- Our supporters are chanting this [First round, first round]. It's difficult for us to censor them. There is significant mobilization. I believe it's a manifestation of the very strong emotions that have emerged in this election campaign. I am pleased that at meetings with President Duda, regardless of the weather or time of day, yesterday we were in Radom where it was raining heavily, we were in the middle of a weekday when many people are at work, and over 1,000 people came. So, regardless of where the President appears, he is already on his feet today, we have had further meetings and visits from the President since 6:00 AM, and crowds of people are coming, and I can only be happy about that - stated Adam Bielan in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- I am very skeptical and take all polls with a large distance. I've been saying this for months. Regardless of whether the polls give us a certain victory in the first round, as was the case just a dozen or so weeks ago, or if they show a more even fight and the necessity of a second round. In this poll that you [Kantar] conducted, there is one thing that is puzzling. It's a very sharp drop for Rafał Trzaskowski. By 16%, by 5 percentage points. I think this is a problem for Trzaskowski's campaign team, but in reality, we must wait not for further polls, which there will likely be a flood of today, but for election day - stated Adam Bielan in TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

If there is a second round, there will also be a clear choice between President Duda and his opponent, and I believe that on this basis, all voters who vote for someone else in the first round will make decisions on whom to potentially support in the second round, should it occur - stated Adam Bielan in "Jeden na jeden" on TVN24.

- In a polling station, there is an election commission, the head of the election commission, and they are responsible for ensuring all these norms are followed. I am convinced that in their own interest, the commission will discipline individuals who wish to enter in larger groups or not wear masks - said Łukasz Szumowski in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on the "Political Salon" of Polish Radio's Trójka.

-[The voter] should demand that these sanitary requirements are observed - the minister added.

- If the situation becomes difficult in autumn, if this second wave proves difficult, then some of these restrictions may return. However, certainly not in the full form we had, because simply the economy would not withstand a second lockdown, and consequently, we would also have a drama in healthcare - said Łukasz Szumowski on Radio Trójka.

„We were supposed to present the program yesterday in Płock. Unfortunately, due to what happened in Warsaw, everything has changed. This is Rafał Trzaskowski's program – 'New Solidarity' – which anyone can read and draw their own conclusions. I visited Andrzej Duda's website today and found 15 pages. I don't know if this can be called Andrzej Duda's election program. It contains program assumptions, a few theses, but there is nothing that can be strictly called a program, a complete program that everyone can pick up and draw conclusions from. Rafał Trzaskowski's main competitor has not presented a full program, and I want that to be clear. 15 pages of typescript on Duda's website is a mockery of voters” – said Cezary Tomczyk, Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign manager from Civic Coalition, in an interview with Krzysztof Skórzyński on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden" (One on One).

„I believe that the polls today show that full mobilization is simply necessary. I wanted to invite everyone from this place to Plac Zamkowy at 6 PM, where there will be a symbolic closing of the campaign, although Rafał Trzaskowski will have activities until the very night. Today we will be in Modlin, Płońsk, Warsaw, Międzyborów, and we will conclude with a special mobilizing event at the end” – said Cezary Tomczyk from Civic Coalition, the campaign manager for Rafał Trzaskowski, on TVN24.

„The pen, which became a symbol of Andrzej Duda’s ineffectiveness, is today in the hands of Polish citizens. The final outcome will depend on each of you” - said Cezary Tomczyk from Civic Coalition, head of Rafał Trzaskowski’s campaign staff, on TVN24.

„This may be our last chance as a nation to bring about change in Poland over the next 10 years. The last chance because we know that PiS is preparing, if – God forbid – they win these elections – a harsh course, similar to the one adopted in Hungary, and democracy in Poland may simply not defend itself. This is the last chance” - he added. 

I want to very warmly thank all the competitors for this fight, because we may often differ with competitors on the opposition's side, but today the very fact that these competitors and we ourselves are working hard until the very end guarantees that the turnout in these elections will be high. It must be high, because Poles deserve change. I would like to thank all competitors and campaigns for fair play. Unfortunately, I cannot say the same about Andrzej Duda's campaign, the lost court case, or what happened at TVP. I cannot thank them for that” – said Cezary Tomczyk from Civic Coalition, head of Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign, on TVN24.

In the final stretch of the campaign, President Duda's campaign team has launched the website programtrzaskowskiego.pl, featuring the spot "Rafał nie kłam" (Rafał, Don't Lie) and a redirect to the site rafalnieklam.pl.

Our sources explain that the inspiration for launching the website was the online publication of the KO candidate's program. - *It doesn't matter what Trzaskowski has in his program. The situation is as we show in the spot – he changes his mind, he lies, he doesn't keep his word* – says one of PAD's key campaign team members.

Interestingly, the domain is highly ranked in Google searches – it appears as the first result when typing "Rafał Trzaskowski" or "Trzaskowski program".

- For years, people have been saying they lack housing. Three million people in Poland are without a roof over their heads. And they were given a prescription: change your job, take out a loan. And people tried to change jobs, but they still couldn't get a loan because their work was simply low-paid, it was on precarious contracts, which were so amplified by the right-wing governments, whether from PO or PiS, that today we have three million people working on these precarious contracts, and this is a symbol of the state of contempt that the Polish right-wing has built. We must change this – said Robert Biedroń during a press conference in Krakow.

I've reviewed this document [Rafał Trzaskowski's program] and there are already a lot of critical comments and signals indicating that it's a hodgepodge of loose sheets and ideas, and this hodgepodge of loose sheets and various ideas also contains very many errors. So, this is not a serious way of treating voters when, 24 hours before the elections, you present... rightly so, 30 hours before the elections, if you present, speaking figuratively of course, I haven't tracked the exact hour, but one way or another, this kind of situation or approach to elections, where plans for the presidency are only discussed in the final hours of the campaign, means that this casualness, characteristic of Rafał Trzaskowski, who doesn't remember if he was an MP or if he voted against lowering the retirement age, is a lack of attachment to Polish matters – stated Paweł Mucha in a conversation with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- We are divided as never before. Some groups, some people, are called not human, and that is a disgrace. Especially when it is said by the President of the Republic of Poland. This is why we must say adieu, goodbye to President Duda - said Robert Biedroń during a press conference in Krakow.

– I appreciate Biedroń for being consistent. I appreciate Biedroń for having a defined value system. We treat the presidential election as a long march. A long march to power. A long march to co-governance in order to implement our ideas, so that Poland is tolerant – said Włodzimierz Czarzasty during a press conference in Krakow.

Andrzej Duda's campaign team conducted an online micro-targeting operation on a scale previously unseen in Poland. The combination of big data analysis and social media platforms like Facebook, along with video platforms like YouTube, allowed for a personalized campaign akin to a local election effort. Modern micro-targeting was first introduced by Karl Rove in George W. Bush's campaign, albeit through local cable TV where commercials were tailored to voter expectations, primarily for so-called Hispanics. Barack Obama's political operation elevated micro-targeting to a new level. Project Narwhal provided an advantage over Mitt Romney's campaign, to which Republicans attempted to respond with Project Orca, under the assumption that killer whales were the only predators threatening narwhals. However, the narwhal's tusk proved more effective in this context. Andrzej Duda's campaign team set records for the number of micro-targeted advertising messages: 1709 ads on Google Ads and another 820 on Facebook Ads. These were differentiated not only based on demographic factors and thematic profiling but also featured graphical creatives tailored to specific audiences. His team is capitalizing on this through hundreds of geo-targeted micro-campaigns configured on the Facebook Ads platform. The decision was made to use photos from the president's visits to these locations in the advertisements. The internet activities – both on the Google advertising network and social media – of the incumbent president's campaign were based on highly precise messages targeted to specific groups identified by Andrzej Duda's (AD) online strategists as crucial for his re-election. Several dozen such groups were identified. On one hand, this includes the so-called hard PiS electorate – residents of small and medium-sized towns, beneficiaries of social programs implemented by the right-wing camp over the past five years. On the other hand, it encompasses undecided voters who could be key, especially in the context of a potential second round of elections. The campaign addresses young people under 26 from small and medium-sized towns differently (emphasizing the reduction of personal income tax to 0% and job creation) compared to, for example, the aspirational electorate aged 35-55 from large cities (who are more attracted to the economic development of recent years and the quality of the healthcare system). The president's strategists focused on different issues when communicating with seniors (13th pension, lowering retirement age), parents up to 35 years old (500+, Maluch+, social programs), and entrepreneurs who are most likely to have suffered from the coronavirus pandemic (lowest corporate income tax in Europe, well-received PFR financial shield). Reports on political ad impressions indicate that ads related to Andrzej Duda's electoral committee are among the most popular in the current period, as shown by Google's political advertising transparency report. The Sotrender report indicated that the president's re-election campaign spent the least in terms of cost per individual voter reached, thanks to effective targeting.

- It is very important that I can be here. Unfortunately, I have a growing impression that the government is behaving like a classic dog in the manger. It supports only and exclusively those initiatives that it has planned itself, while initiatives that are organized from start to finish by local government in cooperation with the government unfortunately cannot count on support. The government talks about building one of the largest airports in the world. Unfortunately, not much is happening there yet. However, at a time when regional airports, which generate 60% of all traffic in Poland, are under threat, the government unfortunately does nothing to help them. What's more, even when the local government wants to recapitalize the airport, as is the case here, government companies do not want to agree to it. In Poland today, just as we are emerging from the coronavirus, investments are needed here and now. Protection of every job is needed. Here at Modlin Airport, 250 people work, but 1700 passes are issued, and several thousand people make their living from this airport. Today, all expert studies indicate that these regional airports, especially after the epidemic, will be incredibly important for the development of air traffic, but also for regional development. Hence the clear appeal to support investments here and now, as in my program, rather than gigantomania that may or may not come to fruition someday, and may never materialize. And from this place today, we must ask about the future of LOT, because all governments at this moment are negotiating with the European Commission for support for their national carriers. The PiS government talked a lot about economic patriotism, but when it comes to supporting jobs, as is the case here at Modlin Airport, and supporting our national carrier, we unfortunately do not hear about plans to save these companies that build our national pride - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing in Modlin.

- The polls in recent weeks have been very good, but polls are primarily meant to stimulate hard work, and we need enormous mobilization and energy on Sunday, and I hope that all polls show one thing above all. Namely, that without absolute, total mobilization, it will be very difficult to win these elections, and this has been clear from the very beginning. Just a month ago, everyone assumed President Duda would definitely win these elections. Today there is a chance for real change, but I cannot bring about this change alone. Citizens must bring it about by turning out in large numbers at the ballot boxes on Sunday. The sooner the better. And most importantly - these elections are truly elections that can decide a completely different future. Elections like these happen once in a generation, and that is why they are so incredibly important - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing in Modlin.

- I have not commented on other candidates on the opposition side, because I believe we have exactly the same task. Simply to mobilize all citizens who want to vote for us and ensure they turn out in large numbers at the ballot boxes - he continued.

- If you, the citizens, want us to resolve these elections in the first round, then I very much ask that you go to the polls, and secondly, that you encourage your families, acquaintances, and friends to do the same - said President Andrzej Duda in Mikstat.

Experts calculate that if we continue to develop at the same pace as before, meaning 4.3% of GDP annually, then ladies and gentlemen, we will reach approximately €1800 by 2025. This, of course, will be a conversion from zlotys, as we will still be earning in Polish zlotys. I guarantee this to you, because I believe that the discussion and the possibility of changing the zloty to the euro can only begin when the country is earning at a level comparable to wealthy countries in Western Europe - said President Andrzej Duda in Mikstat.

We must pursue a decisive and bold policy. And it cannot be a policy where we say, 'No, we are in favour of local investments, so we will not carry out these large ones.' No, ladies and gentlemen. These are not times of scarcity, where we have to decide whether to buy a coat or shoes for winter. Everyone knows that both a coat and shoes are needed – said President Andrzej Duda in Mikstat.

- 12 hours before the election silence, Andrzej Duda has not published a crucial document. He has not published his financial disclosure statement. Voters have the right to know; financial disclosure statements were invented to combat corruption at the highest levels of power. If the president does not want to show his financial disclosure, it may turn out he has something to hide. We demand the publication of President Duda's financial disclosure statement. We give him 12 hours for this. That is, until the start of the election silence - stated Cezary Tomczyk at a press briefing in front of the Presidential Palace.

- We will submit a bill, which was actually already submitted in the previous term, a bill that will oblige the president, the prime minister, as well as government members and all the most important people in the state to publish their financial disclosure statements - he continued.

„No matter what the rulers say, even if they try to attack you, we will not let the prestige [of teachers] be destroyed. I am directing these words to all teachers. You have absolutely earned our admiration, especially in these recent weeks and months. At a time of chaos related to entering the epidemic, when the government was making its first decisions, but also when there were irrational decisions, when local governments were often left to their own devices, when we were told about recommendations without consulting us, you were the first, on the front line, to organize yourselves” – said in Płońsk the KO presidential candidate, the Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.

„Rafał Trzaskowski didn't even have the courage to present this program at a press conference to answer journalists' questions. In our opinion, this program was revealed at the last minute so that experts couldn't show how many factual errors are in this document. In just a few hours, we found a multitude of errors, shortcomings, and things that are missing from the program but, in our opinion, should be included” – said PiS MEP Adam Bielan, spokesperson for Andrzej Duda's campaign staff, at a press conference.

„Andrzej Duda's program is not just words. It's deeds. Andrzej Duda's presidency is not just good change. It's real change. All social programs that have been implemented, all of this has been possible thanks to President Andrzej Duda and thanks to limiting, blocking the outflow of 50 billion zlotys annually from VAT fraud” - said Jan Kanthak from the PiS club at a press conference. 

“Attention, pensioners! [Rafał Trzaskowski]’s program does not contain a single sentence on the 13th and 14th pensions. We all know how important this program is. We all know how many millions of pensioners have benefited from it. Unfortunately, there is no declaration of intent to maintain this program. I cannot imagine liquidating it, and Rafał Trzaskowski’s program has no mention of it” – said Deputy Minister Waldemar Buda from PiS at a press conference. 

“We did our job. Our opponents presented their programs. One main opponent three weeks before the election, the second main opponent yesterday, very intensely inspired by our program, which we have been demonstrating since this morning. Do you want to be treated like this? How much longer will we allow ourselves to be treated this way? Like cannon fodder, like an electorate that can be moved from place to place” – said presidential candidate Szymon Hołownia.

Sławomir Nitras, a prominent Polish politician, shared on Twitter that a TVP (Polish Television) employee was apprehended by police for physically assaulting a member of Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign team. The tweet included a link to a Twitter post, presumably containing further details or evidence of the incident.

- These elections are about what Poland will be like in the future. I want to continue the policy that I have been implementing over the past few years. I want to support Polish families, I want to act so that Polish families live as well as possible. I want to act so that Poland becomes an increasingly prosperous country, so that people in our country live at a standard comparable to Western Europe – said President Andrzej Duda in Krzepice.

- If everyone will have a dignified place at the table, and I invite everyone to cooperate in the President's Chancellery, all political groupings. I will appoint a minister from Konfederacja, through Civic Platform, The Left, and PiS, and my own circle. There will be a minister from each of these groupings in the President's Chancellery - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Rzeszów.

– My dear friends, less than 12 hours remain. But this is still a lot of time to convince 5, 10, 15, 50, 100 people each of us. To dare. I've been asked very often lately about one Warsaw resident, Chairman Kaczyński, who has been talking so much about freedom recently. And I'll tell you one thing: I'm simply fed up with talking about Jarosław Kaczyński. I'm fed up with politicians who are constantly engaged in some kind of fight that should have ended long ago. They are constantly fighting a shadow, they look to the past. We don't need politicians like that, and I understand that so many of us are simply tired of these old disputes, these same discussions. Maybe we should really talk about something else, because today we are fighting for the presidency for the next 5 years, not for those 5, 10 years that have long passed – stated Rafał Trzaskowski at Castle Square in Warsaw.

Patriotism that builds. Patriotism that fosters the right attitudes, openness, and tolerance. Patriotism that helps change our country. Patriotism, and I say this in Warsaw, a city open and tolerant for tens, hundreds of years. A city where a taxi driver can tell me, "Mr. President, I'll tell you honestly, I don't entirely agree with you, but what are they saying about you on that TV!" [parodying Warsaw dialect]. Because this is exactly Warsaw, defiant, proud, with a twinkle in its eye, which never allows anything to be imposed on it, and for that, I thank you – said Rafał Trzaskowski at a rally in Warsaw.

A very important day lies before us. This coming Sunday, June 28th, we will be electing the President of the Republic of Poland. Free elections are a celebration of democracy. This is the moment when we confirm that we live in a democratic, law-abiding, and free state. We have a choice, and we can express it freely. This is our vote for how our country, our lives, and our future should look.


Although we differ in views and assessments, I am deeply convinced that in this democratic electoral act, we are always guided by the good of Poland. We have the right to see it differently, but it should always guide our decision. By choosing a specific candidate, we will decide how Polish affairs will be settled for the next 5 years. In which direction will we go? Will it be a path of development, security, and care for the family, or another direction? These are your decisions, citizens of a free and sovereign state, Poland. This vote is, and always should be, decisive.


These elections will take place in special circumstances. After the coronavirus pandemic, in the face of the fight to return to a new normality, to preserve jobs and the stability of our economy. The events of recent months will surely influence our choices. Having experienced these circumstances, we see much more sharply how much we, as a country and a nation, have achieved in recent years and how much we want to maintain the current level and conditions of our lives.


In these difficult and turbulent times, we need cooperation and mutual care. Courage in decisions, peace, and prudence in action. We see how important our health, stable work, and state support are. Having our own instruments for quick action. We also appreciate how important tradition, our history, experience, and the wisdom of the oldest generation are. How much the safety of our loved ones means to us. How much we need an effective and strong state. A government that thinks about and cares for the affairs of its citizens and pursues the interests of Poles here in the country, but also on the international stage.

- For two days now, such an emotion has stirred at these meetings that I don't want to arrogantly say I'm calm, but I look at the outcome of this competition with optimism. I am, of course, happy that I have an upward trend, that it's growing, but I see at the meetings that people have woken up. We had 360 meetings today, 15,000 door-to-door interactions; there might be surprises on Sunday – said Szymon Hołownia on Kropka nad I.

- We're building a social movement, one way or another. After what I've seen, there's no other way. Yesterday, my wife and I were reminiscing, thinking that if we gathered 2,000 volunteers, that would be a massive achievement, and we gathered 15,000. We thought 2.5 million from public fundraising would be a lot, and we collected 7 million. Regarding Kukiz, please remember that he had a different election calendar, he had several months to leverage that success in the parliamentary elections, which is not the case now. The elections will happen, if PiS allows it, in three years, if Andrzej Duda wins, when I don't make it to the second round - said Szymon Hołownia in KNI.

- Rafał Trzaskowski will find it much harder than I would to defeat Andrzej Duda, not because he has personal shortcomings, because I have nothing against him, but he has a very large negative electorate; he has 22%, I have 3%. Besides, PiS will repeat the 2005 tactic. They are precisely prepared for this: a situation where Tusk won in the first round and lost in the second because PiS concocted the 'Wehrmacht grandfather' story. Following consultations with the president, Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki is urgently heading to Podkarpacie, where the most serious flood situation is currently occurring – 300POLITYKA has learned from the prime minister's associates.
