Trzaskowski:

We've Already Collected 130,000 Signatures, But Knowing Today's Authorities, We Need Much, Much More

"I would like to sincerely thank those who have engaged in collecting signatures. Thank you very much. We've already reached 130,000 signatures on the counter, but knowing today's authorities, we need many, many more. It's important to have so many signatures that no trick can lead to any part of these signatures being questioned" - said Rafał Trzaskowski, the Civic Coalition's presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, in Tarnów.

In the Humorous Style of PiS's 2015 Ads, the Civic Platform's Campaign Aims to Show PiS Politicians' "Obsession" with Rafał Trzaskowski. A Shift is Visible Behind the Scenes of PO's Campaign.
- We had the impression that - looking at the last few weeks - PiS politicians have stopped talking about anything else. In his speech in the Sejm, Prime Minister Morawiecki mentioned Trzaskowski, the Coalition, and Borys Budka more than 30 times. But the real obsession concerns President Trzaskowski. We decided to summarize these last few weeks - one of the central figures of the PO candidate's campaign told 300POLITYCE. The PO campaign strategists have reached for an age-old political marketing idea: showing the competitors' camp's "fixation" on their candidate. In this sense, it's a pastiche of PiS's ads from previous campaigns, where, to the music of a fragment from Grieg's suite "In the Hall of the Mountain King" from Ibsen's play "Peer Gynt," Platforma politicians "sang" "PiS, PiS, PiS" along with the growing sounds of the bassoon. Prior to Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska's campaign, PO campaigns were characterized by a "heavy message," and the ads were forgettable, so a change is evident behind the campaign's scenes. In Kidawa's campaign, clips in a different style than before began to appear, for example, depicting the incumbent president entering the Palace gates in a limousine amidst confetti at the onset of the pandemic. However, due to the entirely different political atmosphere in March and April, they were practically unnoticed, despite the new format.

President Duda: I Want to Win the Presidential Election to Build Bridges, Not Argue

That is why I want to win the presidential election, because I want to build bridges, not argue. Airports – that is what we need today. In short – to implement what is most important, that is, to build a sensible concern for the common good”, said President Andrzej Duda in Gózd.

I want to implement building and I promise you this and I ask that you build together with me”, he added.

Kosiniak-Kamysz:

I Won't Use Slogans Like 'Slaughter the Pack' or 'Traitorous Faces'. I Propose a Different Poland. A Poland That Respects Everyone

- Today, a million of our compatriots still live on the British Isles, and many people live in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, or France. We still have a huge Polish diaspora in the USA. I would like to invite them all to Poland today and ask them to give the authorities of the Polish state another chance. Regardless of who holds power, I will always support the process of returning to Poland, to the homeland. This is how I differ from Andrzej Duda, who, when he ran 5 years ago, said: 'Today I cannot tell you to return to Poland.' In my opinion, these are words unworthy of a politician, a statesman, and a patriot. A politician, a statesman, and a patriot should always encourage a return to the homeland and change that homeland for the better, restore normality to Poland, normal human relations, give a chance for us to live in one country. Both a solidarity-based Poland and a liberal Poland, and one that sometimes still struggles to make a choice, some haven't yet. Everyone has a place in Poland; I ensure that place for everyone. This will not be a Poland for the chosen few, but a communal Poland where everyone will feel good here. I will not use slogans like 'slaughter the pack' or 'traitorous faces.' I propose a different Poland. Not a Poland of traitorous faces, not a Poland of slaughtering packs and politicians who espouse these slogans, but a Poland that respects everyone - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press briefing in Dulcza Wielka.
