- Professor Czarnek has already explained the context of his statement. And of course, it was an unfortunate statement, and such words are better left unsaid, because they also cloud the picture of what the essential difference in this campaign is. Because we are not talking about judging or diminishing the rights of homosexual people in any way. They have equal rights and are the same people as everyone else, but it's about opposing the political agenda of the LGBT movement, about a certain ideology stemming from that political program, which we oppose, and which Rafał Trzaskowski supports, although he doesn't entirely want to admit to it for the sake of the campaign - stated Marcin Horała in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- The matter is clear here. Paweł Rabiej, who is after all Mr. Trzaskowski's deputy, said this directly at one point in a moment of sincerity, and was not in any way, I don't know, expelled from the party or from his job for those words. Trzaskowski did not distance himself from them in any way. He himself said that he dreams of performing the first homosexual, same-sex wedding - stated Marcin Horała in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

"Poland has for a long time consistently sought to increase the U.S. military presence on its territory. It is not our intention to achieve this goal at the cost of reducing the American contingent in Germany. The eastern flank of the North Atlantic Alliance is an essential component of the transatlantic community. We are convinced that maintaining strong ties lies in the interest not only of Poland but of all of Europe, including Germany. Negotiations regarding the increase in the number of American troops in Poland are proceeding according to plan, and I believe their outcome will be satisfactory," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in an interview with the Lithuanian news agency Baltic News Service.

The Prime Minister was asked about the presence of American troops in the so-called Suwałki Gap: "The security of our region has always been a priority for us. We can achieve this goal through cooperation within NATO. Let us remember that the key to fighting the epidemic is whether, in the case of infected individuals, we can provide adequate care for them, which means – in short – whether there is a sufficient number of infectious disease beds and ventilators. For now, the number of ventilators and infectious disease beds is at a sufficient level” – said government spokesman, Minister Piotr Müller, on Polish Radio's Jedynka.

– Rafał Trzaskowski's activities naturally extend beyond the Civic Platform. The time he spent in the Warsaw City Hall was a period during which he truly built significant authority among local government officials. Today, you know, there are many mayors and even village administrators who are affiliated with a political party, but during elections, when they run for office, they achieve support of up to 80% – said Sławomir Nitras in an interview with Beata Lubecka on the program „Gość Radia ZET”.

- This is not just an election campaign, this is a serious, different way of conducting politics, of seeing the presidential office, which cannot be partisan. Besides, Trzaskowski has never been like that. It was Andrzej Duda who turned the Polish presidency into a party office. This must end. This malpractice must be stopped, and that is what Rafał Trzaskowski proposes - said Sławomir Nitras on Radio ZET.

"I would apologize [in Czarnek's place] because one must speak absolutely precisely. One cannot leave room for it to be understood exactly like that. I know what he meant. Read the way you read it, it indeed sounds terrible and one should apologize for it. I am aware of what he meant. He wasn't referring to everyone. He was referring to those behaving obscenely. It sounded the way it sounded, and indeed, one should backtrack by saying, 'I expressed myself incorrectly'" – said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM.

"First and foremost, tolerance. Tolerance for homosexual individuals is something that is beyond discussion. No one should claim they are second-class citizens, or people who do not have equal rights, or should be – I remember a very wise statement – told to stand behind a wall" – said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin on RMF FM.

“We absolutely have no plan to kill Polish mining, quite the opposite. We are doing everything to save this mining, in the extremely difficult situation it has found itself in” – said Deputy Prime Minister Jacek Sasin on RMF FM.

- From this perspective, we are convinced that there is only one opponent, and that is President Andrzej Duda, and it is with Andrzej Duda that these elections must be won. Somewhere towards the very end, opposition candidates should already declare now that in the second round of elections, they will support the opposition candidate who finds themselves in that second round. We are not looking for, and as Civic Coalition, we have never looked for opponents on the opposition's side. We assume that the opposition must cooperate with each other. Therefore, opposition candidates should also cooperate with each other in these elections, and the goal is clear. It is to break down this ruling camp, which often preoccupies itself rather than addressing the affairs of Poles - stated Marcin Kierwiński in "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

– We are surprised that on the eve of the [TVP] debate, because tomorrow, in fact, is the debate, we do not know the details of this debate. Today is just the first organizational meeting regarding it, the drawing of lots, but also the determination of all technical details. This is a bit late. It seems that TVP does not want the chances to be equal for all candidates – stated Marcin Kierwiński in "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

- Hospitals are in debt by over PLN 14 billion, which is why in the "Health Pact" I propose four main solutions. Increased healthcare funding and debt relief for hospitals. Funding for treatment and increased accessibility, shortening waiting lists. De-bureaucratization of healthcare and raising salaries for all employees who work hard today, fighting the coronavirus - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Pszczyna. 

- I think our voters are sufficiently aware. The voters of Konfederacja, or my voters in the presidential elections, are aware enough to distinguish between politicians who instrumentally use certain slogans and those who truly believe in them. When it comes to the fight for the defense of conservative values, for their strengthening in Poland, so that we don't go down the path of the total cultural dominance of the left, as has happened in the West, then I think President Duda's term was 5 years of inaction and winking at the left, and at this moment, at the finish line of the election campaign, making some provocative declarations will not really change much - stated Krzysztof Bosak in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

- Of course, the fact that the LGBT lobby wants their preferences to be recognized as if they were a traditional family is absurd. A family is a man, a woman; the Constitution defines it as such. However, beyond that, we simply have equal rights - stated Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Plus.

- I fear that closing and reopening the economy was based more on polls, meaning the media greatly frightened society. The government saw that it appeared in the polls that people were afraid, so it closed the economy, and when it saw that people were already impatient, it started to reopen. This is not policy based on knowledge - stated Krzysztof Bosak on Radio Plus.

"For years, politicians have been cutting off towns like Końskie from oxygen. Step by step, they closed down more and more bus and rail connections. In 2009, the last train departed from Końskie. Unfortunately, no other train has arrived here since then. In 2012, the PKS [State Passenger Transport] companies were liquidated, as happened across Poland – 12 million people have no access to a bus, a train, to public transport. This is the reality in many Polish cities today" – said Robert Biedroń, a candidate for president from the Left, and a Member of the European Parliament, in Końskie.

„Five years ago, Andrzej Duda, while touring Poland, including here in Świętokrzyskie, promised to abolish precarious contracts. Has President Andrzej Duda abolished precarious contracts? He has not. He promised the abolition of precarious contracts and broke his word. He deceived the people. He deceived the residents of Końskie and the Świętokrzyskie region. Mr. President, if you have the civic courage, instead of dividing people into better and worse, come to Końskie and apologize for deceiving the people” – said Robert Biedroń, a Member of the European Parliament and a presidential candidate for The Left, in Końskie.

- When I become President of the Republic of Poland, I do not plan to hold a solemn mass of my denomination at the inauguration of my presidential term, as has been the case until now, with the participation of the Polish Episcopate and the use of presidential kneelers - said Szymon Hołownia in Toruń.

- I see no reason to involve people who do not share my faith in my Church in this way. Therefore, I will do everything to ensure that ceremonies initiated by the presidential chancellery are secular in nature - he continued.

- I will resign from the position of presidential chaplain and curator of presidential chapels in the presidential chancellery. This position will be replaced by a social worker who will help solve the real problems of people seeking assistance.

- I will request the Supreme Audit Office (NIK) to examine financial flows between state institutions and institutions of the Catholic Church, with particular attention to all the works conducted by Father Tadeusz Rydzyk.

- I am a proponent of the thesis that the Catholic Church should be taxed on the same principles as other social organizations, because why should it be treated differently?

- I believe that since our concordat with the Holy See, which is enshrined in the constitution and with which we cannot do much, states that the Polish state organizes religious education, but does not specify who finances it, we should sit down with the Church and ask who should fund it.

- There should be no doubts, as there are now, about how church institutions cooperate with state institutions in resolving issues [of sexual offenses].

„A strong president should primarily ensure that the state is strong, not politicize security matters. We would like to leave this decision to the citizens. We were negotiating with the Church, which approached this rather positively, because this solution would allow us to create a strong bond between citizens and churches of various denominations. „Regarding claims concerning Jewish property, I am surprised that the ruling party, PiS, and its television are trying to incorporate such a sensitive topic into the election campaign. Such sensitive topics should be discussed, and we should particularly consider the interests of the Polish state, but this should be done in a way that does not lead to problems. That is precisely why I am very surprised that the ruling party is trying to incorporate such a sensitive topic into the election campaign” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition's presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, at a press conference. Trzaskowski answered the question in English, his own translation. 

- What did our predecessors do, Mr. Budka's, Mr. Trzaskowski's, Mr. Schetyna's party? Well, 8 years ago, retirees learned they have to work even longer. Men and women up to the age of 67. Women's retirement age was raised by 7 years. Men's by another 2 years. They couldn't cope with the budget deficit that existed at the time. They couldn't plug the tax system, they imposed this burden on the shoulders of retirees. They were to work even longer. We restored the retirement age according to our promise - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing, also listing, among fulfilled promises, "Emerytura plus" (Pension plus).

"There are no such plans [to introduce a state of emergency before June 28]" - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki stated at a press conference.

- Millions of retirees are feeling the positive effects of our actions, the actions of the PiS government, while it's worth recalling what Mr. Trzaskowski said about lowering the retirement age by us, which we planned. He said it was a budgetary catastrophe, that it couldn't be allowed to happen because it was a kind of great mistake. He claimed that modernization efforts mean raising the retirement age and that it's like trying to turn back the tide, along with several other similar negative, pejorative terms he invented to confirm in subsequent statements that he is an opponent of the retirement age that we proposed and kept our word on. What's more, we added the 13th pension. He said that was a budgetary catastrophe - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

- Today, at the Council of Ministers, we also decided to fix another error, a legislative sloppiness from the PO governments. Specifically, with regard to individuals born in 1953, they were further oppressed by that change in retirement age. And we are executing this Constitutional Tribunal ruling from over a year ago, so that justice, in this regard as well, is served - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

During the government of Donald Tusk, in which the presidential candidates, such as Rafał Trzaskowski and Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, participated, 32 sanitary-epidemiological stations (Sanepid) were liquidated. Then the coronavirus arrived, and it turned out that we were unable to conduct tests in sufficient quantities because there were no laboratories – said President Andrzej Duda in Płońsk.

- I want to protect the Polish family, I want to realize the constitutional rights of Polish parents. The opposition shouts about the constitution. Why then don't you want to realize the constitutional rights of parents? Why don't you want to realize the constitutional rights of children? Why? Why don't you see these constitutional provisions? – said President Andrzej Duda in Płońsk.

- I promise you such politics going forward. Wise politics. Not undermining what the government wants to do for people, not tripping the government up, not hindering, not blocking, as is happening today in the Senate, where the opposition currently holds the majority, but rather creative cooperation on all matters that serve the people - said President Andrzej Duda in Płońsk. 

„Sometimes at press conferences, I have to answer questions that have nothing to do with what truly concerns Poles today, because the fundamental issues are paramount – primarily the defense of jobs. Today, the government talks about some massive investments that might materialize in a few years, but what's crucial are investments here and now, investments around the corner. [Journalists] ask about breakdowns. Breakdowns happen. Today, television [TVP asks] where I bought jam on a given day. They are constantly searching for topics that have nothing to do with what is truly important to Poles today, because when we talk, and it doesn't matter with whom, whether they are supporters of the ruling party or the opposition, we face exactly the same problems. That is why we need a strong president today” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, KO's presidential candidate and the Mayor of Warsaw, in Radom.

„Today I met with generals who built the strength and security of our country. Their diagnosis of what is happening today was staggering. I promise you that we will take security issues out of political disputes. Security and the military cannot be politicized. I promise that I will conduct a national security audit so that we can find out exactly what the situation is, that we will strengthen our presence in the North Atlantic Alliance, that we will find the money for it, that the Territorial Defence Force (WOT) will be maintained, because today we need these mechanisms that strengthen our security” - said in Radom the Civic Coalition's (KO) presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski.

„The chaos that [Antoni Macierewicz] introduced, the politicization, the lack of respect for the military and people who have sometimes spent their entire lives working in it, the appointment of completely unsuitable individuals, and the weakening of our state. For this, there must be accountability. That is why I declare that if you grant me your trust, if I become President of the Republic of Poland, Minister Macierewicz must stand before the State Tribunal” - said Rafał Trzaskowski, candidate for President from the Civic Coalition (KO) and Mayor of Warsaw, in Radom.

- I was reminded of a statement by one of my rivals, a counter-candidate, and formerly a minister in the governments of Donald Tusk and then Ewa Kopacz, Rafał Trzaskowski, who said in July 2015 that he hoped there would be no actions such as lowering the retirement age, because it would ruin the great modernization they had achieved in Poland. I must say, I wonder what world these people live in, where they come from, how can they approach their compatriots and their matters with such, I don't know, mockery. Poles were protesting. Didn't he hear them then? Poles were crying out against the raising of the retirement age. Didn't his boss, Donald Tusk, in 2011, looking straight into the camera, promise that there would be no raising of the retirement age? And what happened? And then, right after the elections, they raised the retirement age despite the protests - stated President Andrzej Duda in Ciechanów.

- I hope that thanks to good policy, seniors will also receive the 14th pension, which the Prime Minister announced, and I promise you that I will ensure it, so that in addition to the 13th, there will also be a 14th payment, as he promised - stated President Andrzej Duda in Ciechanów.

- I want it to be a strong Poland. And what has always been Poland's greatest strength? Well, Poland's greatest strength has always been our tradition, our culture, our language. Where was it all always located? In the family. It's all about family, which is why I treat family in a special way, which is why I prepared and presented the Family Charter, as a fundamental, I can confidently say, political manifesto or an element of this great political manifesto, which is important to me and which I want to be protected and developed.
