Rafał Trzaskowski will be visiting the Lubuskie and Wielkopolskie voivodeships. At 9:30 AM, a visit in the LUG form is planned in Zielona Góra, and at 10:00 AM – a press briefing with the Marshal of the Lubuskie Voivodeship, Elżbieta Polak.

At 11:40 AM, Trzaskowski will lay flowers at the Monument to the Greater Poland Uprising participants, accompanied by the Starost of Wolsztyn, Jacek Skrobisz, and the Mayor of Wolsztyn, Wojciech Lis. Because we have no doubt about this anymore. A political decision was made somewhere, for political reasons, to circumvent the Polish Constitution and not introduce a state of extraordinary disaster, in a situation where this state of extraordinary disaster would not only help in the fight against the coronavirus but would also solve the problem with the presidential elections, which were and are scheduled in the Constitution within a very specific timeframe. Someone made a political decision to plunge Poland into this state of turmoil. No other body in Poland has behaved as decenty in this matter as the Senate, which from the beginning, in accordance with the provisions of the Constitution, did not freeze anything - stated Michał Kamiński in an interview with Agata Adamek on TVN24's "Jeden na jeden".

- All opposition leaders agreed to this amendment [assuming the presidential election law comes into effect on August 6th], including Borys Budka, who participated in the meeting, in the presence of the Marshal of the Senate Tomasz Grodzki, Jacek Protasiewicz, and Włodzimierz Czarzasty. - The [Kaczyński] party leader has his intentions, as he always does. That is, he would most like to use force against his political opponents. Jarosław Kaczyński lacks the strength of his arguments, so he would most readily resort to the argument of force. The problem is that for now, thank God, Poland does not have such possibilities, but he has already tried to do so. If we read that he tried to persuade Gowin, and Gowin did not agree, to introduce a state of emergency, because he lacked a majority in the Sejm without Gowin, it means that Kaczyński wanted to adopt the logic that in Poland, despite the pandemic, it is not necessary to introduce a state of natural disaster, which would solve many of our problems, but rather a state of emergency, which, according to the Constitution, is foreseen for combating an internal enemy – stated Michał Kamiński in the TVN24 program "Jeden na jeden".

"Signature collection will be possible only when the election committee is registered. We are only allowed to prepare for signature collection, while the signatures themselves can only be collected after the committee's registration. I have been repeating this from the very beginning, but since TVP Info, and a certain editor, asked me the same question eight times yesterday, we are receiving such signals. Once again – there are various grassroots actions, I see this unprecedented energy, because people want to go to the polls in a democratic election. „If we want real investments, the government should support local authorities. I am glad there is EU money, that the community is functioning, contrary to what the government tells us. „Trzaskowski is playing the Trump card, so to speak. Trump was the first to set the precedent by saying, 'Listen, let's not pretend the media are objective. Let's simply label them, show which ones represent which political stance.' This is what Trump did with CNN and other television stations. Rafał Trzaskowski is trying to do the same. The problem is that in his execution, I believe it's a mistake, because the situation in Poland is diametrically different from that in the United States. “Polish jobs are currently not receiving support from the government, because large companies, which should be the pride of our country and drive economic development, have been deprived of such support,” he added.

We met with Mr. President [Boniek] in April, in the first half of the month, when very few people, very few leagues, were thinking about a return, and some leagues had already cancelled their matches for the rest of the season. And that's why I'm also glad that our Ekstraklasa will be shown in 16 European countries, that in various places people will be able to watch our talents, our game, and this is very, very good news, but this is not the end of the good news for today - stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press briefing. - The return of fans will also be possible under appropriate protocols and procedures. We spoke with the president again today to make it happen as soon as possible, and PZPN and Ekstraklasa have set the date for June 19th, so that everything can be calmly prepared according to the appropriate rules and procedures, so that people do not gather together. Up to 25% of the stadium's capacity will be allowed, and we will ensure that disinfection measures, ticket purchases, and access to the stadium at appropriate times do not lead to people gathering together. “We need to say this clearly and plainly today. PiS has deceived the miners, it has deceived Silesia. We remember when a few years ago, PiS politicians eagerly and enthusiastically travelled to Silesia, to the mines, promising that there were 200 years of coal reserves and that mining would develop. Silesians trusted PiS. They elected Mateusz Morawiecki as their MP from that constituency. Today, when Mateusz Morawiecki visits Silesia, he does everything to avoid meeting the miners, to avoid meeting those who have been left to fend for themselves. Because when miners take to the streets, protesting against the catastrophic policy of this government, for example, appealing for 7.5 million tons of coal, Polish coal, extracted by Polish miners, to be used by Polish industry, Mateusz Morawiecki prefers to buy twice as much coal from Russia” - stated the Left candidate for President and MEP Robert Biedroń at a press conference. 

“We are filing two petitions: one to the Regional Mining Authority in Warsaw, calling for an inspection of occupational health and safety in mines subordinate to PGG. We expect this inspection to be carried out immediately. The second petition concerns a criminal complaint filed with the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw-Śródmieście, regarding the exposure of people to direct danger of losing their lives or suffering serious bodily harm, thereby spreading an infectious disease. In our assessment, this crime may have been committed by members of the management board of Polska Grupa Górnicza” - he added.

- Today we heard the Prime Minister's declaration that Ekstraklasa, first league, and second league football matches are returning soon. The possibility of practicing sports for up to 150 people in open and closed facilities is also returning. We believe this has all been agreed upon with infectious disease doctors and epidemiologists, that everything is preceded by analysis. If that is the case, it is good that it will be possible to practice sports, that children will return to the pitches, to the 'Orliki' [small football fields], to fields like the one we are on today. We must enable all of this and provide security guarantees - stated Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz at a press briefing in Leszno.

- Local governments are ready for reopening, but they must have government guarantees of safety, guarantees from the Minister of Health, and indeed from specialists in infectious diseases and epidemiology. This is what we expect, a clear declaration that such opinions exist and that these opinions enable the reopening of sporting events - he continued.

Tomorrow at 11:00 AM, a meeting with Robert Biedroń will take place at the Old Market Square in Pabianice. Our sources indicate that it will be a strong, political address in a rally format, adhering to all legal requirements and the permitted number of participants. „The CBA in situations like this [regarding Minister Szumowski] should have acted long ago, but we know that the oversight of this agency is led by Minister Szumowski’s colleague. It publishes an article which states, nothing more and nothing less, than that Marshal Tomasz Grodzki plans to become the acting head of state without elections, based on questionable constitutional analyses from his advisors that are completely contrary to the law. Marshal Grodzki wants to prevent free, democratic presidential elections from being held in Poland in order to take on this role himself - stated Adam Bielan at a press briefing.

- At the same time, today on one of the television stations, one of the co-authors, as I understand it, of this plan, Deputy Marshal Michał Kamiński, revealed it. Thank you for your honesty, Mr. Marshal, that this is the plan of the entire opposition. Marshal Kamiński, while a guest on TVN24, said: "All opposition leaders agreed to this amendment, concerning the amendment postponing the elections until August 6, precisely so that Marshal Grodzki could take over the duties of the head of state, including Borys Budka, who participated in the meeting in the presence of the Speaker of the Senate, Jacek Protasiewicz, and Włodzimierz Czarzasty. Please ask all participants of the meeting. I give you my most sacred word of honor that before submitting this amendment, both Marshal Stanecka and I spoke about it. - The Marshal [Grodzki] graciously states that the majesty of the state will be preserved if he replaces President Duda. I'm not aware of the Marshal running in elections, but that's the point. It's the Marshal's ego, which is already reaching such proportions that it will soon start generating its own gravitational field, but let's put that aside – Radosław Fogiel stated at a press briefing.

- I would like to know on what basis the opposition is hatching these kinds of plans, on what basis the opposition claims the right to bring about a constitutional crisis in Poland, to a situation where the president's term ends and a new president is not elected. On what basis are they reading the Constitution at all, they are clearly skipping every other page, because it is clearly stated that the duties of the president are potentially performed by the Marshal of the Sejm. The Marshal of the Senate is nowhere in this equation, so this is completely scandalous behavior – he continued.

- Everyone sees at the same time that the government is making irrational decisions. It's making decisions about exiting the epidemic without caring about entrepreneurs. It's making decisions about committing to very large infrastructure projects that make no sense. That's why I'm saying it clearly today. Let's redirect funds from CPK or the Vistula Spit Canal to healthcare - said Rafał Trzaskowski during a visit to Nowy Tomyśl.

- I hope that since, fortunately, the European Union, contrary to what the government says, has proven to be a true community, with strong institutions proposing good solutions, although there are still difficult negotiations ahead for the government, we have good solutions on the table. I am very happy about this, that there will be funds to help local governments and that this shield, which is currently absolutely insufficient, is not just about local governments, it's about all of you, so that we can continue to implement all the necessary investments for local governments – said Rafał Trzaskowski during a visit to Nowy Tomyśl. 

Rafał Trzaskowski's press conference in Nowy Tomyśl was disrupted by a small group of political opponents. These individuals attempted to shout over the likely future presidential candidate. After delivering his main statement, when they effectively prevented journalists from asking questions, Trzaskowski addressed them directly.

- Mr. Zandberg is in a difficult situation, I even feel sorry for him, humanely speaking, because he now has to defend a candidate who is now, arguably, the greatest defeat for the Left. Mr. Robert Biedroń, who was supposed to be an alternative to President Andrzej Duda, is in last place among the six most serious candidates, with support several times lower than the Left's support. Not even potential support, but real support. I think Mr. Zandberg would have achieved a much better result, it's hard for him to talk about it - said Ryszard Czarnecki in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on the program „Wydarzenia i Opinie” (Events and Opinions) on Polsat News.

- I think the campaign has yet to truly begin. It will start when we finally get its official announcement. At this moment, conducting a normal campaign is obviously impossible. This is one of the reasons why we strongly pushed in the discussions that took place first in the Sejm and later in the Senate for an agreement on the election calendar - said Adrian Zandberg on Polsat News.

- The problem is that PiS did not want to agree to include the election calendar in this act. I think this is the source of the doubts of the Senate presidium, which have emerged in recent days. From my perspective, the situation is such that with the agreement of all political forces, we should simply establish this schedule, this calendar, include it in the act, adopt it, and conduct elections in such a way that they do not raise doubts - said Adrian Zandberg on Polsat News.

– Honesty and presenting our program to Poles. This is a program concerning social justice; Polish families are living better than a few years ago. This is a program concerning the expansion of Poland's sovereignty. Poland must make its own decisions regarding our economy, our judiciary, and our energy independence. - I think the polls have returned to roughly the level they were at before the epidemic, before the pandemic. This epidemic has unfortunately been a big or is still a big problem for all of us, but also for the whole world, and it has also caused very serious political turmoil. Among other things, it enabled the Polish opposition to hinder the fulfillment of a constitutional obligation, namely the holding of elections on the constitutional date of May 10th - stated Piotr Gliński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News' "Gość Wydarzeń".

- The Polish opposition took advantage of the opportunity and made it impossible [to hold the elections on May 10th]. This is reprehensible, this is terrible, because it is a blow to the state, to the political community that is going through a difficult time. A storm has erupted on the lake, and part of the crew is punching a hole in the boat that is trying to sail through this storm. This is truly reprehensible - continued the Deputy Prime Minister.

- The Polish opposition has used a rather cheap opportunity to hit the government again, to further rock this boat. For 4.5 years, the Polish opposition has done nothing but cause turmoil. It's trying to blow up Polish democracy and unfortunately, it also seized the opportunity that was the pandemic. - The Senate won't stand in our way anymore. Even if they want to deliberately delay by 30 days, specifically to destroy Polish democracy, I hope voter lists will also be issued, because there is no longer any excuse for local governments not to issue them, and thus, I hope the elections can be conducted honestly, calmly, and normally on June 28th - stated Piotr Gliński in an interview with Dorota Gawryluk on Polsat News's "Gość Wydarzeń".

- Regarding the elections, the Prime Minister should first publish the National Election Commission's resolution of May 10th. Without it, further steps cannot happen because we are in a constitutional vacuum - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

- A very important argument that I am presenting, and from this very place, I am requesting that all sides, all candidates, all political forces accept this decision if it comes to pass. In the absence of constitutional rulings, we must have confirmation of the constitutionality of the election deadline through declarations from politicians and candidates as well - said Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz on TVP Info.

'There's no indication President Duda will resign from office now. In that case, the Marshal of the Sejm takes over the function anyway.
