Agreement on Enhanced Defense Cooperation Between Poland and the USA Signed:

It Moves Us to Another, Even Stronger Stage of Cooperation.

- Momentarily, here in the Presidential Palace, an agreement on enhanced defense cooperation between Poland and the USA will be signed, which moves us to another, even stronger stage of defense, military cooperation. I am immensely pleased by both of these circumstances. This is also because they complement two declarations signed by me with U.S. President Donald Trump in June and September of last year. They concerned defense cooperation, and today's agreement signifies their practical implementation. As a result, there will not only be more U.S. Army soldiers in Poland, not only more U.S. infrastructure in our country, but also the guarantee will be strengthened that our soldiers, in case of any danger, whether threatening Poland or the USA, will stand shoulder to shoulder and defend. In short, it means a tangible strengthening of Polish security, and I also believe that it will translate into other aspects of Polish-American cooperation - stated President Andrzej Duda during the ceremonial signing of the Polish-American agreement on enhanced military cooperation.

- I am thinking about this very practical aspect, about economic cooperation, which brings tangible benefits to both our countries and nations. More security means more certainty for investment, more opportunities for economic development. And I am immensely pleased because over the last 5 years, Polish-American cooperation, both in defense and military matters, as well as in economic cooperation, has developed in an unprecedented way. These recent years are not just symbols, the introduction of visa-free travel to the USA for Poles, but primarily a huge strengthening of cooperation, for instance, in the field of energy. But it is also cooperation in many other areas, it is huge investments already realized and announced by American companies in Poland. But what is extremely important, not only do we benefit from this cooperation and strengthened military cooperation and cooperation, for instance, in the field of energy, but we also bring security to our part of Europe. In a military sense, this certainly means more security today for the Baltic states, for all our neighbors. But also in an energy sense, in the future, it will mean more security in our region as well, including for Ukraine. Expressing great joy over this agreement, which will be signed shortly, I wanted to thank immensely everyone who contributed to this agreement being negotiated, to its creation. But I also ask that the Secretary of State convey my thanks to President Trump. My thanks and very warm regards. God bless Poland, God bless the USA - PAD continued to speak.
