Mastalerek:

The Role of Campaign Staff is Much Smaller Today, While the President's Achievements Weigh Much More. This Campaign is Like Andrzej Duda's Presidency: Active and With the People
- This campaign is different from 2015, but it also needs to be completely different. Back then, the President's camp was in opposition, and that change was just beginning to emerge. The President's word carries much more weight today, and the role of the campaign staff and strategists is much smaller, while the President's achievements matter far more. This campaign is like Andrzej Duda's presidency: active and with the people - said Marcin Mastalerek in a conversation with Krzysztof Ziemiec on RMF FM.

Polls Are an Alternative Reality, I've Said It Many Times. If Anything is Certain in Life, It's That Polls Get It Wrong. Just Look at the Last Elections. I Don't Like Living in an Alternative Reality.
- Polls are an alternative reality, I've said it many times. If anything is certain in life, it's that polls get it wrong. You just need to look at the last elections. I don't like living in an alternative reality, which is why I try not to comment on polls - said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM.

08:48

Mastalerek:

Turnout Will Depend on Whether PSL, Left, and Konfederacja Voters Mobilize, Which Isn't Certain as They Fought for Every Seat in Parliamentary Elections, Yet Here Their Candidates Have No Chance
- It seems to me that all previous elections have shown that Poland is divided fifty-fifty: there is the camp of the united right and there is the opposing camp. Everything will depend on the mobilization of our own voters and turnout. Today it seems certain that the voters of Civic Platform will be mobilized, President Duda's voters will be mobilized, but the turnout will depend on whether the voters of PSL, the Left, and Konfederacja mobilize, which isn't certain at all, because in the parliamentary elections they fought for every single seat, whereas here it is known that the candidates of the Left, PSL, and Konfederacja have no chance. Here, many voters might not go to the polls, or shift their support to a candidate who has a better chance, so this turnout doesn't just depend on the president and PO voters - said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM.

Mastalerek:

Trzaskowski's Campaign Contradicts His Past Actions; I'm Curious If This Social Engineering Will Convince Voters
"I would certainly advise presenting his five years in office decisively, defending it, and contrasting it with the 8 years of Civic Platform's rule. Voters at the ballot box have the right to be reminded of this. I myself am very curious if Trzaskowski will succeed. He is running a completely different campaign than the President. His campaign is such that he denies everything he has said and done. He is running an image-focused campaign. If PO raises the retirement age, he says he will oppose it; he used to say 500 plus was a catastrophe, and now he will defend it. If Rafał Trzaskowski negotiated the acceptance of refugees, today he says no. I am genuinely curious if this will work, because it is a certain social engineering operation, and whether people will believe it is very interesting - Marcin Mastalerek said on RMF FM.

08:59

Mastalerek on Trzaskowski: If He Kept Rushing With His Words, He'd Be Asking Jarosław Kaczyński to Join PiS in a Month
- It will turn out whether Poles will believe in a complete denial of what has been said. If he kept rushing with his words like this, he'd be asking Jarosław Kaczyński to join PiS in a month – said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM.

09:02

Mastalerek:

If I Could Advise Andrzej Duda's Campaign, It Would Be to Highlight the Opposition Candidate's Change of Mind Even More
- If I could advise Andrzej Duda's campaign, it would be to highlight the opposition candidate's change of mind even more. The task of Andrzej Duda's campaign team is simply to show this. To show the actions that were and what they are now - said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM.

09:07

Mastalerek:

I believe this is a very important issue, as there are countries in the world where same-sex marriages and adoption are permitted. In my opinion, this topic isn't overplayed, but we'll see at the ballot box.
- I believe this is a very important issue, as there are countries in the world where same-sex marriages and adoption are permitted. In fact, Paweł Rabiej introduced this topic into the campaign when he mentioned it in an interview. He is Rafał Trzaskowski's deputy to this day, who said in an interview that there was a plan to acclimatize people to adoption. In my opinion, this topic isn't overplayed, but we'll see at the ballot box - said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM.

09:11

Mastalerek:

I believe there's a chance for Andrzej Duda to win in the first round. It depends on the turnout of PSL, Left, and Confederation voters, and the mobilization of Andrzej Duda's electorate.
- I believe there's a chance for Andrzej Duda to win in the first round. It depends on the turnout of PSL, Left, and Confederation voters, and the mobilization of Andrzej Duda's electorate. I don't know if it will succeed, because the result might be lower, but today, before the final decisive week, the chance exists and the campaign team should do everything to mobilize voters. We live in a bubble, Poland is elsewhere - Marcin Mastalerek said on RMF FM.

09:17

Mastalerek Rejects Duda-Komorowski Analogy: "He No Longer Fit His Times in 2015, Didn't Adapt to New Communication, and It Was a Palace Presidency, Not One with the People"
"There is no similarity whatsoever with Bronisław Komorowski. In 2015, he no longer fit his times, didn't find himself in new forms of communication, and furthermore, it was a palace presidency, not a presidency with the people. Have you, Mr. Editor, seen the 'sharp shadow of fog,' TikTok, and other forms of communication?" - said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM.

09:20

Mastalerek:

The criticism was of words the president didn't say. It's hard to criticize the Family Charter, as that would mean criticizing all social programs. The whole issue will ultimately help the president.
"The criticism was of words the president didn't say. It's hard to criticize the Family Charter, as that would mean criticizing all social programs. The whole issue, starting from the Family Charter to opposition towards homosexual marriages, will ultimately help the president," said Marcin Mastalerek in a conversation with Krzysztof Ziemiec.

09:28

Mastalerek:

As a supporter of the President, I'm glad there's such complacency in Civic Platform, that they're narcotizing themselves with these polls. I have déjà vu from before the European elections
"As a supporter of the President, I'm glad there's such complacency in Civic Platform, that they're narcotizing themselves with these polls, which I don't believe in, because as a rule I don't believe in polls. I have déjà vu from before the European elections, when Civic Platform and its affiliates, the establishment, were complacent and actually had internal squabbles about who they owed their victory to. I myself witnessed such a dispute at a social gathering, and a few weeks later they lost" – said Marcin Mastalerek on RMF FM in an interview with Krzysztof Ziemiec.

"My Home." Trzaskowski's Campaign to Present a New Spot at 11:30 AM: "A Very Personal Confession from the Candidate about His Closest People and Values"

"My Home." Trzaskowski's campaign team will present a new spot at 11:30 AM.

According to sources from Rafał Trzaskowski's inner circle speaking to 300POLITYKI, this will be a very personal confession from the candidate about the people closest to him and his values. - Voters will see a Rafał they haven't had the chance to know yet - we hear from one of the leading campaign strategists.

In campaigns, spots where the candidate "introduces himself" to voters play a huge role. In Polish electoral battles, a breakthrough moment in overcoming the polling gap with Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz in 2005 was Donald Tusk's spot featuring a photo from his work as a chimney sweep. A biographical spot also played a significant role in Barack Obama's campaign.

10:02

Andrzej Duda: For the Past 5 Years, I've Simply Been Dealing with Polish Matters. I'm Pursuing Polish Interests and Wish to Continue Doing So, Which is Why I'm Running in the Presidential Election

- When people talk to me, for which I am enormously grateful, they come to these campaign rallies, they share their observations and thoughts with me about what Poland is like today, what it was like, and what they would like it to be, they tell me one thing: you are a president of Polish matters. And perhaps this is indeed the case, perhaps thanks to what I hear, I can say that for the past 5 years I have truly been dealing simply with Polish matters. This is how I've managed Polish affairs. I am managing Polish affairs and I would like to continue managing these Polish affairs, which is precisely why I am running in the presidential election - stated President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

PAD:

We are doing everything to save jobs

- First and foremost, at this moment, we are doing everything to ensure that jobs survive, that there is work, so that families can manage peacefully, sustain themselves, so that fathers and mothers have their jobs, earn money, bring it home, and can support their children - stated President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

10:30

President Duda: Poland Needs Both Large-Scale and Small-Scale Investments, Not One or the Other

- I want us to emerge from this economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic precisely through investment. And through various types of investment. Through large investments, because we are implementing both the Central Communication Port (CPK) and the Vistula Spit canal, i.e., the construction of a waterway that will connect the Baltic Sea with the Vistula Lagoon, but we are also constantly undertaking large-scale road construction in our country. S6, S10, via Baltica, via Carpatia, as well as railway lines, Rail Baltica. But also 1800 km of railway lines that are intended to supply the CPK. These are the large, powerful investments, but in addition to these, we will also be carrying out smaller investments that directly serve the everyday needs of the ordinary citizen. We have been hearing recently from politicians, especially from the opposition, also from opposition candidates, that large investments should be abandoned, and now smaller investments should be implemented. Well, no, nothing could be further from the truth. We are not a beggar country that has to choose, when it's time to stock up for winter, it has to decide whether to buy a coat or shoes. No, we need both types of investments, they should be implemented – stated President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

Trzaskowski:

Education Is One of the Government's Biggest Failures, Perhaps the Biggest

I am very often asked what most irritates me about the current government, which sin is a sin we will never forget. The list is very long because, first and foremost, they have broken the constitution multiple times, they are breaking the rule of law. Above all, dear citizens, they do not care about citizens. Today, with the coronavirus, it is evident that they have left entire groups of citizens – entrepreneurs, people who live from tourism, which is incredibly important here in Warmia, people who live from spas, from border trade – they have all been left to fend for themselves. The list of transgressions is incredibly long, but I always answer that very high, if not the highest on this list, is education. I say this as a local government official, as the Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, but I also say this as a father and as an academic lecturer for over 20 years” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition's candidate for president and Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, in Olsztyn.

10:35

Trzaskowski to PAD and PiS: You want to teach us what a Polish family is, at a time when you're trying to destroy Polish education?

I don't know if you've noticed, but this government constantly wants to lecture us. They will teach us what a Polish family means, what patriotism means. And I have several very serious questions for the President and those in power. You want to teach us what a Polish family is, at a time when you're trying to destroy Polish education? We all know that we pore over lessons with our children late into the night, I do too, my wife does, and probably most of you, at a time when absolute chaos has been introduced into education. We sit over homework because the core curricula are overloaded, because such a mess has been introduced that it's hard to get a handle on it” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, Civic Coalition's presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, in Olsztyn.

10:36

Trzaskowski on PiS: We Will Never Forget Their Attack on Teachers

This was all accompanied by an attack on teachers. We will never forget this. Teachers, who earn salaries far, far too low, but at least had the comfort of work created by local governments and at least had one of the greatest job prestiges in Poland, and they are trying to destroy even that, trying to constantly pit us against each other. And we've had enough of that” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition's candidate for president and the mayor of the capital city of Warsaw, in Olsztyn.

10:51

Andrzej Duda: I Have Fulfilled My Most Important Commitments from 2015, and All My Compatriots Know This, Especially Those Who Benefit Today
— Right now, I'm heading straight back to the campaign trail and going to visit my compatriots in Podlasie. To talk with them, and I will continue to do so. Because I have fulfilled my commitments, the most important ones I made in 2015, and all my compatriots know this, especially those who are beneficiaries of it today, because they could retire peacefully, because they wanted to, and don't have to work until they are 67 years old, because they receive 500+ and other family benefits, because they received the 13th pension, because they are not yet 26 years old and in their first or second job they don't pay income tax at all, because with my signature that tax was abolished – stated President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw.

11:04

Trzaskowski in Olsztyn: I wanted to clearly say to the Ukrainian minority, 'Welcome' and 'Thank you.' For your patience above all, and for being with us.
"I wanted to clearly say to the Ukrainian minority, 'Welcome' and 'Thank you.' For your patience above all, and for being with us. And to all of you here, I want to say one thing - we will not be divided, because we are all citizens of our homeland and our country. And I will not allow myself to be divided" - said Rafał Trzaskowski, the KO candidate for president and the mayor of the capital city of Warsaw, in Olsztyn.

11:32

My Home. Trzaskowski's Campaign Presents an Electoral Spot

During the final campaign weekend before the first round, Rafał Trzaskowski's team presented the spot "My Home" – a personal confession from the candidate about the people and values closest to him. - Voters will see a Rafał they haven't had the chance to know yet - one of the top campaign strategists tells us.

- We all come from somewhere. I am from Sieradz, the MP is from Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski is from Warsaw. Today is the time to introduce ourselves, to say "hello", and also a time for Poles to see this first spot, which will be broadcast on all major television stations – viewers of TVN, Polsat, and TVP alike, who do not receive the true message. It is often manipulated, censored, so all the more we want TVP viewers, who are not to blame for the station's manipulation, to see the real Rafał Trzaskowski, where he comes from, what his credo is, and therefore we say that here and now it is worth starting from the beginning and saying "hello", introducing ourselves - said Cezary Tomczyk at a press briefing.

In campaigns, spots where the candidate "introduces himself" to voters play a huge role. In Polish electoral battles, a breakthrough moment in overcoming the poll deficit against Włodzimierz Cimoszewicz in 2005 was Donald Tusk's spot featuring a photo of him working as a chimney sweep. Poland as the Narrator in Andrzej Duda’s New Campaign Spot:

Rafał, We’ve Had Enough of Your BS.

The reelection campaign team of the incumbent president is heavily focused on portraying Rafał Trzaskowski as someone who shies away from hard work and is detached from reality. Andrzej Duda's campaign strategists aim to highlight the contrast between the president, who visited all counties throughout his term and "was with the people," and the mayor of the capital, who is more comfortable in the company of elites.

- Hi Rafał. It’s me, Poland. We don’t know each other well. It’s great you’ve started traveling now. Malicious people say you’re ready to work for 4 weeks and then do nothing for 5 years. I’m convinced this is unnecessary malice, though you do have the replications of a slacker. And Poland requires a lot of work and clear priorities. Yours are the airport in Berlin and the LGBT card. It worries me that when Warsaw was struggling with the virus, you went on sick leave. From exhaustion? Seriously, did you give that poor lady 20 groszy? - says the narrator - Poland - in a new spot from Andrzej Duda’s campaign, which 300POLITYKA is the first to publish.

The mock clip uses, among other things, Rafał Trzaskowski’s statements that Nord Stream 2 is a "private company agreement and governments are not behind it" or that "you gain weight from nuts.” It also recalled his statement that "I am only honest with deceased ancestors.”

https://youtu.be/s6WO0H3SDQc

- I fear you are not very credible. So it’s great you’ve set off across Poland, because local tourism needs promoting, but the only thing Poland has received from you is toxic sewage being distributed. And you’re posing as an environmentalist. So Rafał, we’ve had enough of your BS. Poland - the narrator continues.

Andrzej Duda's strategists decided to use a motif employed in Rafał Trzaskowski’s campaign against Patryk Jaki as a double-edged sword, reasoning that since the mayor of the capital himself used a certain style, it is fully permissible and the convention is amusing.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

No Single Individual Can Guarantee the Security and Future of Our Homeland. No Genius Exists, Even if Repeated for a Hundred Years from 7:30 PM Onwards. There is Only a Nation Aware of Its Rights and Obligations.

"You are the strength of the Republic, because it will never be strong through an individual. There is no single person who can guarantee the security and future of our homeland. There is no such genius, even if they repeated it for a hundred years starting from 7:30 PM, such a genius does not exist. There is only a nation aware of its rights and obligations, all citizens, and it is the guarantee of Poland's future, the well-being of the Republic, the joy of its citizens" – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the candidate for President from the Polish Coalition and leader of the PSL, in Opole.

13:54

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

In These Elections, We Must Finally Expose the Hypocrisy and Greed of This Government, Which Has Appropriated Everything: From Cemetery Access to the Judiciary, from the Prosecutor General to the Children's Ombudsman, from Everyday Life to

In these elections, we must finally say what we feel, without mincing words. On the one hand, we must expose the hypocrisy and greed of this government, which has managed to appropriate everything: from cemetery access to the judiciary, from the Prosecutor General to the Children's Ombudsman, from everyday life to patriotism and our history. Enough is enough” – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Polish Coalition's presidential candidate and leader of PSL, in Opole.

14:37

Trzaskowski:

I Clearly State I Will Veto Any Law Seeking to Abolish 500+, Because We Will Defend 500+

Four years ago, I was not a member of parliament, but the truth is that today we must listen to what citizens say. I speak clearly because I am, above all, sincere, and therefore I say that if certain issues, particularly concerning the problems of the Third Polish Republic, have been accurately diagnosed, then conclusions must be drawn from this. If people on the street - whether in a big city or a small town - tell me, repeat to me, that the retirement age should not be raised, but rather conditions should be created so that it pays for people to work longer, if they wish to do so. Therefore, our stance and my stance on this matter are clear. Similarly, regarding 500+. We clearly say today that citizens want to feel changes in their own pockets, and that is why I say I will veto any law that seeks to abolish 500+, because we will defend 500+. I will also veto any law that seeks to raise the retirement age, because that is what people tell me on the streets when I meet them” - said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition's presidential candidate and Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, at a press conference in Sorkwity.

Because it is important. The member of parliament pointed out to me that four years ago, of course, I was a member of parliament, but I don't recall us voting on raising the retirement age back then. It is very important to correct everything, because today everything needs to be corrected. Four years ago, I was a proud member of parliament, but we did not vote on raising or lowering the retirement age then” - he added at the end of the press conference.

14:42

President Duda: We don't need pats on the back from abroad. It's better if they don't. We don't need praise. They can attack and criticize us. What matters is that they feel respect.
I always say: we don't need pats on the back from abroad. It's better if they don't. We don't need praise. They can attack and criticize us. What matters is that they feel respect, that's enough, for them to feel respect towards us. We don't need more – stated President Andrzej Duda in Grajewo.

14:43

Trzaskowski Responds to PAD's Video: 'If Duda's Campaign, Which Hasn't Proposed Any Initiatives, Says This, He's President of Only One Political Option. This Could Turn Against Him Quickly. People Know Who Was Lazy.'

"If such doubts are raised about who is working hard, then Polish women and men will judge who has truly worked hard in recent years. If this is said by President Duda's campaign, which has not come up with any initiatives of its own, which is president of only one political option, then I fear it could turn against Mr. President quite quickly, because it is the people who will decide, and people know well who was lazy in which position, and who worked hard" - said Rafał Trzaskowski, the KO candidate for president and the mayor of the capital city of Warsaw, at a press conference in Sorkwity.

14:48

Trzaskowski:

If I Become President, I Will Propose a Special 5% Bonus for All Volunteer Firefighters with at Least 10 Years of Service

"If I become president, I will propose a special 5% bonus for all volunteers who have served for at least 10 years, because we must primarily appreciate our volunteers" - said Rafał Trzaskowski, candidate for president from Civic Coalition and Mayor of the Capital City of Warsaw, at a press conference in Sorkwity.

14:58

President Duda: Adoption by Same-Sex Couples Should Be Absolutely Unacceptable

- I believe that adoption by same-sex couples should be absolutely unacceptable. Absolutely. And marriage, according to the Polish Constitution, is a union of a woman and a man. And it is precisely this shaped family that must be protected in Poland, because this is the family that stems from our tradition, and this is the family that has been tested for over a thousand years of our history as the one that builds the Polish state and recovers it every time we lose it, and it gives Poland successive generations of well-raised Poles, because this is its most important role, for which the Polish state is grateful – stated President Andrzej Duda in Grajewo.

15:04

President Duda's Warning: "One of my competitors voted against lowering the retirement age, when he was an MP. I'm talking about Trzaskowski. He called raising the retirement age 'modernization of Poland'."
"I want to warn you. Because one of my competitors, who, incidentally, voted against the law lowering the retirement age when he was an MP, against my law by which I lowered the retirement age for you, he voted. He voted against. I am talking about Trzaskowski, then an MP of PO, who, when this retirement age was being raised for all of us, was in the European Parliament. But he always and repeatedly stated that he was in favour of that solution, and when I said that I would lower the retirement age and took steps in that direction, he said it was a catastrophe for Poland and a negation of modernization efforts. He called raising the retirement age for people 'modernization of Poland'" - stated President Andrzej Duda in Grajewo.

15:06

President Duda: Trzaskowski's Stance on Pension Age is Untrustworthy – Either He's Lying or Unstable

- Today he [Rafał Trzaskowski] says he would not sign a bill raising the retirement age. Ladies and gentlemen, do not believe him. Because there are two possibilities. Either he is lying, or he is unstable, given that he changes his mind from day to day. A stable person does not change their mind from day to day. And not to such an extent - stated President Andrzej Duda in Grajewo.

15:25

PMM:

I am happy to see young, dynamic Polish companies with plans for the future. I am convinced that this will make our Polish reality look better and better
When I talk to the creators of Scanway, a company developing such innovative projects, I see that Poland has a model for developing Polish knowledge capital, and this is what we expect. We want young Poles to be able to realize their dreams here - said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during a visit to Scanway, a company specializing in vision systems, image processing, and 3D scanning, which also benefited from government support to save jobs - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. I am happy when I see young, dynamic Polish companies with plans for the future. I am convinced that thanks to this, our Polish reality will look better and better - PMM continued. Government support for saving jobs and maintaining financial liquidity in companies after the crisis caused by COVID-19 now exceeds PLN 88 billion. Under the Financial Shield of the Polish Development Fund alone, the government has allocated over PLN 51.7 billion to aid entrepreneurs. Companies receiving subsidies from the PFR employ nearly 2.7 million people. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki visited one such company in Lower Silesia. Enterprises in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship have so far received PLN 6.4 billion in assistance.

Trzaskowski on Retirement Age: 'Unlike My Political Rivals, I Can Say We've Changed Our Minds Based on What Citizens Tell Us'

- Unlike my political rivals, I can say that we have changed our minds under the influence of what citizens are telling us. Namely, citizens are clearly saying that they want incentives to possibly work longer, if they make that decision. However, today I will indeed veto any bill that seeks to raise the retirement age. This is because citizens should decide. On the other hand, a system of incentives for people to work longer, if they wish, truly needs to be created – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in an interview with Piotr Marciniak on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".
