Tomczyk:
If the ballots used for election packages were stacked one on top of the other, we'd have a 25 km Sasin tower. This is the scale of waste.
„The scale of mismanagement, amateurism, and shoddy work by Jacek Sasin will be permanently etched in Polish history. Never before have such vast sums of money been thrown away in this manner. What Jacek Sasin did, this envelope service worth 70 million zlotys from public funds, was nothing more than a service intended to please Jarosław Kaczyński” – said PO Secretary General Marcin Kierwiński at a press conference.
„The Sasin package consists of a ballot, a declaration, instructions, and three envelopes. In total, that's 9 A4 sheets. 30 million packages were printed, which are now lying around at Poczta Polska, and were meant to reach citizens. This gives us a total of 270 million A4 sheets. 540,000 reams of paper were used for printing. One ream of paper is exactly 5.5 cm high. If these sheets were stacked one on top of the other, we would have a Sasin tower 25 kilometers high. A Sasin tower compared to Mount Everest is nothing. This is the scale of waste” – added Cezary Tomczyk.
