07:56

Gowin:

I Saved What Should Be the Highest Value for Every Democratic Politician – Fair, Constitutional Elections
I saved what should be the highest value for every democratic politician, namely fair, constitutional elections. The outcome will be decided by Poles. All of us politicians in the United Right should now dedicate every day to participating in President Duda's campaign. In recent days, I have visited a dozen or so towns in several voivodeships. Today I am also going to the Lublin Voivodeship, and it will be like this until June 26, and then probably until July 10 - stated Jarosław Gowin in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:06

Gowin:

I Don't Know If Kaczyński Defines Himself as a Conservative

- I am a conservative. Conservatives are attached not only to certain traditional values, but they are also attached to certain forms and a certain way of political action, a way focused on evolutionary, not revolutionary, action, on seeking compromise, and the method for practicing conservative politics is dialogue. I don't know if President Kaczyński defines himself as a conservative. I don't have that impression; his political patron is Józef Piłsudski, about whom one can say many good things, but certainly not that he was a conservative – stated Jarosław Gowin in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:15

Gowin:

It's obvious to me this race will be difficult and close. Therefore, all hands on deck
I would like to remind you that in some pre-epidemic polls, Marshal Kidawa-Błońska had results starting from three, meaning over 30%. It was indisputable that at the moment when the epidemic allows for relatively normal elections, the stakes for at least two, and now two main candidates, would be very balanced. However, please also pay attention to a certain paradoxical inequality of chances. All competitors were running a 400-meter race, and when they reached the finish line, it turned out that the judges, meaning the circumstances, had changed this race to 800 meters, and at the same time, a new competitor, Rafał Trzaskowski, entered the track – fresh, well-rested, with ideas that inevitably seemed interesting to the public opinion. And it is obvious to me that this competition will be difficult and balanced. Therefore, all hands on deck, stated Jarosław Gowin in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

08:23

Gowin:

I'd Cut Off My Hand for Łukasz Szumowski's Honesty

- I would cut off my hand for Łukasz Szumowski's honesty. I have no doubts about it, not the slightest basis. It's not my place to issue certificates of morality to people I don't know at all [Łukasz Szumowski's brother]. I can say that twice, in April 2016 and spring 2018, I filed reports to the Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA), notifications about the possibility of a crime being committed when awarding grants. Among those questionable grants, companies appeared that – as it turned out – were connected with Marcin Szumowski, but it is up to the CBA, the prosecutor's office, and then perhaps the court to decide whether the law was broken, and if so, who is responsible for it - stated Jarosław Gowin in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

08:33

Dworczyk:

Coronavirus Remains a Problem, Yet Some Poles Behave as if it Has Completely Disappeared

Unfortunately, at times, one can get the impression that we are forgetting that the epidemic, or rather the pandemic, as the problem affects the entire world, is still ongoing. New infections occur every day. The growth dynamics have been brought under control. The healthcare system is coping with the illnesses. Nevertheless, this disease remains a problem, and some Poles are behaving as if the problem has completely disappeared,” said the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Minister Michał Dworczyk, on Jedynka radio.

08:35

Fogiel:

President Duda Collected as Many Signatures as Two Civic Platform Candidates Combined

- For a large political party that has structures throughout the country, it wasn't a huge challenge [to collect signatures]. I understand that Rafał Trzaskowski's team treated this task as a mobilization for their electorate, hence this approach: we managed, success. But I repeat, President Andrzej Duda collected as many signatures as two Civic Platform candidates combined - said Radosław Fogiel in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on "Salon polityczny" on Polish Radio Trójka.

08:39

Dworczyk on Return of Restrictions: I Wouldn't Want to Speculate Today. We'll See How This Disease Develops

"The Prime Minister and the Minister of Health have said that if the situation deteriorates, if there are such indications, certain restrictions may return. I wouldn't want to speculate today. We'll see how this disease develops" - said the Head of the Chancellery of the Prime Minister, Minister Michał Dworczyk, on Jedynka radio.

08:40

Fogiel on the TVP Debate of June 17th: The President Intends to Participate in the Debate

As far as I know, the President intends to participate in the debate. He emphasized this five years ago when Bronisław Komorowski refused to participate in the debate before the first round – said Radosław Fogiel on Radio Trójka.

08:46

Fogiel on President's Statement about "Communists" in the Supreme Court: It's an Opinion the President Expressed, But That's What Dialogue Entails

– Yesterday, during a meeting, we had a situation where someone was shouting critical remarks at the President. The President approached and engaged with that discussion – Radosław Fogiel said on Radio Trójka.

– Well, he engaged quite sharply, speaking of communists in the Supreme Court – Beata Michniewicz noted.

– Well, that is an opinion the President expressed, but that's what dialogue entails. We share opinions – Fogiel replied.

08:54

Fogiel:

The current tax-free allowance is 8,000 PLN for the lowest earners, and the discussion has always focused on the economically disadvantaged, which this 8,000 PLN achieves.

- It is worth clarifying certain false statements circulating in public opinion. Regarding the tax-free allowance, well... - said Radosław Fogiel on Polskie Radio Program III.

- A bill was submitted - interrupted Beata Michniewicz.

- But excuse me, Madam Editor. The current tax-free allowance is 8,000 PLN for the lowest earners, and the discussion about the tax-free allowance has always primarily concerned the economically most disadvantaged, and this 8,000 PLN has been achieved - Fogiel replied.

Civic Coalition to Unveil "PiS Corruption Alley" in Warsaw City Center Today
The Civic Coalition will today unveil and make accessible for viewing - "PiS Corruption Alley," which will be located in the center of Warsaw - 300POLITYKA has learned. The opening of the mobile exhibition is scheduled to take place around noon. These types of exhibitions are a common element of most campaigns; this time, Civic Platform is the first to present such an initiative.

09:09

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

It's Not True That Only Duda Guarantees a Way Out of Health or Economic Crisis. On the Contrary, He Lacks His Own Ideas, His Own Will, He's a Subcontractor.

- I am aware that the choice of extremes on the other side, an option that has been fighting the current government for years, does not guarantee cooperation, and Rafał Trzaskowski is not a guarantor of cooperation or reconciliation. But it is not true that only Andrzej Duda is a guarantor of the possibility of overcoming the health or economic crisis. On the contrary, he lacks his own ideas, his own will, he is a subcontractor. Only I am a candidate who has experience and the ability to seek agreement – said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Konin.

09:25

Trzaskowski:

PiS Organized This Festival for Us, Because They Gave Us Only a Few Days and Caused Massive Mobilization of All Citizens
- PiS organized this festival for us, because they gave us only a few days and caused massive mobilization of all citizens, over 1 million 600 thousand signatures. There will probably be more. They also gave us only half of the budget for conducting the campaign compared to other candidates, and I hope this will also unleash total mobilization, and I ask for this from everyone. Listen, the more of these kinds of tricks there are, the greater the mobilization and help from all of you is needed - stated Rafał Trzaskowski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

09:43

Trzaskowski:

I Fulfilled Many of My Promises

- That is the narrative of those governing [about unfulfilled promises], because I have fulfilled many of my promises. Free nurseries, the largest tenders and the purchase of emission-free buses, another 6 metro stations – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in the 'Piasecki Conversation' on TVN24.

- We fulfilled many promises in just a year and a half. Secondly, these promises were planned for 5 years, and some, like certain metro lines, even for 10 years. Thirdly, you know well what local government budgets look like, because the government decided to take our money a year ago. All local governments are in an incredibly difficult situation – he continued.

09:52

Trzaskowski:

Let's Talk About PAD's Unfulfilled Promises, Help for Swiss Franc Borrowers, and Tax-Free Allowances. Why Are These Promises Not Fulfilled? Because the President's Political Backing Completely Disregards Him.

- If we're talking about a strong president, then in the history of Poland, a strong president has never been needed as much as today, to keep a close eye on those in power. If you ask about unfulfilled promises, let's talk about President Duda's unfulfilled promises, about help for Swiss franc borrowers, about issues related to the tax-free allowance. Why are all these promises not being fulfilled? Because, quite simply, President Duda's political backing completely disregards him - stated Rafał Trzaskowski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

09:59

Trzaskowski:

It's Clear Kaczyński is Completely Losing Control of His Party if He Has to Resort to Writing Letters

- Fear, fear, and more fear. Above all, it's evident that Jarosław Kaczyński is completely losing control of his party if he has to resort to writing letters. But speaking quite seriously, at the very beginning, I said that this is not a fight with Andrzej Duda. This is a fight precisely with Jarosław Kaczyński. Because Kaczyński makes all the decisions. He is intimidating right now, manipulating, and trying to mobilize people by writing letters – stated Rafał Trzaskowski in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

Magdalena Pietrzak: In My Opinion, There Is No Threat of Elections Not Taking Place

- She does not assume that [the elections on June 28] will not take place. We have an ordinance from the Marshal, we have an election calendar, all the days with specific activities. We are carrying them out on an ongoing basis - Magdalena Pietrzak said in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski in "Sedno sprawy" on Radio Plus.

- In my opinion, there is no threat [of elections not taking place] - she added.

10:56

Trzaskowski:

I Appeal to All TV Stations and Campaigns for an Agreement and the Organization of a Single Debate Before the First Round

Today I am calling on all my contenders to a debate. President Andrzej Duda does not answer any questions from independent journalists, and that is why it is very important to me that there is no more staged event, but a real debate, a real conversation between the candidates. Therefore, I propose one debate and appeal to all television stations for an agreement, and to all campaigns for an agreement, so that there is one debate in the first round, prepared by television stations, in which candidates will answer questions from all editorial offices, but will also be able to ask each other questions. Enough of smooth phrases delivered by the contenders. Today, Polish women and men have the right to get to know the views and opinions of all candidates. Such a debate should take place in the coming weeks” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, KO’s presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, at a press conference.

10:56

Trzaskowski Proposes a Brand New Format: The Presidential Arena Where All Candidates Will Answer Questions from 10 Editorial Offices

I am also proposing a completely new format – the presidential arena. A format that hasn't existed in Poland yet, where all candidates will answer three questions from each of 10 editorial offices – from left to right. Thanks to this presidential arena format, we will be able to learn the true views of all candidates. No more avoiding questions, no more reciting worn-out platitudes. The point is for us to finally be able to ask ourselves questions and for this debate to take place under new rules” – said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition candidate for president and Mayor of Warsaw, at a press conference.

10:57

Trzaskowski:

If Elected President, I Promise Monthly Press Conferences Answering All Journalists' Questions

"If Poles trust me and I am elected President of the Republic, I promise that once a month I will organize a press conference where I will answer all journalists' questions, not like President Duda who answers questions from friendly journalists" - stated Rafał Trzaskowski, candidate for President from Civic Coalition (KO) and Mayor of Warsaw, during a press conference.

11:01

Trzaskowski on Kaczyński's words about a 'moral crisis' if PAD loses: And this is said by someone who calls Poles 'rabble'
'A moral crisis – and this is said by someone who calls Poles 'rabble'. I have one plea. I understand that today Jarosław Kaczyński, because he is actually my true opponent, has fallen into a panic because he has to write these types of letters. I have a request, not to divide Poles again. I assure Kaczyński that his family is just as important as the families of all Poles, including mine. Enough of this language, enough of manipulation' – said Rafał Trzaskowski, KO's presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, at a press conference.

11:10

President Duda Presents the Family Charter: "For Every State, the Family is the Foundation of its Existence, It Creates, Builds Society, and Without Society, the State Does Not Exist"

- Moments ago, as parents themselves, they asked me for one thing. They asked me for policies that support families in our country, policies that affirm families in our country, one could boldly say, policies that align with the Polish constitution, especially with what is stated in Article 18, where the family is indicated as, alongside marriage as a union of a man and a woman, alongside motherhood and parenthood, one of those institutions that are under the protection, special care of the state - said President Andrzej Duda.

- If we look at this more deeply and even detach ourselves from this constitutional layer, it is obvious that for every state, the family is the foundation of its existence, because the family creates, builds society, and without society, the state does not exist - the president added.

Biedroń:

If I Become President, I Will Restore Acquired Rights for All Uniformed Services

If I become president, I will restore acquired rights for all uniformed services, for all the heroic defenders of our homeland, for all those who have sacrificed and continue to sacrifice their lives, along with their families, to guard our security. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, which is the president, must care for the dignity of the soldier, must care for his pride, livelihood, fate, and future security. Andrzej Duda has chickened out on this matter, he has proven to be a weak president. He has proven to be a president who has betrayed his soldiers” – stated the Left candidate for president, MEP Robert Biedroń, at a press conference in Kłodzko.

12:36

Civic Coalition Files No-Confidence Motions Against Justice Minister and Coordinator of Special Services

- Today, formally, in line with the announcements made by the leaders of Civic Coalition, we are submitting two no-confidence motions. Against two ministers of this government, two pillars of the PiS system that has been in place for almost five years - stated Marcin Kierwiński at a press briefing in the Sejm, announcing the motions for the dismissal of Zbigniew Ziobro and Mariusz Kamiński.

- The PiS government is a government that very meticulously and scrupulously defends its own, that very readily sweeps scandals under the rug to the point where the rug is already full of various kinds of unaddressed scandals, and is very reluctant to deal with matters concerning actual crimes. This case of Igor Stachowiak, when they wanted individuals who committed this terrible act against the late Igor Stachowiak to be held responsible for negligent homicide, and the fact that the prosecutor's office did nothing about it, shows that in a state governed by PiS, there is no will to account for scandals, for scandals committed under the rule of this government or by individuals associated with this government. This white flag, which is flying over the Presidential Palace, this white flag, which is flying over the Ministry of Interior and the Prosecutor General, the Minister of Justice, is very, very characteristic. When it comes to defending their own, all these institutions, including President Duda, are very effective in preventing further scandals from reaching public opinion. And when they do reach it, thanks to you, the media, they are very meticulously swept under the rug. But when it is necessary to react, to speak out, on a matter like the death of Igor Stachowiak, about which his father wrote yesterday, the PiS government and President Duda remain silent. This is a government that is blind to the problems of ordinary citizens, to justice, to the law. Although all these gentlemen we are talking about come from a party that was once accidentally named Law and Justice, they have little in common with either law or justice - he continued.

13:08

Terlecki on Kaczyński's Letter: We Must Mobilize Before the Elections
We must mobilize before the elections. There isn't much time left, so this is the final sprint - stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with journalists in the Sejm, commenting on Jarosław Kaczyński's letter to PiS members. - This just shows our strong, confident position in these elections. The alert concerns the general situation, in every respect, including the economic one. We must emerge from the economic crisis that arose as a result of the pandemic, and all forecasts show that we will come out of it very well - the head of the PiS parliamentary club continued.

13:42

Budka:

Today, Poland, as a result of the actions of the President and Chairman Kaczyński, is plunged into a huge crisis – not only political but also moral

Jarosław Kaczyński writes in his letter to members about a possible moral and political crisis if there is a change of president. Today, Poland, as a result of the actions of the President and Chairman Kaczyński, is plunged into a huge crisis – not only political but also moral. It is at the highest levels of this government that nepotism, corruption, and immense incompetence occur. Today, in Silesia, all the problems generated by this government are concentrated like in a lens. Today, Poland needs a strong president who will control the government and keep an eye on them,” said PO chairman Borys Budka in Silesia.

13:45

Budka:

Sasin focused on preparing envelope elections instead of supervising Polish mining, while more mines became infection hotspots due to the government's delayed action

Minister Jacek Sasin, instead of supervising Polish mining, busied himself with preparing envelope elections, which never took place and for which over PLN 70 million of Polish taxpayers' money was spent. Meanwhile, more mines became centers of further infections. More mines became infection hotspots because the authorities did not act in time” – said PO chairman Borys Budka in Silesia.

Paulina Kosiniak-Kamysz at Proszowice Hospital: District Hospitals are Crucial Facilities. Today We Brought You Disinfectants

- I am extremely pleased that we are in Proszowice today, at a district hospital. Thank you very much for welcoming us. These are extremely important facilities, operating for local Poland. I am extremely pleased that your hospital has an infectious diseases ward, which is now extremely needed - said Paulina Kosiniak-Kamysz in front of the hospital in Proszowice.

- We must all support each other and I am also counting on the help of further entrepreneurs, people of good will, who will be helping. Today we brought you disinfectants - she added.

Civic Coalition Opens "Museum of PiS Scandals" in Front of the Presidential Palace: Pomaska States "Five Years of PiS Rule Means Five Years of Scandals"

The time for summaries always comes. Five years of PiS rule have recently passed, and they should be summarized today. After these 5 years, we see what is happening. Today, we are opening the Museum of PiS Scandals, which is the best summary of what has happened in Poland over the past 5 years, but also of what has not happened. All the PiS scandals that you can see at the exhibition share one thing. They all have a common denominator. All the scandals are connected by the fact that none of them have been explained, that the most important people in the state have not spoken out on the matter of these scandals. In none of these cases has the prosecution dealt with them thoroughly and properly. We hope that the Museum of PiS Scandals will be the proper, most appropriate way to show Poles what we are dealing with today. 5 years of PiS rule means 5 years of PiS scandals” - said Agnieszka Pomaska from the Civic Coalition at a press conference in front of the Presidential Palace.

Each exhibition displays some form of art. The art that we want to show, which PiS has mastered to perfection over these 5 years, is the art of scandals, of taking public money. There have been dozens, hundreds of these scandals. Here we are showing only a dozen or so of them. There are scandals concerning nepotism, there is the Misiewicz scandal, there are scandals concerning party cronyism, the Sasin scandal, there are scandals concerning a lack of transparency, there is the Morawiecki's wealth scandal, there are scandals concerning corruption, abuse of influence” - added Adam Szłapka, the leader of Nowoczesna, from the Civic Coalition.

14:06

Biedroń:

Poland Needs a Grand Reconstruction Plan. Funds Are Available. Those Who Understand and Love Europe Will Access Them, and the Left Is Part of Europe.

- For Wałbrzych today, the government must present a special offer, a special plan that will stabilize the situation and fix everything that needs fixing. I read with horror in local news when President Rachwalski from Aqua-Zdrój says it's time to turn off the lights. This is sad news for Wałbrzych, for its industry, for its infrastructure. Only 100 people might lose their jobs in this company. The first layoffs have already begun. The same is happening at the porcelain factory. Today, we are already facing the first crises, and the state cannot leave people to face them alone. That's why I am here to say clearly and unequivocally. I want to be the manager of towns like this, just as I was in Słupsk. I want to be an advocate for your cause. I want to fight for Wałbrzych's interests, and I hope we will do this together - stated Robert Biedroń at a press briefing in Wałbrzych.

- Poland today needs a grand reconstruction plan, a plan that I presented a few days ago. The funds are available. PLN 280 billion from the great Marshall Plan for Europe. These are funds that are in Europe today, and PiS will not access them, because today it is completely marginalized in Europe. Those who understand Europe, who love Europe, who are in Europe, will access them, and the Left is in Europe, because it has always been there. It was the Left that brought Poland into the EU, into NATO, and it was the Left that gave Poland the European Constitution, so today it is the Left that proposes a grand reconstruction plan - he continued.

14:13

Hołownia:

It is humiliating that we have a Commander-in-Chief playing distributor of discounted fuel cards, thinking he can buy the favor of WOT soldiers
- It is humiliating that we have a Commander-in-Chief today who publicly plays at being a distributor of discounted fuel cards for one of the petrol station chains, thinking that he can buy the favor of WOT soldiers this way - said Szymon Hołownia in Żagań.

14:14

Biedroń to the President: "You Swore to Serve the Entire Polish Society. Why Are You Breaking That Oath, Why Are You Dividing Poles? Do You Want to Set Poland Ablaze Again?"
I would like to appeal to my colleagues running in this presidential election. Stop dividing people. Stop treating us as a lesser and better sort. Because we are all Poles. We all love the Constitution, we all get goosebumps when our national anthem plays. We are proud to carry a Polish passport and Polish ID. We are proud that our capital is Warsaw, and that Poland is diverse. And when I hear President Duda, who today is signing the so-called family declaration, a radical document that divides Polish society, introducing standards reminiscent of the most brutal, brown, black times in Poland's and Europe's history, I am overwhelmed with horror that someone like that might become President of Poland again. Mr. President, you swore an oath that you would always stand in the interest of the entire Polish society. Why are you breaking that oath, why are you dividing Polish society? Do you want to set Poland ablaze again? Today, 30% of our Poland is already covered by the zones you want to introduce today. Today, Poles are divided like never before. Why are you doing this? Who does it serve? In whose interest are you acting? It is certainly not in the interest of Polish men and women, the Republic of Poland – stated Robert Biedroń at a press briefing in Wałbrzych.

14:14

Hołownia:

I will appoint former presidents to the National Security Council, including, I hope soon, President Duda

- The National Security Council. This mechanism, which is so neglected by successive presidents, so rarely used. And it is a wonderful forum for us to discuss our national security in a broad group. Those who govern now and those who are in opposition. I announced that I will also appoint former presidents to the National Security Council, including, I hope soon, former President Andrzej Duda - said Szymon Hołownia in Żagań.

14:18

Biedroń:

I Will Participate in All Media-Organized Debates. It Cannot Be That Only One Debate Takes Place. I Encourage and Appeal to All Presidential Candidates: Let's Hold as Many Debates as Possible

- I would also like to appeal to the Civic Platform candidate, who said that only one debate should be organized. One debate is enough for him to talk about all the problems of Poles. Do you hear that? People say: there is no such option. Today, the standard is that we introduce dialogue into public life. That we simply talk to each other. If you cannot talk, if you are afraid of dialogue, then leave politics alone. Because people want to talk. Because people want to hear what you have to say to them. Therefore, from my side, I would like to declare: I will participate in all debates organized by the media. It cannot be that only one debate takes place. If you are scared, then leave. But there are many topics to discuss, your omissions, your mistakes. That is why I encourage and appeal to all presidential candidates: let's hold as many debates as possible - stated Robert Biedroń at a press briefing in Wałbrzych.

Do You Want Poland Without the 500+ Program, with a Retirement Age of 67, Same-Sex Marriages, and Same-Sex Couples Adopting Children?

Trzaskowski:

We Won't Let a Single Vote Be Stolen. We Want to Form a Coalition to Oversee the Election Process
  • The ruling party tried to throw obstacles in our way. When we were collecting signatures, they gave us only half of the budget allocated to other candidates. Therefore, firstly, enormous mobilization is needed, help from all sides is needed, but we are also receiving various signals that we might be dealing with further obstacles being thrown our way. We will not allow a single vote to be stolen. Therefore, it is better to adopt the strategy of 'trust but verify,' although it is sometimes difficult to trust this government. And that is precisely why we want to form such a coalition to oversee the election process. So that we have absolute certainty that these elections will be fully democratic and that nothing unforeseen will happen. We have various signals concerning postal voting, restrictions on the rights of Poles living abroad, and also signals concerning the elections here in Poland, and in connection with this, we are forming this coalition – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Łazy.

- We have made a decision regarding the borders. So far, we have said that the borders will be closed until Friday, until June 12 inclusive. Meanwhile, from June 13, we have decided to open the borders to EU countries. As it was before. In some countries around the world, especially in Latin America, but also in North America, there are still high levels of infections and deaths, and it is visible that the pandemic is still behaving in a very, very worrying way there. Therefore, for now, we are limiting this decision to EU countries - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

- From June 16, flights will be possible, although it is known that carriers will have to adjust, and they will probably need a week, two, or three to prepare their network of connections for operational matters - PMM continued.

PMM:

Thank You to Prime Minister Belka for Such a Positive Assessment of Our Financial Shield

- First and foremost, I thank Prime Minister Belka very much for such a positive assessment of our financial shield. It is rare for one of the highest, more senior opposition politicians to approach economic moves so openly, very positively, and simply to objectively evaluate what has been achieved, how the Polish economy has been saved - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

16:16

Morawiecki:

WHO Damaged Its Authority, Especially in Early Pandemic Months

- There is no doubt that the World Health Organization has damaged its authority, especially in the first months of the pandemic. Various recommendations and restrictions were announced too late, and therefore I believe that trust in the World Health Organization worldwide has been, to put it mildly, undermined - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

Morawiecki:

Trzaskowski and Rabiej Implement Their 'Rabiej-Trzaskowski Plan,' Influenced by LGBT Recommendations; We Protect the Family.

All recommendations concerning the sexualization of young children, I encourage all of you to read some of these recommendations, because they are truly absolutely crazy and do not align with how children should be raised. Of course, not all of them, but very many of them. And unfortunately, Mr. Trzaskowski and Mr. Rabiej are implementing their 'Rabiej-Trzaskowski plan,' based, among other things, on what various LGBT environments recommend in this regard. But we are definitively against ideological and worldview experiments, and that is why we protect the family. We say that children should be raised within a family, and this is the social model we are committed to – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

Duda:

Part of my presidential bid is to better protect the family, including from ideologies hostile to it

Among other things, I am running for president so that the family can be protected even better, even more comprehensively, including through protection against ideologies that are hostile to the family, that want to change, to distort the traditional family, that want to build a different world, a world contrary to our traditions, contrary to what we grew up with, contrary to where we were born” - said President Andrzej Duda, who is running for re-election, in Wieluń.

19:03

Duda:

If We Can Afford to Give Polish Entrepreneurs a Billion Zloty a Day to Save Jobs, We Can Also Afford to Implement Investment Plans

"I have no doubts that we can afford it. If we are able to manage to transfer a billion zloty a day to Polish entrepreneurs today to save jobs, then we can also afford to implement these investments, and we will do it for Poland's development. But I am asking for your support, because all these grand investment plans, plans that are meant to bring us economic prosperity, that are ultimately meant to bring us economic development, higher salaries, jobs, modern industry - everything that is so necessary for us in Poland - is happening right now," said President Andrzej Duda, who is running for re-election, in Wieluń.

Dworczyk:

Trzaskowski Has Unbelievable Eyes. Today, Warsaw Residents Can Justifiably Feel Cheated, As He's Fulfilled Only a Few Out of Over 50 Promises

- Rafał Trzaskowski has unbelievable eyes, primarily because if we look at the promises he made during his election campaign, then today Warsaw residents can justifiably feel cheated, as he has fulfilled only a few out of over 50 promises. And I think it's similar with the promises he's making in the presidential campaign. There's little reason to believe they will be fulfilled - stated Michał Dworczyk in an interview with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

19:52

Dworczyk:

Trzaskowski is a mirrored image. Meaning, out of over 50 promises, only a few fulfilled. How can we trust him today?

- [President Duda] has his most important promises fulfilled, and everyone remembers the lowering of the retirement age, 500+, and a number of other commitments. In contrast, Rafał Trzaskowski is a mirrored image. Meaning, out of over 50 promises, only a few fulfilled. How can we trust him today? - stated Michał Dworczyk on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń" (Guest of Events).

19:56

Dworczyk:

No one wants to divide Poles. We want Poland to be united and solidary. PAD Signs Family Charter, Trzaskowski Was Co-Author of LGBT Charter. Everyone Has Their Priorities

- No one wants to divide Poles. We, along with President Duda, want Poland to be a solidary, united Poland. However, it is worth facing the truth. Everyone has their priorities. There is nothing to be ashamed of about them. Andrzej Duda is signing the Family Charter and speaking about the values that are important to him and will be important during his presidency. Rafał Trzaskowski, on the other hand, was a co-author or, at best, accepted and signed the LGBT charter. Everyone has their priorities, and there is nothing extraordinary in talking about it - stated Michał Dworczyk on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

Bielan:

The President is clear: I will veto any law introducing so-called same-sex marriages, and we know this is the plan in Warsaw City Hall
- I will recall this constitutional provision, Article 18, which clearly defines marriage as a union of a woman and a man, and the President is clear: I will veto any law that introduces so-called same-sex marriages, meaning homosexual marriages, and we know this is the plan in Warsaw City Hall. Paweł Rabiej, Rafał Trzaskowski's closest associate, the Deputy Mayor of Warsaw, spoke some time ago about so-called staging, meaning the slow acclimatization of Poles, by first introducing registered partnerships, then so-called homosexual marriages, and this is ultimately to end with the adoption of children by these so-called homosexual marriages - said Adam Bielan in a conversation with Danuta Holecka on the TVP Info program "Gość Wiadomości".

Without grassroots action in all Polish counties, we might simply lose these elections. Facing us is a perfectly organized hate machine, financed by politicians linked to Civic Platform.

- Without such grassroots action in all Polish counties, in every corner of Poland, we might simply not win these elections. Facing us is a perfectly organized hate machine, financed by politicians linked to Civic Platform. If we don't counter this with a genuine civic movement, victory will be very difficult - said Adam Bielan on TVP Info.

Trzaskowski's Team Plans Social Media Blitz Highlighting Duda's Unfulfilled Promises, Countering Mega-Investments with Local Projects
Rafał Trzaskowski's campaign strategists are developing a counter-narrative to the "Duda Plan," which focuses on major investments like the Central Communication Port (CPK), promising hundreds, or as PiS claimed in a recent ad, a million new jobs. Internal Civic Coalition (KO) polls, conducted by Kantar and published by Fakty TVN, reveal that only 20% of respondents agree with the ruling camp's politicians and favor several large central investments. In contrast, a significant 67% desire more local investments, a platform promoted by Civic Platform. Trzaskowski's team believes the debate over investments is advantageous for them, as the clear sentiment of the majority surveyed leans towards the "local" narrative championed by the KO candidate. - PiS has fallen into a trap. They took up Rafał's (Trzaskowski's) theme of reallocating funds from massive investments in behemoths to smaller, more locally relevant projects, believing it to be their political golden fleece. This is not the case. The polls confirm our initial intuition that people see that no major investment has materialized under this government and they don't believe in pumping money into these phantom behemoths - a key strategist for Rafał Trzaskowski tells us. Agnieszka Pomaska, Cezary Tomczyk, Michał Gramatyka, and other KO MPs closely associated with Rafał Trzaskowski will be publishing clips on their social media accounts showcasing locations that, in 2015, served as backdrops for the then-aspiring PiS politicians' narrative of "Poland in ruins" and "a state in decline." Their aim is to trigger a wave of retweets and further sharing of videos that can capture the interest of local communities. - It was here that Beata Szydło, in July 2015, promised that the train station in Kłobuck would be transformed - says Cezary Tomczyk in the first spot, published a few days ago. "Places like Kłobuck, like this provincial Poland, will become centers where people will want to live," - the clip shows archival footage of Szydło from a press conference at the phantom Kłobuck station in 2015. - I don't see any train leaving from this place. Everything is locked up. Unfortunately, this is what Andrzej Duda's program looks like, which he signed on the platform in Końskie. It's a mockery of promises; everyone can draw their own conclusions. The covered-up clock is a symbol of this - says Tomczyk. - I believe a time will come when children from colonies will arrive at this station - Beata Szydło said in July 2015. https://youtu.be/8EKRIAoQO4g - Before the 2015 elections, Andrzej Duda promised - says Agnieszka Pomaska, who narrates the clip about Tczew: "Everyone knows that a district cannot organize this investment on its own; it is the role of central authorities." - Today, we are calling him to account: Andrzej Duda says he has nothing to do with the bridge and has no influence over it - states Pomaska, showing the response local urban activists from Tczew received from the Presidential Chancellery in May this year regarding the fate of Duda's promise. https://youtu.be/lpt1wwLX-8Y - It was here in 2015 that candidate Andrzej Duda promised that he would not close any Silesian mine, that the future of the mining industry lies in modernization, not liquidation - says Michał Gramatyka, a Civic Platform MP from Silesia and close associate of Borys Budka. - Katowice, KWK Wieczorek, the mine's history dates back to the 19th century, and only its captivatingly beautiful mining settlements, Giszowiec and Nikiszowiec, will remain - says Gramatyka, also listing other closed mines: KWK Krupiński, KWK Bobrek in Piekary, where 3,000 miners worked, and the last ton was extracted in January this year. - This is a matter of the future of the Polish economy. Industry needs to be modernized, not liquidated - another quote from Andrzej Duda from 2015 in the clip. - I ask how much your empty promises are worth, Mr. President Duda - Gramatyka concludes. https://youtu.be/KbE49DaGr8w - Behind me is a field, and on this field is the remuneration of the CPK management. At a time when Poles were losing their jobs, on April 10, 2020, when we were locked down and the government advised us to stay home, when employers were forced to lay off staff, the CPK supervisory board hired a fifth board member, each earning 44,000 [PLN] - says Konrad Frysztak, a Civic Platform MP from Radom, in another spot from the series. - There is nothing in the meadow behind me, and nothing will be. In the five years of PiS rule, they have not started or finished a single investment of their own authorship - says Frysztak. https://youtu.be/LxFxNs-NZmY The next spot concerns the dramatic situation at the stud farm in Janów Podlaski, illustrated by an internal note from the Ministry of Agriculture regarding the malnutrition of horses, their diseases, and unsanitary conditions. https://youtu.be/t5i3zea8Ryw

Bielan:

The President Will Be in Lower Silesia on Friday, Opole Voivodeship on Saturday, and in Małopolska and Silesia Voivodeships on Sunday

- On Friday, the President will have a very intensive program in Lower Silesia Voivodeship, then on Saturday he will be in Opole Voivodeship, and on Sunday he will be in Małopolska and Silesia Voivodeships. We see this, anyone who observes what is happening in the election campaign sees that the President practically from dawn till late night has meetings with voters. This will be the case until the last day of the campaign – said Adam Bielan on TVP Info.

Kwaśniewski:

Today, anyone who claims LGBT is our problem and makes it a main election slogan is either out of touch or deeply cynical

This is a problem entirely invented from start to finish. There is no such thing as LGBT ideology. There are LGBT communities, which do not constitute a majority in any country, not even to the slightest degree, and certainly not in Poland. We are still a very conservative society, where these communities exist and must fight for their rights because they encounter a great deal of unpleasantness, discrimination, and misunderstanding. Things have changed for the better in recent years, but PiS tries to appeal to the most conservative, intolerant elements. Today, anyone who claims that LGBT is our problem, that we must fight against LGBT ideology, and makes this their main election slogan, is either detached from reality or so cynical that they know people, without fully understanding what this LGBT ideology entails, will vote for them just in case” - said former president Aleksander Kwaśniewski in an interview with Monika Olejnik on “Kropka nad i” on TVN24.
