- There were also kindergartens and other facilities where an employee temporarily contracted coronavirus. These situations don't just happen in schools. Does that mean if there was a coronavirus case at your station, you'd close for 2 weeks and say: 'we're not working'? The same rules apply in various areas of life, and similarly in schools. If a coronavirus case appears, the school principal should primarily contact the sanitary inspector, who initiates epidemiological proceedings. Firstly, they determine the circle of people who had contact with the infected individuals, which I understand has already happened, and those who had direct contact, meaning they spoke for an extended period at close range, should also be quarantined. Similarly, their families, those living with them, should be quarantined. However, others are not obligated to completely withdraw from public life. The same rules apply across different fields of life - stated Dariusz Piontkowski in TVN24's "One on One," when asked about a primary school in Grodzisk Wielkopolski where two employees tested positive for coronavirus.

- This meeting is absolutely not a courtesy call. At the meeting, on the one hand, we want to present the government's actions to date, both at the international forum and at the national forum. There is a plan, a plan that is being implemented, and it is good for the representatives of all political groups represented in parliament to be aware of the steps and actions being taken in this arena - said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Jedynka.

- The second matter is a joint discussion and a desire to remove Belarus-related matters from the current political debate - he added.

- One thing I can say for sure, which we will certainly ask our political partners for, is maximum engagement in the European Parliament within their political groups, and in all the environments where they operate. Here, a unified stance of the European Union regarding Belarus is very important, and activity that will encompass all EU countries, and not lead to a situation, for example, where one or two of the largest EU countries try to reach some kind of agreement with the Russian Federation - said Michał Dworczyk on Radio Jedynka. 

- My primary focus is on preparing schools for the start of the school year. Whether there will be a reshuffle, and what it will look like, that is already the task of the Prime Minister and the party leadership. It is, of course, the Prime Minister and the party leadership who decide [whether I will remain minister after the reshuffle]. We are trying to do our best. The Ministry of Education cooperates with the Ministry of Health and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate. The most important decisions are also consulted with the Prime Minister. These are not my competencies; every minister is at the Prime Minister's disposal. - stated Dariusz Piontkowski in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- It's clearly visible that the return of young people for eighth-grade and Matura exams, the return to kindergartens, and school consultations have not caused an increase in infections. Young people are also going on holiday. I haven't heard any reports, even on your station, about any mass infections at summer camps or resorts. This shows that young people, in line with reports, are not such carriers of the disease everyone has been talking about lately, and that they can return to schools relatively calmly - stated Dariusz Piontkowski on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- Opinions are very diverse. I will repeat once again. The opinion of an international, European agency is as I stated, that young people get sick less often and are not such carriers as adults. The experiences of European countries confirm this - the head of the Ministry of National Education continued to say.

- Today, we must realize that opening schools is also tied to opening the entire society and its functioning. After all, today no one is calling for us to close shops or public transport. It functions throughout the country, young and old people appear on the streets, in public spaces, and school is also such a space - stated Dariusz Piontkowski in "One on One" on TVN24.

- We have already stated that as the United Right, we are against the propaganda of these [LGBT] communities. We are against promoting this ideology in schools. The Superintendent said this in his own words - stated Dariusz Piontkowski on TVN24's "One on One".

- These words [from the Łódź Superintendent of Education about the LGBT virus] do not call for any form of hatred – stated Dariusz Piontkowski on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" program.

- We are absolutely not calling for any reckoning with any circles. We are clearly stating that school should be a safe place. There was no call for any violence. What you are saying now is an abuse and overinterpretation. School should be a place where children not only receive education, but where parents know with peace of mind that the school does not impose views on them that are contrary to their own, and the overwhelming majority of Poles do not want children to be forced to engage with this ideology – he continued.

- The Polish Teachers' Union (ZNP) believes that since the Minister of Education has delegated and diversified the entire process of organization and decision-making to the school director level, we recognize that the decision on organizing the new academic year and commencing it in a traditional manner should be made by the school director in consultation with the operating authority. There were many proposals, including the possibility of extending holidays, but the union believes this should be a decision of the school director and the operating authority, who would have the full right to decide that the traditional form of teaching, i.e., a student in a classroom with direct teacher involvement, would begin on September 7th, 14th, or 21st. Simultaneously, we expect that directors will be sovereign in making decisions and will not have to consult with sanitary and epidemiological stations. Here, we share the opinion of Jan Bodnar - stated Sławomir Broniarz at a press briefing.

- We also demand increased funding for schools and educational tasks, especially during the pandemic. We proceed from the assumption that this cannot be shifted onto directors or local government bodies, although we are aware that this is the core reason why the Minister of Education made such a decision - he continued.

- We also expect schools and facilities to be fully equipped with protective measures, including disinfectants and masks. Yesterday, Minister Dworczyk announced that the government is preparing 50 million masks. I hope these are not the masks from Antonov, but in the context of 4.5 million students, these 50 million will only last us 10 days - noted the head of the Ministry of National Education.

- We also expect that teachers and non-teaching staff will be equipped with these devices, high-efficiency masks, face shields, and disinfectants, and that this will not come at the expense of the teachers themselves. We are perhaps the only professional group that has the obligation to equip their workshop, workplace, and cover the costs of this equipment, and as the situation from March to June showed, remote education was also carried out at the expense of the teachers themselves. We also want clarification of the regulations on the organization of work in schools and facilities, and the guidelines issued by the Ministry of National Education, the Ministry of Health, and the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate - he said.

- We also expect screening tests for both teachers and non-teaching staff, as well as guarantees for teachers to utilize flu vaccinations when these vaccinations are most effective and efficient, and at the same time, ensuring the freeness of these vaccinations for the teaching community - stated Broniarz. - We also want a provision to be introduced that empowers the school director to decide on hybrid learning without obtaining a positive opinion from the sanitary inspection - he added.

This is, among other things, why we fought hard in the EU to secure the best, highest budget ever available for the Republic of Poland, and within that, the highest budget for the Silesian Voivodeship ever available from EU funds and the central budget - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki after the meeting of the Executive Council for the Program for Silesia.

- All individual projects within the Program for Silesia aim to protect existing jobs or create new ones, as well as to foster a transformation that will attract people to the region. We aim to draw back those who have left Silesia for other parts of the country, other regions, or other EU countries or the world, to ensure that the industrial heart of the entire Polish economy beats vibrantly here once again. This is our commitment, the commitment of the Program for Silesia. Today, we are talking about over PLN 60 billion invested in the Program for Silesia. Of this amount, PLN 23 billion has already been spent or contracted. However, we are continuously modifying and developing the program, and I can assure all residents of the voivodeship with certainty: this is already, and will increasingly be, the largest regional program ever proposed in this part of Europe for its residents, workers, entrepreneurs, and industrial plants, aimed at responding in the best possible way to the challenges of the third decade of the 21st century - emphasized PMM.

- I would like to initiate a beautiful program. The 'Under the White and Red' program is a program for all communes, all districts in Poland. 'Under the White and Red' is a proposal for all communes to erect tall flagpoles everywhere to commemorate our anniversaries, specifically the centenary of independence, the Battle of Warsaw, which will testify that Polishness is a great, magnificent value - said Mateusz Morawiecki during the inauguration of the 'Under the White and Red' program.

- Residents will be able to sign online petitions on the website, which will allow them to submit an application, and then we, as the government of the Republic of Poland, will finance the construction of such flagpoles for all communes that wish to have them - added the Prime Minister. 

- Just as in other European countries, Poland has also adopted a model of operation where the overwhelming majority of schools commence in-person classes. Teachers meet with students, which is especially important for first-graders - Dariusz Piontkowski said during a press conference.

- In situations of particularly increased epidemic risk, we foresee the possibility of transitioning to a remote system in two ways. Either a blended variant, where some students function in an in-person learning mode, or a remote variant, where all students, the entire school, transition to distance education - the minister continued.

- Let us reiterate once again in what situations such a model should be adopted. It cannot be solely the principal's impression, because a principal is not an expert on epidemic risk. The institution that intervenes during an epidemic, possessing specialists prepared to properly assess the state of threat, is the State Sanitary Inspectorate - he added.

- In both the blended and the remote model, we assume that this break from in-person teaching, from students being at school, will not be too long, that it will last approximately as long as the period of threat, the quarantine period - he stated. 

- Listening to the demands of this union's leadership sometimes gives me a kind of dissociation. On one hand, they say that school principals are not prepared to make decisions about limiting in-person education, and moments later, these same union leaders say that principals should make such decisions independently. I ultimately don't know what demand Mr. Broniarz is making, because he contradicts himself – said Dariusz Piontkowski during a press conference.

- Additional assistance. I have already stated that this is primarily the local government's own responsibility, and the state, from this trade union [ZNP], on the one hand, postulates that the Ministry of Education or the government should grant as much authority as possible to principals, local governments, and teachers, granting them the greatest autonomy, and on the other hand, by taking away competences, they simultaneously demand that the ministry should step in and fulfil duties imposed by law on local governments. We, despite it not being the state's obligation, are helping all schools, not only those run by local governments, but also private schools. The figures we provided here – millions of liters of disinfectant, millions of masks – represent real assistance that can be quantified in monetary terms. We expect local authorities to behave similarly and also allocate their own funds to secure schools – stated Dariusz Piontkowski during a press conference.

– Today, especially in this particular year when the epidemic has disrupted athletes' plans, we can say that this memorial, with the participation of international competitors, is a preparation, a major "R" warm-up for next year's Olympic Games, at which we wish Polish athletes great success – said Mateusz Morawiecki during a press conference. 

- We must remember that Rafał, we're on first-name terms, so I can say this, is first and foremost the Vice-Chairman of Civic Platform. Civic Platform is a well-resourced and the largest party in the opposition. It's difficult to build something in opposition to your own party, and even more difficult to be friendly with your own party when you're deputy leader - Włodzimierz Czarzasty said in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on the program 'Gość Wydarzeń' on Polsat News.

- I have a very precise plan. Very precise. By the end of this year, 320 districts will have the seats of the Left's structures, in 320 districts there will be the seats of our parliamentarians. For the first time in history, this will be the situation for all parties. Colleagues have until December 15th, and they will be held accountable for it. 16 regional, programmatic congresses, including with the participation of NGOs, with significant participation of structures associated with building the position of women and people with disabilities. Then, a grand programmatic congress in November for several thousand people and the unification of SLD and Wiosna on December 11th or 12th - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty in Polsat News.

- The Right clearly has an LGBT phobia. I think it's a topic fueled by internal right-wing struggles. I'm convinced of it. I am for equal treatment of all people, and all offices and officials. It cannot be that at the moment when there is a group associated with LGBT or fighting for LGBT rights, police officers are kneeling on them, holding them down with their hands, we've seen it, and our MPs are sitting at police stations until four in the morning and witnessing it - said Włodzimierz Czarzasty on Polsat News.

„Children must return to school. Children want it. Parents want it. And where is the chaos? Chaos is where Civic Platform (PO) local government officials govern local authorities and they artificially create this chaos. We can only speak of such chaos” - said Przemysław Czarnek from the Law and Justice (PiS) party in an interview with Edyta Lewandowska on TVP Info's 'Gość Wiadomości' ('Guest of the News').

"We see together the necessity of cooperation for the sake of real help and real support for the Belarusian nation in this uprising, because this is an uprising of the Belarusian nation and a striving for the sovereignty and freedom of the nation as such. We are indeed closer than ever to this goal, but every day's delay in implementing all the intentions that were undertaken both at the European Council thanks to the efforts of Prime Minister Morawiecki, and at the Council of the EU thanks to the efforts of Mr. Jacek Czaputowicz. Now these must be implemented," said Przemysław Czarnek from PiS on TVP Info.
