- I have absolute certainty that when I compare the situation in Poland over the last 3 months with the situation in richer Western European countries, in Italy, Spain, France, or Belgium, where the EP headquarters are located, I can say that in Poland, we did not have decisions of sentencing anyone to death by withholding a respirator. Therefore, I am glad that the Polish government made bold decisions. It was one of the first governments to decide to close borders and schools. These were difficult decisions, we weren't sure if they would meet with social support, but thanks to these decisions, we managed to avoid the worst. Scenes like those we saw in Italy, in Milan, or in Spain - stated Adam Bielan in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- I appeal for a bit of common sense and not to inflame emotions or moods. I understand we are in an election campaign, but such inflaming of emotions is simply irresponsible. You know perfectly well that these record numbers, as you call them, are a result of the fact that we have started mass testing of asymptomatic mine workers - stated Adam Bielan in "Piasecki's Conversation" on TVN24.

- Mr. Editor, what planet are you living on? What continent are you living on? - stated Adam Bielan in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24, in response to the assertion that today Poland's situation, compared to the EU, is worse and perhaps it's time to stop resorting to political incantations and assurances that everything is fantastic here, and bad everywhere else, because things are really going badly here today.

To the journalist's reply that he lives on planet Earth and on the European continent, the spokesperson for Andrzej Duda's campaign team responded: - It seems you live in a bubble called Trzaskowski Vision Network. Do you know the statistics regarding deaths in France, Italy, Spain? Do you remember what decisions they were forced to make due to a lack of equipment?.

- We said from the very beginning that the so-called flattening [of the infection curve], which is meant to prevent our healthcare system from becoming overwhelmed, colloquially speaking, that there would be no shortage of equipment or hospital beds, would mean that this fight would last longer. However, I am glad that we did not experience situations like in Western Europe, where doctors had to consciously make decisions that, for example, people over 70, and even in some cases over 65, were not given ventilators, thereby condemning them to death. Such situations did not occur in Poland - Bielan continued.

- I want to tell you that for weeks your television station has been publishing statements from Professor Markowski, who was urging the government precisely to close mines, so your station could decide on something. Either for weeks you've been urging the government to close mines, or when the government closes mines because it's necessary at the moment, you attack them for closing mines. I am accustomed to TVN's stance, which is capable of attacking us for everything - stated Adam Bielan in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

- Yes. Mainly large workplaces are appearing. We had a furniture factory, we had a frozen food factory, of course, we continue to have mines, and radical actions were simply necessary - replied the Minister of Health.

- I must say very firmly. I spoke with Prime Minister Sasin, who is responsible for this area. I recommended such a decision, and the Prime Minister accepted it, because we want all mines to return to work - Łukasz Szumowski said on RMF FM.

- It's not a closure in the sense of locking them up, but a crew that supports the tunnels is working underground. There are several hundred people who continue to work there - the minister added.

- The President proposed a 500 PLN voucher per child. The President didn't change anything. You are talking about the statements of one of the ministers, but it was never a government proposal. You are an experienced journalist and you know perfectly well what a government proposal means. A government proposal is a proposal that gains the acceptance of the Council of Ministers. Discussions were held in our camp on this matter. The final effect of this discussion is the president's proposal, which he put forward at the weekend, and the details of which he presented yesterday. This proposal will be sent to parliament with lightning speed. In the Sejm, where we have a majority, it will be passed, and I hope that this act, like others, will not be blocked by the Senate, which is controlled by the opposition - stated Adam Bielan in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

- Today it is still too early, in a week I think I will analyze the entire situation - said Łukasz Szumowski in RMF FM.

– I've seen Rafał Trzaskowski, TVN's darling, on your station many times, and he was never asked to account for his election promises. Please tell me, when did TVN address the scandalously high earnings in the city hall in the last two weeks? Show me the reports on TVN that dealt with this – stated Adam Bielan in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego," when asked about President Duda's promises, including those concerning raising the tax-free allowance.

“I am saddened that someone who seemed to dedicate much time to fighting for decency and justice simply ends their political career in this way. I say this with regret. These issues, concerning important matters of reprivatization, everything related to property in Warsaw, and how it proceeds, are a good topic for the debate between Rafał Trzaskowski and Andrzej Duda. Mr. Śpiewak's role in this – weak” – Grzegorz Schetyna of Civic Coalition stated in an interview with Jan Wróbel on Radio TOK FM's Morning program.

- Even you, a staunch critic of our government and president, must admit that no government before us has fulfilled its 2015 promises to such an extent. Promises that Rafał Trzaskowski, after the elections, urged us not to keep. The 500+ program, the reduction of the retirement age, the 300+ baby bonus. These are all programs that have cost enormous sums, over 40 billion annually, for the 500+ program alone. Rafał Trzaskowski called these programs 'handouts.' He claimed the economy and finances would collapse. He appealed to us to withdraw from these promises. All these promises have been fulfilled, and most importantly, the budget deficit under our government has decreased compared to, among others, Rafał Trzaskowski's government - stated Adam Bielan in TVN24's "Rozmowa Piaseckiego".

„We must very carefully observe the procedures. In addition to checking and introducing tests, and searching for and identifying infection hotspots, we must very strictly adhere to contact hygiene, also during the election campaign process and the elections themselves. Postponing the elections for a second time is a sign that the state is not functioning, not working” – said Grzegorz Schetyna of Civic Coalition on TOK FM.

- The contemporary world will be rife with various kinds of epidemics, even biological warfare. The health and lives of Poles, our compatriots, may be threatened, so a Council for Health Security must be established, composed of experts, scientists, epidemiologists, experts in health policy, and public health, so that there are no political decisions, because at a certain point we started dealing with political decisions - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz in Łowicz.

- I am very pleased that we can meet here today in Bytów, at the Wireland factory, which - as you can see - is operating. We even have some background noise here, which might slightly impede your ability to hear me clearly, but I welcome this noise with great joy because it signifies that the factory is working at full capacity, and I'm happy that this is the case. This exemplifies, on one hand, the great responsibility of Polish business, of Polish entrepreneurs, represented by the CEO present here, and on the other hand, it's an example of how support from the state has been utilized by the CEO and the company to adapt to the prevailing situation, launch new production, and most importantly, implement changes and seek support that have enabled all jobs to be preserved at these facilities. In short, no one has lost their job, and all employees remain connected with the company. Today, the company, as you can see, produces hand disinfection stations in this modern hall. This project is entirely the company's own design, 100% manufactured using Polish materials, which is immensely gratifying. This is our domestic production, and today it's a large batch of orders, another one that the company is fulfilling. Not only for the Polish market but also for foreign markets, as these stations are currently being shipped to several European countries. This is in addition to the company's regular product range. Normally, the company is involved in manufacturing furniture boards, office boards, and primarily focuses on shop fittings, producing all those shop counters, shelves, and everything else we know from shops and supermarkets – a significant portion of which is produced in Poland by Wireland - stated President Andrzej Duda in Bytów.

- Among the support provided to Wireland were precisely the funds that the company obtained in record time from PFR as part of the anti-crisis shield. Over a million zlotys that served as support to implement production changes, maintain jobs, and survive the most difficult period when the impact of the coronavirus crisis was strongest, and this element was and still is so crucial. PFR disburses one billion zlotys daily to Polish companies across our entire country. This is the aid that is reaching everywhere. This already amounts to over 46 billion zlotys that the fund itself has paid out. If we add to this the aid disbursed by ZUS, BGK, and employment offices, in total, it now exceeds 79 billion zlotys, which have been transferred to Polish companies under the anti-crisis and financial shields - he continued.

- The CEO of PFR tells me that they estimate that currently, all this global aid, provided by all public entities to companies in Poland, has saved or protected approximately 4 million jobs in our country. The fund itself has saved nearly 3 million jobs - PAD emphasized.

- Today, another support measure under the Financial Shield is being launched, specifically support for large companies. PLN 25 billion is being allocated to support large companies in our country. This aid required notification from the European Commission, so it's a project that, together with Prime Minister Morawiecki, Deputy Prime Minister Emilewicz, but most importantly with Paweł Borys and the Vice-President, we were preparing back in April. The time needed for notification was a bit longer than we expected, but the notification is here. Negotiations with the EC lasted until the last moment, but there is approval, and today this aid, PLN 25 billion, will be disbursed to large companies in the form of liquidity loans, in the form of loans that will be a kind of compensatory loans, because companies had to adapt to the prevailing conditions due to the epidemic situation, and thus incurred certain expenses related to their functioning for epidemic security, and these premium loans will serve to compensate for this. In addition, there will be a whole range of financial instruments that will be launched within this fund – stated President Andrzej Duda in Bytów.

- I have just submitted the signatures [to the National Electoral Commission]. We have already counted 1,600,000 signatures today. There will probably be more. I primarily wanted to thank everyone for this tremendous mobilization, for this fantastic energy that we saw on the streets of Polish villages, towns, and cities. There were queues everywhere, people wanted to sign, and despite the fact that the ruling party tried to throw obstacles in our way and give us only a few days to collect signatures, they unleashed an incredible energy, an incredible wave of support - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a briefing in front of the National Electoral Commission.

- These few days for collecting signatures, the fact that it was only a few days, thanks to this, the authorities provided us with a great celebration. A celebration of kindness, a celebration of smiles, of building community. I rarely thank the authorities, but this time I will. We truly thank you heartily for this - he continued.

- Poland doesn't need five energy giants. It needs 18,000 cooperatives producing energy from renewable sources. Firstly, this ensures they care for their local environment, which collectively forms the Republic, and that's already a benefit. Secondly, it's safer. Which is easier to destroy, forgive me, even if I were an invader? One power plant or two, or 18,000 cooperatives based on photovoltaics and wind turbines – said Szymon Hołownia during a press conference in Konin.

- This is Gierek-era thinking. PiS is acting like the PZPR of the 70s and 80s right now. Both in their attitude towards the state, their attitude towards the law, and in their thinking in such categories. We will build something big, grand, made of metal. They're building a grand airport now. What will they build next in 50 years? Because this will take who knows how many years to build. They are putting a noose around our necks right now, which will tighten for my daughter's generation, who will have to pay for these pharaonic ideas - said Szymon Hołownia during a press conference in Konin.

"Today, we are decisively and offensively implementing measures aimed at protecting the Polish economic market, at defending jobs, because that is what is most important – that as few people as possible in Poland lose their jobs, so that – as the Deputy President of PFR said – the specter, the demon of unemployment, which was the curse of my generation, which entered adult life in the 90s and from which very many people struggled for years to find work adequate to their expectations, professional training, and education, many of them emigrated abroad. So that this never returns, so that even in the face of a crisis situation threatening widespread unemployment, like the coronavirus crisis, we can cope. That is why, without hesitation, 79 billion zlotys have been disbursed to Polish companies in recent weeks to save jobs" – said President Andrzej Duda in Kościerzyna. 

“I want to express immense gratitude to all entrepreneurs who did not lay off a single employee, to those who availed themselves of assistance, and to those who did not need to. I thank everyone who did not dismiss people. Yes, thank you. We thank Polish entrepreneurs who approached the matter in a socially responsible, highly responsible manner,” President Andrzej Duda said in Kościerzyna. 

“I hope that from the funds that will be allocated to this tourist voucher initiative in the near future, over 3 billion zloty, nearly 4 billion, you will be able to use for tourist services. Already yesterday, various voices were raised. I smiled the most when I heard voices from the same people who complained that there are handouts in Poland, that money is being given to families, that it is being distributed, that it is a giveaway. These same people are now criticizing that it was supposed to be a thousand zloty, and now Duda says it will be 500. It will be 500 zloty per child in families raising children. Each child will have 500 zloty that parents can use for holiday recreation” – said President Andrzej Duda in Kościerzyna. 

- While the world was preoccupied with the coronavirus, international criminal groups continued their operations. A few months ago, an exceptionally complex and successful operation was carried out. An operation to detect a shipment worth three billion, three billion worth of cocaine, considering its value on the so-called retail market, which could be divided into a million doses. Behind each of these doses lie human tragedies. We've heard about the death of a 20-year-old girl who poisoned herself with novel psychoactive substances, and a 20-year-old boy and his friend are fighting for their lives. Every day we receive information about people losing their lives due to the abuse and use of various types of novel psychoactive substances and drugs, usually young people. In this action, which involved the Central Bureau of Investigation of the Police (CBŚP) and the Border Guard, it was possible to thwart a smuggling operation of immense value, a record value in Poland. What's more, it must be emphasized that the transport arrived from Ecuador to Hamburg, Germany, and those services failed to detect the drugs. We treat all such threats with the utmost seriousness. There are, of course, certain political groups that treat the state as a night watchman. They believe the state should be weak, a mere night watchman. I believe the state should stand guard over the law and citizens' rights, as well as over security. And through this thwarted smuggling operation, you can see how we ensure the security not only of Poles. A significant portion of this transport was undoubtedly also destined for Scandinavia or back to Germany, and it's worth noting the great professionalism of our services – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing.

- Previously, when we discussed the thwarted heroin transport or an earlier cocaine transport, Polish services also demonstrated greater vigilance than their Dutch or German counterparts. This must be clearly emphasized – stressed PMM.

„We are implementing a modernization program for our country's uniformed services. I am very proud that I can participate in this program not only by handing over the guarantees, but also that I was one of those who pushed for this program, who believed that this program had to be carried out. It was I, in consultation with the then Minister of Interior and Administration, Mr. Mariusz Błaszczak, who announced this program. Thanks to our joint work, it was able to get underway” – said President Andrzej Duda, who is running for re-election, in Lipusz.

I wanted to thank all the services that are efficiently carrying out the fight against coronavirus here. We have conducted 170,000 tests in the Silesian Voivodeship alone. Today, we clearly see that this was a good strategy. Unfortunately, the virus continues to attack the mines. This is a sector particularly vulnerable to the virus's attack. This is because the nature of the work, cage transport, corridors, and air conditioning in some places unfortunately contribute to the spread of this coronavirus. Therefore, we need to identify outbreaks of infection as quickly as possible, and that is what we are doing here. We expect a still quite high level of identification of infected individuals in the next 8-10 days, perhaps 200, perhaps 300 people. Today it will probably be a little less, but tomorrow again a little more, because very large groups of miners and miners' families are being tested - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Katowice. As the Prime Minister emphasized, today not only were there no deaths, but there is a "decreasing number of sick miners requiring hospitalization," and in the Silesian Voivodeship, 60% of hospital beds are available, and in the case of ventilators, it is 85%. - I think the situation will slowly stabilize; I have no concerns about the quality of work of all services involved in fighting these individual outbreaks - PMM continued.

- I want to emphasize that these agreements, which were introduced by Prime Minister Sasin, had and continue to have my full support, and at the same time, these payment mechanisms, due to the characteristics of the mining sector, as I said, we call them protective payments. Just as in other cases we use the term 'standby pay' [postojowe], here we use the term 'protective pay' [ochronne]. This is protection for the energy and mining sectors to a large extent, because it is thanks to the miners that these sectors largely operate - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in Katowice.

- Today I would like to talk to you about the program, now that the committee is registered and the signatures have been collected. I would like to discuss three pillars. Firstly, investments. Investments around the corner, the most important ones, those closest to us. Secondly, clean air. Thirdly, equal opportunities. Equal opportunities in the labor market. These are the three most important pillars I would like to discuss with you today - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Pabianice.

- There are politicians who constantly try to convince people that they have given them something. However, everything that has happened over the last 30 years is your achievement and your hard work, and for that, enormous thanks are due first and foremost – said Rafał Trzaskowski in Pabianice.

- In every county town, but also in other towns, we want to build local development centers. These will be places where the mayor or the village head, together with you, with the community, will decide what is most needed in such a local development center, what modules such a center should be made of. Should there be a clinic there primarily, should there be a senior center there, should there be an educational center there, where we will teach our children foreign languages, so that they have exactly the same chances in every town in Poland, should we create a special place for new technologies there, for companies that can develop there for a small rent, should we build a multimedia center there - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Pabianice.

- The second issue I want to tell you about is the issue of clean air. An issue that is incredibly important wherever we go - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Pabianice. - Every family that makes an effort to adapt and fight for clean air can count on a 10,000 PLN subsidy. These calculations are based on money that the government is already promising today and that the EU is putting on the table today - he added.

- Finally, the third proposal, which is particularly close to my heart, because it's where I began my journey to the presidency of Warsaw, speaking about equal opportunities when it comes to taking up employment. Equal opportunities between women and men. Especially today, when every workplace is so important, we must have equal opportunities, and therefore we want to build modular kindergartens and nurseries and we want to offer free kindergartens and nurseries throughout Poland. Just as we managed to do in Warsaw - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Pabianice.

- Some of you are holding our banners with the slogan "A strong president, a united Poland." Thank you very much for that. One of the TV stations recently asked if this slogan doesn't sound familiar. Ladies and gentlemen, this slogan does sound familiar, and that is precisely the point. Just as a strong president was needed then, a strong president is especially needed today - said Rafał Trzaskowski in Pabianice.

“Large and significant investments in Poland will be continued, as they create and will create jobs in the future. Against Russia and against certain circles in Poland, the canal through the Vistula Spit will be built, because it is also an element of freedom, so that we can access our territorial waters and not have to ask Russians for permission whether we are allowed to navigate the waters of the Vistula Lagoon from the Bay of Gdańsk and the Baltic Sea” - President Andrzej Duda said in Solec Kujawski. 

„[CPK] will develop our state. There are experts who claim it will even generate 3% of our GDP – that's what it will generate, this economic activity, trade movement, all the businesses that will grow around it, the money that will be invested there, all these transport connections – 1800 km of railway lines, new roads that will be built. All of this will be an investment and economic boost for our country” - said President Andrzej Duda in Solec Kujawski.

„Anyone who says that this should not be done [building the CPK and the Vistula Spit canal] is actually against not only Poland, but against the European Union, because the EU has prepared an investment plan for €750 billion, and we are fitting into this investment plan with our investments. These are intended to bring the EU, and us among the EU, back onto the path of economic development, even faster than it was before the crisis caused by the coronavirus. This is our aspiration, this is what we are striving for, and this is the direction we want to head in today. This is the policy for the future that I offer you” – said President Andrzej Duda in Solec Kujawski. 

- We should be afraid all the time, because the epidemic has not disappeared, it's not leaving, it hasn't ended, there's no situation where summer means the end of the epidemic. However, there are certainly significantly, significantly fewer of these horizontal transmissions, meaning spread on the street to random people. And in this regard, we can say that there are entire voivodeships where in the last 3 days there have been fewer than 30 new infections - stated Łukasz Szumowski in a conversation with Bogdan Rymanowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

- If horizontal transmission were to erupt somewhere, if we were to see exponential growth again, we would certainly return to restrictions, we would certainly return to certain types of restrictions, but let's remember – a complete lockdown, as we did at the very beginning of the epidemic, a second one cannot be done – stated Łukasz Szumowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

- Of course [we face a return to restrictions], if there is horizontal transmission, then yes. Of course, individual areas that have now been released can be closed again, if that is the case, but the entire country cannot be closed, also for medical reasons – he continued.

- We simply need to halt operations. We are not closing mines, to be clear. The mines are to return to work. This is extremely important. Therefore, we are halting operations for three weeks, reducing transmissions, disinfecting the mines, and after these three weeks, miners will safely return to work - stated Łukasz Szumowski on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

- If we conduct 17.5 thousand additional tests on miners in the next 4-5 days, the numbers will certainly remain high for the next 10 days, and this is what we expect. We will see 300, 400, 500 [cases] certainly in the next 10 days. This is what we anticipate, as we are concluding the entire swabbing process. We have conducted over 55,000 tests, and half of the positive results are from the outbreak in Silesia. This demonstrates the scale of the operation – stated Łukasz Szumowski on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".
