Piontkowski:
Out of Nearly 50,000 Public Schools and Kindergartens in Poland, Only a Tiny Fraction Did Not Resume Normal, Traditional Learning
- First and foremost, it must be said that schools have returned to a normal, traditional, in-person mode of learning. Out of nearly 50,000 public schools and kindergartens operating in Poland, run by local governments and non-governmental entities, only a tiny fraction, a sliver of a percent, 1/10th of a percent from what I recall, are schools that did not begin learning normally, in the traditional way. In all other cases, students returned to traditional classes and met with their teachers - stated Dariusz Piontkowski on TVP1's "Political Fifteen Minutes".
- It turned out that, just like in other European countries, it was possible to return to traditional classes normally - the head of the Ministry of National Education continued.

„All voices, in a sense, all candidacies that are so eager, at least some of them, trying to force these elections on Borys Budka, are at the outset forfeiting their chance for at least my vote. We need to build a system of cooperation, not an alternative power center” - said Sławomir Nitras from Civic Coalition (KO) in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on TOK FM Radio's Morning Show.

„It's not just you who sees this [the ambitions of the 'Schetyna faction' to get back into the game and take the head of the Civic Coalition parliamentary club]. Grzegorz Schetyna is a very ambitious man, but it seems to me that Grzegorz Schetyna has already had his chance, and now it's time for him to honestly support Borys Budka” – said Sławomir Nitras from Civic Coalition in an interview with Karolina Lewicka on Radio TOK FM's Morning program.

„Rafał Trzaskowski clearly stated that the inauguration would take place when he resolves the immediate Czajka problem, when sewage stops flowing into the Vistula, as that is currently occupying him to a much greater extent than anything else. It seems this should be concluded according to President Trzaskowski’s declarations no later than within a month. I would expect it not to be delayed longer than a month” - Sławomir Nitras from Civic Coalition said on TOK FM.

- It wasn't my decision. Mrs. Andruszkiewicz took a position at the Industrial Development Agency. That's an institution not under my purview, so this question is not for me. I can't answer it - Jacek Sasin stated on RMF FM.

Sasin:
I am absolutely against nepotism. I am trying here at MAP to ensure such situations do not occur. It doesn't always succeed because not all decisions are made here in the ministry.
- I am absolutely against nepotism. I will tell you, I am trying here at the Ministry of State Assets to ensure that such situations do not occur. It doesn't always succeed, because not all decisions are made here in the ministry - Jacek Sasin said on RMF FM.

- One of the recent decisions, concerning a family member of a Member of Parliament, which was made, so to speak, without the ministry's knowledge, will be corrected. This decision will be corrected, I can declare. I will ensure that such situations do not occur. However, if there are situations like with Mr. Duda, which would be truly unfair if we looked at him solely through the prism of him being the president's uncle, then I would also appeal to you, Mr. Editor, and to everyone who speaks on this matter, to look at it a bit more objectively - said Jacek Sasin on RMF FM.
- I am trying to look at it objectively. Since you have returned to this topic, I will ask if this person you are talking about, the decision which will be corrected, is Nikodem Matusiak, the son of PiS MP Grzegorz Matusiak? Did Mr. Nikodem Matusiak indeed become a president [director] in one of the KGHM companies? - Mazurek asked.
- Yes, the media reported on it. I want to state clearly that this was not a decision that was made here in the ministry in any way - replied the Deputy Prime Minister.

School Principals Receive Support Not Only from the Ministry but Also from Local State Representatives, Curatoria, and Sanitary Inspectorates
„As every year, many millions of students return to school. Please remember that we are talking about enormous numbers. In primary and post-primary schools, there are a total of over 4.5 million children and teenagers learning. Additionally, there are nearly 1.5 million children who have enrolled in kindergartens. This also includes schools for adults and vocational schools. In total, this amounts to around 6 million people and tens of thousands of institutions,” said Minister Dariusz Piontkowski at a press conference.
„Principals have support not only from the ministry but also from local institutions representing the state, curatoria, and sanitary inspectorates,” he added.

Piontkowski:
We Have Signals from Principals That There Are Plenty of Disinfectant Liquids. Enough for Many Weeks, Even Many Months.
- We talked about an additional several million liters of disinfectant liquids being delivered to schools free of charge; it was enough for institutions to report such demand to the Ministry of Health, and from what we know, most institutions have done so. We have signals from principals that there are plenty of these liquids. Enough for many weeks, and even for many months – said Dariusz Piontkowski during a press conference.

I Spoke with the Children's Ombudsman. He Told Me That He Only Said That, According to His Information, Some Organizations and Educators Are Trying to Use Pharmaceutical Means. We Checked Through Supervisors. We Had No Signals of Such Actions.
- Regarding the Children's Ombudsman, I also spoke with him. I have ongoing contact, we exchange information. From what the ombudsman conveyed to me, he wasn't talking about hearing about this type of activity in schools [educators administering pharmaceutical means]. He only said that according to his information, some organizations and educators are trying to use these types of means. As far as I know, he will probably pass the information to the prosecutor's office and the police, and an investigation will commence, but that is already on the ombudsman's side. We checked through the supervisors. We had no signals, of such actions - Dariusz Piontkowski said during a press conference.

Morawiecki:
'Solidarity' is More Than a Slogan or a Union; It's Poland's Second Name
„Solidarność’ is more than just a slogan, more than just a trade union. For me, ‘Solidarność’ is Poland’s second name. For me, ‘Solidarność’ is a phenomenon that transcends Poland’s borders. It is not just a social movement that will forever be described in the history of our state as a great national-social movement for independence, which aimed to fight for a dignified life for every person in Poland and beyond” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during an extraordinary session of the Silesian-Dąbrowa Region of NSZZ „Solidarność”.

„A meeting of the leaders of United Right is currently underway at Nowogrodzka Street, the heads of the three parties that form United Right and Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. This is the first in a series of meetings that will take place in the coming weeks, the aim of which is to establish plans for the government's reconstruction, changes within the government, but above all, a plan for governing in the coming months” - said PiS MEP Adam Bielan in an interview with Monika Olejnik on "Kropka nad i" on TVN24.

Bielan:
Gowin Must First Decide He Wants to Return to Government. I Assume He Will Want To.
„Jarosław Gowin made the decision himself to leave the government at the outset of the United Right's dispute over the election date. He must first decide for himself that he wants to return to government. I assume he will want to return to government. Negotiations within the United Right must conclude” - said PiS MEP Adam Bielan on TVN24.

Sasin:
Further Anti-Crisis Shields Adopted by Government and Parliament Have Preserved Jobs. Poland is Vice-Leader in Europe for Unemployment, with Only the Czech Republic Having Lower Rates.
- Yes, indeed, we are looking very good against the backdrop of Europe. Despite recording a GDP drop of over 8% in the second quarter, slightly less than predicted, and with the year-end drop forecast at 4.5%, when we look at data from Germany, for instance, which recorded an 11% drop, or Spain and Great Britain, where the drop is above 20%, it's clear that we are navigating this crisis much more gently. And we are navigating it more gently because we reacted promptly and appropriately. The successive anti-crisis shields adopted by the government and parliament have allowed us to preserve jobs. I will say that Poland, in terms of unemployment, is a vice-leader in Europe today, as only the Czech Republic has lower unemployment than Poland. All of Europe is feeling the crisis in the labor market, a crisis related precisely to unemployment and job destruction. Here, it is actually a barely noticeable increase in unemployment, precisely because we reacted quickly and effectively – stated Jacek Sasin in an interview with Danuta Holecka on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".

State Treasury Companies Are Today Poland's Main Public Investors
- That statement from economists, which you mentioned a moment ago, is entirely consistent with our view as a government. Indeed, investments and stimulating demand are what can currently protect us from recession or from a deepening recession. Therefore, absolutely, despite spending enormous amounts of money, sums to support Polish entrepreneurs, we are not giving up on spending money on the large investments we have planned, such as, for example, CPK, the Vistula Spit canal, or the large road and rail programs. And here, of course, the role of State Treasury companies is absolutely crucial. State Treasury companies are today the main public investors in Poland - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
- Rail investments are being implemented through PKP PLK or are currently being planned for implementation by CPK, but there are significantly more of these investments. Large companies are investing, like Orlen, and Azoty, for instance. I would mention here the large investment in Police, near Szczecin, of modern chemical plants, which will lead to Poland becoming independent of foreign supplies in a certain segment of chemical products. These are large, multi-billion investments that are currently creating jobs, acting as the flywheel of the Polish economy, and will ensure that, as we predict, we will soon return to the path of economic growth. This economic growth, which has been our hallmark in recent years, during the PiS government's tenure, when we were always among the countries with the highest economic growth in the EU - the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

Sasin:
I am Unequivocally Against Another Lockdown
- I am unequivocally against another lockdown. What happened to us in the spring of this year was necessary then because we were not prepared for the scale of the epidemic we encountered. Today, we not only know more about the virus, we not only know more about how to protect ourselves from it, but we are also better prepared. I am thinking here primarily of the healthcare service, access to protective measures. Today, there is no need for such drastic actions as were taken before. All the more so because we know that nothing comes for free, that such actions as we took, closing down the economy, services, trade, are actions that obviously hit entrepreneurship and the economy. We cannot fight this one epidemic, a health epidemic, in such a way that we cause a serious economic epidemic in the form of deepening the crisis, which is already a fact at the moment. So, we simply cannot afford another lockdown - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
21:04
- It is difficult to answer questions today about a reconstruction, either of the entire government in this dimension or in the dimension of individual ministries, including the ministry I head, the Ministry of State Assets, because nothing is decided today. There are no binding decisions today. Coalition talks are also underway, because I will remind you that the United Right is not just PiS, but also the two other smaller, yet important parties forming this ruling group in the Sejm and the government today. Agreements must be reached here. We still have some time, because according to announcements, the presentation of the government in a new guise is to happen at the turn of September and October, meaning we have about 4 more weeks for talks, agreements, and adopting a model that would best utilize the time until the next parliamentary elections to change Poland, as we promised Poles before the last elections - stated Jacek Sasin on TVP Info's "Gość Wiadomości".
