At 11:00 AM, a Cabinet Council meeting will be held at the Presidential Palace concerning the coronavirus epidemic situation, including strategies to combat the pandemic's effects and minimize its negative impact on the economy and citizens' lives. Following the council meeting, around 2:15 PM, an address by President Andrzej Duda is expected.

Szymon Hołownia continues his tour of Poland as part of the activities of the Poland 2050 association. This week, he is visiting the Pomeranian Voivodeship. - I would like us to look at the autumn wave problem somewhat through the eyes of a patient. First and foremost, neither we ourselves, nor even a doctor without an examination, without a test, can determine whether we have COVID, whether we have another respiratory infection, or whether it is the flu, so we are left with a question mark. How we tried to deal with this question mark in previous seasons was by going to our family doctor. We want the same to happen this year - stated Adam Niedzielski in a conversation with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

- We start with a tele-consultation, meaning by calling, arranging a conversation, so that the doctor, without the need for contact, thus reducing the risk of transmission, can tell us whether we should stay home, or if it is something that can be identified immediately, perhaps already start treatment, but generally we start with a tele-consultation - the Minister of Health continued.

- We need to wait and observe ourselves at home, perhaps while on sick leave, maybe taking some strengthening medication. We wait, we observe ourselves for 3 to 5 days. If these symptoms persist, a follow-up visit is necessary, and then a direct, physical examination is required - he emphasized.

- I think that preventively we should stay at home and not be reckless, treat it as sick leave with an isolation regime, and still try to avoid contact, because the risk of coronavirus always hangs over us - stated Adam Niedzielski in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM, referring to preventive isolation before a doctor's visit.

Of the 18 districts, we now have only 10 in both zones, which shows that it is working. If we introduce these restrictions, the residents of these districts comply, and new infections in these districts are decreasing. In the red category, we currently have three districts: in the Małopolskie Voivodeship, Nowy Sącz and Limanowski districts, which moved from the yellow category to the red category, and in the Łódzkie Voivodeship, Pajęczno district – said Waldemar Kraska during a press conference. Regarding districts in the yellow category. Podkarpacie has the Przeworski district, which is a new district that moved from the green category. In the Łódzkie Voivodeship, Łowicz district, which dropped from the red category. Mazowieckie Voivodeship, Lipski district, also from the red category, is currently in yellow. „I believe that the [abortion] case in the Constitutional Tribunal should be resolved because the time has come. The matter has matured to the point where it can be decided. These issues are indeed being very intensively developed by the ministry, and also within the framework of discussions we are currently holding in the United Right camp, the future of judicial reform will be decided” - said Deputy Minister Sebastian Kaleta in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- I am pleased that a consistent and wise system [regarding yellow and red zones] has been introduced. The Prime Minister will appoint Artur Soboń on Saturday as the government plenipotentiary for the transformation of energy and hard coal mining companies, so that he can begin his work as early as Monday – 300POLITYKA has learned from sources within the Chancellery of the Prime Minister (KPRM). Media had reported that Artur Soboń, Secretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets, would be responsible for the restructuring of the mining industry. However, the scope of responsibility assigned to him is expected to be significantly broader, also encompassing the transformation of energy companies, including renewables and, in the longer term, hydrogen investments – as we hear. Soboń joined the government in 2018 as the Deputy Minister of Investment and Development. He later worked at the Ministry of Funds and Regional Policy, where he oversaw the process of transferring ownership following the liquidation of perpetual usufruct. Since the end of 2019, he has served as Secretary of State at the Ministry of State Assets.

Throughout the entire period of the coronavirus pandemic, not a single child in our country has died. "Regarding the nature of the epidemic, as conveyed by the Minister of Health and the Chief Sanitary Inspector, it has had a focal nature in our country for some time now. It appears primarily in two places – workplaces and weddings. A great many people are getting infected as a result of attending weddings. - Ladies and gentlemen, I urge you to continue bearing this responsibility that you have carried on the front lines fighting this phenomenon since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. Let us not be afraid; we must do it more boldly. We are now at a phase where we know more, we are better prepared. - Last year, the vaccination rate of our population was approximately 4%. I don't think this means that the rest belong to the anti-vaccine movement. I think that here, the anti-vaccine movement is rather a fringe. We still have significant room to convince our citizens to get vaccinated - said Adam Niedzielski on Polsat News.

- It looks like this defeat in the fight against the pandemic doesn't have many fathers, and that this Cabinet Council serves the purpose of the president pointing fingers at the government. I don't know who the government will point fingers at next, maybe at local governments or at citizens who don't behave as they should. The opposition was ready to cooperate throughout. I myself was at the Chancellery of the Prime Minister three times, in March for meetings. Then, under pressure to organize the elections on May 10, these meetings were abandoned and there was no discussion with the opposition at all.
