailed explanations  - said Paweł Mucha on Woronicza 17.

Czarnek:

Warsaw Region Received 311 Million PLN in Early September, and the City of Warsaw 93.5 Million PLN from Government-Created Local Investment Funds, Ensuring Funds for Their Operations
- The Warsaw Region received 311 million PLN in early September, and the city of Warsaw 93.5 million PLN from the Local Investment Funds created by the government, and it has money for its operations - stated Przemysław Czarnek at Woronicza 17.

Bejda:

Hołownia's Social Movement is Veering Sharply Left and Will Compete with the Left. The Electoral System Needs Changing, and Anyone Wanting to Switch Party Allegiances Should Resign Their Mandate
- I am surprised that Mr. Hołownia surrounds himself with people of such left-wing convictions, and one can conclude that Hołownia's social movement is veering sharply left and will compete with the left - said Paweł Bejda from PSL in Woronicza 17. - The electoral system needs changing, and anyone wanting to switch party allegiances should resign their mandate - Bejda added.

Joński:

A serious debate awaits us on Tuesday after a long break; the club meeting is scheduled. If there's anything to improve, these matters, including personnel issues, should be handled internally.
"A serious debate awaits us on Tuesday after a long break; the club meeting is scheduled. If there's anything to improve, these matters, including personnel issues, should be handled internally. There's a lot of noise outside, but when it comes down to it, there's a calm conversation inside," Dariusz Joński said in Woronicza 17.

Czarnek:

I Value Ms. Gil-Piątek for Her Political Debate Culture, Though We Represent Entirely Different Viewpoints
- I value Ms. Gil-Piątek for her political debate culture, though we represent entirely different viewpoints - stated Przemysław Czarnek on Woronicza 17.

Bejda on Kaczyński's Words in Sieci Interview: "I Spoke with WKK and There Were No Talks. For Me, These Are Fake News Intended as a Scare Tactic for Mr. Gowin and Ziobro."
"I spoke with WKK and there were no talks. For me, these are fake news intended as a scare tactic for Mr. Gowin and Ziobro, who are negotiating government posts, and that's why Chairman Kaczyński is using the PSL as a scarecrow," said Paweł Bejda on Woronicza 17. "We talked with Mr. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, and he is indeed a bit different than some PSL politicians we've happened to speak with over the last 30 years, but generally speaking, he is a man who clearly seems to stand on the other side," said PiS chairman Jarosław Kaczyński in Monday's Sieci publication.

PM:

Our predecessors spoke of a polarization-diffusion model. Poland A vs. Poland B used to be easily identifiable by cars with rapidly wearing shock absorbers.
- It is clearly visible how much local investments matter. How bringing roads to major arteries creates new investment opportunities. In all of Greater Poland, over the past few years, this will amount to a billion zloty in subsidies for local roads. Such roads sometimes haven't seen repairs since the first time asphalt was laid on them - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the opening of a road investment in Kobyla Góra in Greater Poland. - Our predecessors spoke of a polarization-diffusion model. Poland A versus Poland B used to be very easy to recognize by cars with rapidly wearing shock absorbers. Now, as we drive on this road, you can see that we no longer need to have complexes. In total, we are implementing half a thousand road projects. Ask, dear residents of Greater Poland, how many of these projects were implemented before. These are numbers five, six, seven times exceeding what was before - the Prime Minister said. - These new roads open up opportunities for faster, fairer, and more sustainable development - the Prime Minister added.

Czarnek:

I Warn Against an Ideological Approach, as We Need Leather Products, but the Focus is on Humanizing Animal Treatment, Because We Know There Are Fundamental Problems in Some Industries Like Mink and Fox Farming
- Nobody in rural areas or among farmers has any doubts that animal welfare and our approach to animals must be very good. There are regulations concerning not only the ban on fur farming, and I am convinced that agricultural organizations will consult on this project. I warn, on the one hand, against an ideological approach, because we need leather products, but it is about humanizing animal treatment, because we know that in some industries, like mink and fox farming, there are fundamental problems with this – said Przemysław Czarnek in Woronicza 17. - There is an autumn program offensive and this project needs to be developed, and this project is heading towards better treatment of animals, and there is no reason for the Polish countryside to feel threatened by this project. There is nothing leftist about ecology; care for the environment and animals comes from the teachings of St. Francis, and the Church also appeals for this. There is no bowing to the left or left-wing eco-terrorism here – Czarnek added.

Suski:

It's a Humanitarian Stance, We've Always Cared About the Well-being of People and Animals. The Left Ruled for Many Years After '89 and Expanded Certain Rights, and We are Once Again Changing the Law for Animal Protection.
- This is a humanitarian stance; we have always cared about the well-being of people as well as animals. The Left ruled for many years after '89 and expanded certain rights, and I remember we argued about it when we restricted, for example, matters concerning alcohol at hunts, and we are once again changing the law for animal protection - said Marek Suski in an interview on Polsat News's "Śniadanie".

Spychalski:

The Constitution Requires Us to Improve Animal Welfare. A PO Councillor from Gniezno County, I'm not sure if current or former, seems to be one of the largest fur farmers.
- There is support from many political circles for this project. Caring for the environment and animal welfare is required not only by our current situation, but the Constitution also requires us to improve animal welfare. A PO councillor from Gniezno county, I'm not sure if current or former, seems to be one of the largest fur farmers - said Błażej Spychalski on Polsat News Breakfast.

Sawicki:

If Sachajko Suggests a Coalition with PiS, They Have Full Autonomy Within the Polish Coalition. I Deny Rumors of WKK Talks with PMM. I Emphasize That Neither PSL is Close to PiS Nor is PiS on the Same Path as PSL.
- If Jarosław Sachajko suggests that they should enter into a coalition with PiS, then they have full autonomy within the Polish Coalition. With every reconstruction, these conversations are long and irritate public opinion. Within the Polish Coalition, each entity has its own autonomy, and it is the decision of Kukiz 15 what to do with that subjectivity. I deny rumors of WKK talks with PMM. I emphasize that neither PSL is close to PiS nor is PiS on the same path as PSL - said Marek Sawicki in the "Śniadanie Polsat News" program.

11:22

Suski:

The Polish Coalition is a temporary lifeboat. We are not stubborn, and if someone wants to implement our program, we are open; crossings happen in the Sejm.
- The Polish Coalition is a temporary lifeboat that saved Kukiz and PSL activists, because otherwise they wouldn't have crossed the threshold. A nice name, but there's nothing behind it. It's such a transient creation that they will fall apart anyway. We are not stubborn, and if someone wants to implement our program, we are open; crossings happen in the Sejm - said Marek Suski during the Polsat News breakfast program.

11:29

Spychalski:

We Need a New Opening, Government Changes Aim to Accelerate Decision-Making. It Would Be Very Good If the Government Were Supported by an Even Larger Number of MPs.
- I remind you that the Civic Platform lost the parliamentary elections a year ago, and President Duda won the presidential elections a few weeks ago, so Poles support what has been happening since 2015, and the right-wing can govern independently. We need a new opening; government changes are heading in this direction of accelerating decision-making. It would be very good if the government were supported by an even larger number of MPs - said Błażej Spychalski on Polsat News Breakfast.

11:35

Dziambor:

I've Heard Marek Jurek's Name, We Will Discuss It. The Current Ombudsman is Pursuing a Decidedly Left-Wing Agenda, He is the Silent Hero of the Centre-Left Opposition
- The PO-PiS majority will elect the Ombudsman, I would suggest advocate Jacek Wilk, but the majority would not agree to this candidacy. It will be difficult to find a candidate on whom both PO and PiS will agree. I've heard Marek Jurek's name, we will discuss it. The current Ombudsman is pursuing a decidedly left-wing agenda, and that does not suit us; he is the silent hero of the centre-left opposition - Artur Dziambor stated in an interview on Polsat News's "Śniadanie" (Breakfast).

11:37

Suski:

The Procedure is Underway, the Ombudsman Will Be Someone with Broad Support and Great Authority
- The procedure is underway; the Ombudsman will be a person who has broad support and great authority - Marek Suski said on Polsat News Breakfast.

Political Week Ahead: PM's Meeting with Opposition, Sejm Returns After Recess, Talks within United Right and Civic Coalition, EP on Rule of Law in Poland

The coming days in politics will be dominated by a two-day Sejm session – work on the amendment to this year's budget, projects concerning the Medical Fund and the one abolishing officials' liability for actions during the epidemic, and likely a bill on animal protection – as well as another meeting between Prime Minister Morawiecki and the opposition, and further discussions within the United Right and the largest opposition party.

PM's Meeting with Opposition. On Monday at 10:00 AM, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will meet with representatives of parliamentary groupings regarding the situation in Belarus. - I would like to announce an invitation to the opposition for next week, in order to discuss Belarus again in the current state of affairs. I am pleased that this conversation with the opposition was constructive, that the representatives of the opposition, in a vast majority, agreed with our actions and supported them. I believe it is bringing results, both in the European Parliament and on the international stage - said PMM on Polish Radio.

EP Debate on Rule of Law in Poland. The European Parliament will hold a vote on a critical report by Spanish MEP Lopez Aguilar on the state of the rule of law in Poland. The debate is scheduled for Monday at 5:30 PM.

Presentation of Credentials by the New German Ambassador. On Tuesday, President Andrzej Duda will receive the letters of credence from the new German Ambassador to Poland, Arndt Freytag von Loringhoven. Furthermore, as informed by the Chancellery of the President, the President will also receive credentials from the new Ambassador of Great Britain on this day, among others.

Talks within the United Right. At the beginning of next week, most likely on Tuesday, another round of talks between the leaders of the United Right will take place regarding the upcoming government reconstruction, as well as a new coalition agreement and programmatic proposals for the beginning of the autumn political season.

Civic Platform Board and Civic Coalition Parliamentary Club Meeting. On Tuesday, a meeting of the national board of Civic Platform will be held, as well as a meeting of the parliamentary club of the Civic Coalition. One of the topics is expected to be changes in the functioning of the club, as well as the issue of electing a new club leader – although it is unclear whether a vote will take place at this meeting.

Sejm on Budget Amendment. The first post-recess session of the Sejm will begin on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. The agenda includes, among other things, a draft amendment to this year's budget, further work on the Law and Justice (PiS) project abolishing officials' liability for actions during the epidemic, and the appointment of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications. The debates – according to the current schedule – will conclude on Thursday.

Sejm on Animal Protection Bill. It is possible that the Sejm will consider the animal protection bill at the aforementioned session – this is indicated by announcements from PiS representatives, as well as the swift submission of the proposal to the Sejm. The project includes, among other things, provisions on the ban of fur farming, restrictions related to ritual slaughter, and the assistance of officers during interventions by non-governmental organizations.

Sejm on the Medical Fund. On Tuesday morning, a Sejm subcommittee will continue its work on the presidential bill on the Medical Fund – so that it can be considered by the Sejm Health Committee in the evening. The President's proposal will most likely be adopted at the upcoming session – the second reading is already scheduled, as well as a meeting of the Sejm committee regarding amendments submitted during the second reading.
