- I've been in Lower Silesia since yesterday, in Wałbrzych, and now in Jelenia Góra. We talked primarily about the problems of the tourism industry and spas. Cieplice, Świeradów-Zdrój, and other spas in Lower Silesia have been left to their own devices. There is no rational plan for reopening spas, which affects entire municipalities. Some are close to bankruptcy or facing liquidity problems. These municipalities that rely heavily on tourism or specifically on spas. Exactly the same, you remember, we said in West Pomerania, and today a clear, rational plan for reopening spas and assisting the tourism industry is necessary. This is an absolute foundation today, that's what we're discussing, and it's also our appeal to the rulers - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Jelenia Góra.

Trzaskowski:
They thought collecting signatures for five days would be a problem. The authorities have prepared a huge festival of engagement for us.
- They thought that if we collected signatures for five days, just for five days, we would have a problem. But the authorities have prepared a huge festival of engagement, responsibility, and above all, they have organized a festival of great energy for us, which you can feel here in Lower Silesia wherever you go - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Jelenia Góra.

Trzaskowski:
President Duda Agreed to Unequal Fighting Conditions. We Won't Yield Because We Are All Rebellious. When Someone Attacks Us, When They Try to Hinder Our Actions, We Become Even Stronger
- In this moment, with the last two weeks until the first round, we are asking for more, because there will surely be more obstacles thrown in our path. Unfortunately, President Andrzej Duda has agreed to unequal fighting conditions. Less money, fewer days to collect signatures, and now we certainly expect further problems, but we won't yield, because we are all rebellious. When someone attacks us, when they try to hinder our actions, we become even stronger - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Jelenia Góra.

A tweet from President Andrzej Duda has sparked considerable discussion. The President stated: "We are all equal and everyone deserves respect for their dignity. These are constitutional values. Just like marriage, as a union of a woman and a man, and family, along with the right of parents to raise children according to their own beliefs." This statement was published on Twitter on June 14, 2020.

Trzaskowski:
What have you done for all those children who were hounded, who fell victim to hatred? Marian Turski, one of our heroes, said on the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz: 'Do not be indifferent'

Trzaskowski:
Nearly a Million Lost Jobs in Poland Today, and I Ask: Why Aren't You Standing By Those Left to Themselves? What Have You Done for Those with Swiss Franc Loans, for Those Awaiting Millions of Apartments?
17:09
- We need to ask [President Duda], what have you done for those who, for some reason, cannot have children? And what have you done for all those for whom IVF is their only chance for happiness? Why did you withdraw from this program? - stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Wrocław.
17:10
Trzaskowski:
The current president says: if you elect me, nothing will change. We've had enough: of a weak president, because today we need a strong president. Today a new start is needed.
17:12
Trzaskowski:
Today the government talks about its fairy tale ideas, while we need investments right here, right now

Trzaskowski:
Where was PAD when they tried to hound teachers, when they tried to strip them of their dignity?
- Where was Mr. President [Duda] when they tried to hound teachers, when they tried to strip them of their dignity? Is there anything more important for us and for our children than modern education, good teachers? - stated Rafał Trzaskowski in Wrocław.

The upcoming week in politics marks the peak of the presidential campaign, featuring two televised debates and the final campaign weekend. All sides will undoubtedly try to leverage the scheduled Sejm and Senate sessions this week to bolster their agendas.
*****
TVP and TVN Presidential Debates. On Wednesday at 9:00 PM, Telewizja Polska's channels - TVP1 and TVP Info - will host a pre-election debate with the presidential candidates. It will last 70 minutes and will be organized with all necessary safety measures due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The debate organized by TVN is most likely to take place on Friday.
PMM on Estonian CIT. Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki will participate in the Government Crisis Management Team on Monday. A press conference regarding the so-called Estonian CIT is planned for Tuesday or Wednesday. On Thursday, the head of the Polish government will attend the Eastern Partnership summit via video link, and on Friday, a video conference of EU leaders. He is expected to continue his tour of the country over the weekend.
PAD on the Road. President Andrzej Duda's meetings with voters on Monday will take place at 11:45 AM in Lublin and 1:30 PM in Ryki. Further campaign activities of the head of state are unknown. It is possible that the President will appear again this week at NATO's Defender maneuvers.
Trzaskowski Also on the Road. On Tuesday, Rafał Trzaskowski will travel to Radom, where he will - as is customary - appear with the city's host, who in this city is the popular young politician from Platforma, Radosław Witkowski. Over the weekend, after the debates, he might be in Masuria, where, as every week, he will conclude his tour with a large rally on Sunday. Our contacts in the KO candidate's campaign emphasize that the situation is dynamic due to the planned election debates this week.
Hołownia on Church-State Separation. We have heard that on Tuesday in Toruń, Szymon Hołownia will present his concept for the separation of state from the Church. For several months, one of his four main campaign postulates has been "Church and power in their places." - "At meetings with voters, this topic receives the greatest favor and ovations. Hołownia clearly knows how to talk about it credibly, reaching both believing and non-believing voters. The time has come for this separation of state from the Church to be carried out by a non-partisan president, a Catholic, not an anti-clerical politician warring with religion," say campaign staff.
Biedroń on Privatization Law. On Monday at 9:00 AM, Robert Biedroń will hold a press conference concerning the privatization law. On Tuesday, the Lewica candidate will travel to the Świętokrzyskie Voivodeship, and on Thursday to the Kujawsko-Pomorskie Voivodeship. A trip around the Mazowieckie Voivodeship is planned for Friday, and a campaign convention is scheduled for Saturday, most likely in Warsaw. Our contacts in the campaign note that this will be a very intensive campaign, with over a dozen hours on the road every day.
WKK Event in Southern Poland. Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz plans visits to the Silesian, Mazovian, and West Pomeranian Voivodeships in the coming week, as well as - as his campaign staff announce - an important event of this campaign on Saturday in southern Poland.
Senate Session. On Wednesday at 11:00 AM, a two-day Senate session will begin. The upper house will consider, among other things, the act on subsidies for interest on bank loans granted to ensure financial liquidity for entrepreneurs affected by the consequences of COVID-19, as well as the act on granting public aid to rescue or restructure entrepreneurs and the act establishing the suspension of the so-called stabilizing expenditure rule.
Sejm Session. On Friday at 11:00 AM, a one-day session of the Sejm will commence - at least according to current information - the last one before the presidential elections. The agenda includes, among other things, the appointment of three members of the so-called pedophilia commission, as well as information on the activities of the National Broadcasting Council, the report of the National Media Council, and information on the activities of the Office of the President for the past year. In theory, it is possible that deputies will also address another project, e.g., concerning the tourist voucher, as suggested by PiS politicians in weekend political programs - anticipating criticism of the expected "delay" by the Senate, as known from TVP ticker tapes.
European Council Video Conference. On Friday, members of the European Council will meet for a video conference. EU leaders will discuss the recovery fund, which is a response to the coronavirus crisis, and the multiannual EU budget. The focus of the discussion will be the new recovery instrument project and the multiannual financial framework 2021–2027 presented by the European Commission.
