At 10:00 AM in Kielce, Szymon Hołownia will hold a press briefing. As 300POLITYKA's interlocutors say, the aim is to summarize the state's actions in combating the economic consequences of the coronavirus – i.e., the fight to maintain jobs, the fight to maintain companies' liquidity, as well as the protection of the Polish economy. The agenda we have seen includes planned speeches by the president, the prime minister, and a Q&A session with entrepreneurs.

Furthermore, today in the Senate, at 2:00 PM, another round table on the presidential elections will be held with the participation of representatives of all parliamentary clubs and the parliamentary group, Senate Marshal Tomasz Grodzki, and representatives of the chamber's presidium.

If such a decision is made by the Prime Minister [Gowin about returning to his function] and it is agreed upon by the coalition, then believe me. I understand that political fiction scenarios are very appealing, especially to journalists and commentators, but Porozumienie, let's recall, has Jarosław Gowin's name and surname in its name. We are a party founded by Jarosław Gowin, and this does not change, and Gowin decided a few weeks ago himself that he wanted to leave the government, and he also indicated, recommended me for the position of Deputy Prime Minister. So, really, nothing changes in this matter. Now is the time for all parties of the United Right camp to work intensely in the presidential campaign. Jarosław Gowin has already begun this work. As he himself said, as a rank-and-file member, he now has greater freedom and is meeting with our structures and mobilizing them to work in Andrzej Duda's campaign, and this is our biggest task right now. After the presidential elections, it will also be time to showcase our programmatic offer even more strongly. Let's recall - we position ourselves within this broadly understood United Right tent as those who are able to communicate and want to communicate with city residents and to prepare political offers for them, and this is how we perceive our role - the Deputy Prime Minister continued.

At the beginning of "Salon polityczny" (Political Salon), Beata Michniewicz asked Borys Budka if Rafał Trzaskowski would take leave from the Warsaw City Hall during his presidential campaign. The Civic Platform leader began his answer with a statement.

- Madam editor, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to start with one very important matter. In recent days, many controversies have arisen around Program III of Polish Radio. Here, I wish to express my solidarity with all journalists who perform their profession diligently, regardless of which political option is in power. But I would not be myself if I didn't say that I absolutely do not agree with what has happened in recent days at Polish Radio. I do not agree with the return of censorship, I do not agree that it is not journalists, but people responsible for managing Polish Radio who are allowing such things. From this place, I wanted to say that Trójka was, is, and I would like it to remain a great value also in my heart. I remember Mr. Niedźwiecki, I remember Wojciech Mann, I remember Mr. Kydryński. These are people who are symbols of Trójka. Thanks to conversations with you, Madam editor, among others, we could exchange views, but today is the time to say an absolute stop to methods that are destroying Polish Radio, stop to methods that are unworthy, which are precisely causing that perhaps you, Madam editor, will later receive an order to censor some statement. Therefore, I want to assure you that normality will return to public media. It is not politicians, but journalists who should be responsible for programs, which is why, in a gesture of solidarity with those who have left Polish Radio, those who, like you, Madam editor, work diligently at Polish Radio, I cannot participate in this program today. I recommend music during this time and a moment for all of us to reflect on values. Because values are most important in these difficult times, and Trójka was for me a symbol of growing up, beautiful music, a symbol of great people. People who have dedicated their lives to radio, and I want it to remain that way, and I believe that the people who are destroying Trójka today – I am not talking about the journalists, I am talking about the management, the politicians of this government – will leave, and then we will be able to talk normally - said Borys Budka on the air of Trójka radio.

At this moment, we are working, and we are encouraging the Senate to work faster and more efficiently on the bill that will allow the elections to be held within the constitutional deadline. I believe this is the most important issue for Poland and for Poles today. Let's do this together, in agreement, I think above party lines. This is what citizens expect from us today: that we deal with their current problems, which are on one hand health, and on the other hand economic security. And for this purpose, we also need to hold presidential elections quickly and efficiently - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

“I hope the June 28 date will be kept. It must be clearly stated that this is the final deadline by which elections can be held. To adhere to all remaining deadlines and obligations imposed by law, so that Poland has a president after August 6. The schedule is such that holding the first round at a later date would mean that there will be no elected president after August 6. I believe that a pro-state attitude will prevail, that PO senators will not yield to the temptation of political maneuvering, and that the bill currently in the Senate will be processed efficiently,” said the Head of the Prime Minister's Chancellery, Minister Michał Dworczyk, on Jedynka radio.

– From the information I have, it simply turns out that ballot tampering has been revealed, or at least errors, let's put it cautiously, and therefore it must be stopped, period. As far as I know, the radio authorities presented a preliminary report yesterday – said Krzysztof Czabański in an interview with Robert Mazurek on RMF FM’s “Morning Conversation.”

This is a parliamentary bill, let's recall, not a draft that overturns the presidential election order or introduces hitherto unknown solutions – stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24. - I tried to discuss this bill with opposition MPs. I repeat again: it is not a revolutionary change. The regulations proposed there are regulations that refer to the electoral law in Poland valid before 2016, and therefore there are no real changes here that would provoke, that would require any special, lengthy deliberation. There is truly nothing controversial or unknown in it – she continued.

- It's not just those politicians who write about morons, provocations, lack of common sense, that someone has a virus on their head, it's Jacek Karnowski, the most faithful of the faithful, who wrote on wpolityce.pl: this war cannot be won. And you are going into it. You want a war with some artists, why do you need that? - Krzysztof Czabański was asked by Robert Mazurek. - This is no war with artists. I don't understand why artists get offended that something will be fair. But okay, fine, they have the right to their choices - Czabański replied. 

- This is not a convincing explanation [from PiS MPs sitting on the National Broadcasting Council], just as yesterday's explanation during the press conference was also not convincing for me. The Hit Parade [at Trójka] was always created based on cards, in the 80s, on postcards and letters sent to the editorial office. Today, this happens via the internet. If there are any ambiguities, the question is whether they took place or only happened now, whether anyone has reported such ambiguities, doubts about the IT system before and they were not addressed then, and were suddenly addressed now, on Friday. This should be clarified as soon as possible - stated Jadwiga Emilewicz in "Rozmowa Piaseckiego" on TVN24.

“I have already stated that I will vote for Robert Biedroń, if only because he is the only candidate among the others who has a clearly left-wing program. So why shouldn't I vote for him? The people organizing this campaign and the leaders of the formation have decided that there is no need to change the candidate, and the matter is closed. I haven't heard any discussions among my colleagues that would lean towards considering whether Robert Biedroń should be persuaded to resign” - said MEP Leszek Miller in an interview with Jacek Prusinowski on Radio Plus.

“We should break with this fiction, and since in every presidential campaign, presidential candidates talk about competencies they don't have, and this is probably impossible to eradicate, it would be best if presidents in Poland were elected by the National Assembly,” stated MEP Leszek Miller on Radio Plus.

- We can return to that activity which is the axis of every election campaign, but should also be the axis of politics, that is, to traveling, to talking to people, to meeting them everywhere outside of Warsaw. I am very happy that we have been able to return to this, that the coronavirus crisis now allows us to do so - said Szymon Hołownia during a press conference in Kielce.

- Of course, we would like them [presidential elections] to be on June 28. No, there are some... I don't know [how much time there will be for signature collection]. Everything needs to be counted precisely once the resolution of the National Electoral Commission is published and the Speaker announces the election date - stated Ryszard Terlecki in a conversation with journalists in the Sejm.

– He resigned, but he resigned, and I don't blame him at all. He was doing so poorly [Rafał Trzaskowski] in Warsaw that he's trying to somehow free himself from his mayoral duties – stated Ryszard Terlecki in an interview with journalists in the Sejm.

– Trzaskowski was managing poorly, so I don't blame him for trying to find some lifeline now and focus on the campaign instead of managing the city – he continued.

Yesterday, I sent a letter to the Prime Minister, to the Minister of Health, and to the President of the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate, urging them to test preschools, meaning staff, in order to ensure the safety of our children. The decision to open nurseries and preschools was announced at a conference. The government was so busy that very brief guidelines were later issued. However, what happened in Łódź is that 14% of employees, after screening tests, turned out to be potential coronavirus carriers. Therefore, the safety of our children is paramount. I have also appealed to the Podlasie Voivode and the Prime Minister for the government to prioritize testing staff in preschools, as this is most important for all of us - stated Tadeusz Truskolaski at a press briefing in Warsaw. - Similar to President Truskolaski, I also wrote to the Pomeranian Voivode, Dariusz Drelich, yesterday, requesting that tests also be conducted for employees of nurseries, preschools, and schools, because, as we know, Grade 0 classes, meaning preschool departments, have also reopened. In Gdańsk, schools and preschools were opened yesterday, on Monday. Schools, I mean Grade 0 classes, and nurseries will be opened on Thursday. This was essentially a government decision, for which we have been preparing for the past two weeks, striving to ensure the safety of both children and the staff of these facilities, as well as our families, because these children and employees later return to our families. We will see what the response will be. We hope that the safety and health of all Polish citizens will indeed prevail - said Aleksandra Dulkiewicz. - Following these test results in Łódź, we demand that tests be conducted for employees of nurseries, preschools, and also schools. This is a matter of responsibility for the health of these employees, many of whom are in an age group that poses a risk in case of coronavirus infection, but also, the parents of these children sometimes have co-existing conditions, and we must also ensure their safety. Therefore, we are fully in favor of opening nurseries, preschools, and schools, because we know how important this is for the economy, and we know that these children need classes for their personal development. However, we must ensure safety, hence our appeal or demand to the Prime Minister to conduct these tests - said Jacek Jaśkowiak. - At this moment, during the epidemic, what is most important is a new policy and solidarity. We are standing here not only on behalf of the mayors of major cities but also on behalf of mayors, town mayors, and village heads of smaller towns, villages, because we all face exactly the same problems. The government has turned its back on nurses, doctors, and also on all those who work in nurseries and preschools. It hides behind regulations and tries to shift all responsibility onto local governments. All expert reports indicate that if we are to unfreeze the economy, we must first increase the number and availability of citizen testing. And that is why today we clearly demand the highest possible number of tests and that the government take responsibility for what is happening - argued Rafał Trzaskowski.

- Regarding Lech Kaczyński Street [in Warsaw], I'm saying the same thing consistently. The same opinion, that I will submit such an initiative after the entire election festival. Because the matter is too serious to be entangled in election issues. From the very beginning, since this question was raised, I've been saying exactly the same thing - stated Rafał Trzaskowski at a press briefing in Warsaw.

- We would like to launch another sector of healthcare, and by mid-June we will want to open health resorts. For this purpose, of course, as health resorts most often cater to older, infirm individuals with various other comorbidities, we will want to conduct tests on those individuals who have a referral to a health resort, so that we know that these individuals who are going there, within this group, are safe in this health resort, and this possibility will be available from June 1, and from June 15 we will be opening these health resorts - stated Łukasz Szumowski at a press briefing.

As the Minister of Health informed, 30,000 tests have already been conducted among miners in five mines in Silesia, with the infection rate standing at 6.9%. According to Szumowski, this shows that the outbreak of infections in the mines has been significantly contained.

- We will participate today at 2 PM in the round table on electoral regulations - said Krzysztof Bosak during a joint press conference with Janusz Korwin-Mikke.

- During the work in the Sejm, Konfederacja submitted seven amendments. I have these amendments with me here. The discussions in the Senate will be a good opportunity to recall the amendments submitted by Konfederacja and to contribute our input to resolving the electoral crisis. Let's recall that the solution currently promoted by all political forces, the so-called hybrid solution, meaning postal voting for those who wish, and normal voting at polling stations for everyone else, was proposed by me first - he added. 

“I am pleased that we have organized this meeting and that we are participating at the invitation of PFR. I am thinking about the Prime Minister, about myself, about the people who today in Poland bear responsibility for the quality of executive power's execution, responsibility placed upon us or upon our shoulders by the citizens. When at the very beginning of March, we clearly realized that the coronavirus epidemic would not bypass Poland, that the coronavirus would definitely come to Poland, it was only a matter of time when it would happen, when the patient zero would appear, (...) and when subsequent actions were taken, which were meant to protect the life and health of citizens, and in reality, boiled down to limiting further spheres of public activity, starting with eliminating the possibility of gatherings, through interrupting children's participation in education, at school, (...) when subsequent sectors of the Polish economy were blocked, it became clear that the coronavirus pandemic would have consequences not only in terms of citizens' lives and health, but most importantly, looking into the distant future, it will have economic consequences,” said President Andrzej Duda.

“I am immensely pleased that the executive power, the second part, more practical than the presidential one, because related to managing all government affairs, and thus all matters related to executive power, was then and continues to be held by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki - a man who has been so closely and personally involved with the economic and financial market in our country and Europe for many years. Immediately, with his associates, with PFR, with President Borys, and Minister Emilewicz, we embarked on the first actions to develop something we called the 'Anti-Crisis Shield' to support Polish entrepreneurs - from the smallest, self-employed, through micro-enterprises, small businesses, medium-sized businesses, all those who form the backbone and the fundamental part of Polish GDP, who truly build our economic system today and are its absolute foundation,” he added.

“I thought then [during a conversation with one of the entrepreneurs] that Polish business had truly become responsible business. We often talk about corporate social responsibility in the context of charitable actions, sharing with the poor, in the context of business supporting charitable causes, but a moment also came when business needed responsible support from the state, but the state also needed responsible support from business on the principle of saying: ‘Yes, we are together, we are together in the executive power, the Prime Minister with the President, with the ministers, but we are also together with our business, and business also understands our aspirations and will do everything to ensure these programs are well implemented,’” said the President. 

„It is precisely this good cooperation, swift decision-making, consulted decisions, yet well-considered despite short deadlines, and flexibility in implementing changes that have allowed so many jobs to be protected. Today, we estimate that at this moment, looking at the entire scope of the anti-crisis shield, approximately 2.5 million jobs are already under its protection. I hope these jobs will not disappear, and thanks to the money that people, our compatriots, earn by working in these positions, within various companies, both Polish and foreign ones operating here, we will manage to get through this crisis with Polish families feeling its impact to the smallest extent possible” – said President Andrzej Duda.

- Here I am, arriving to meet with you along with the President and others, directly from a meeting with the Visegrad Group and subsequently another Visegrad Group meeting with Chancellor Merkel. Our programs are recognized, and I can emphasize this, as among the best in the world. They protect jobs, but they also protect entrepreneurs and your business models, your machinery, equipment, and those who provide services using your employees, your various technical, technological lines, your simply operational business models from closure and bankruptcy. And that was our primary goal and remains so – stated Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki during the conference "Shield for Polish Companies – PFR Economic Forum".

Along with the new programs we are developing, and I discuss them almost daily with the President, and I thank you very much, Mr. President, for such cooperation, for the full understanding of what Polish entrepreneurs from every sector, from all service sectors, export sectors, manufacturing sectors, those dependent on foreign entities, less dependent, need, for such constructive cooperation thanks to which we have programs today that also give us this safety cushion for the next few months. „In recent days, we have all watched with outrage what is happening at Polish Radio Three. We all grew up with Radio Three, with programmes by Wojciech Mann, and we also grew up with the Hit Parade. As a young boy, I used to bet with my friends whether Republika or Perfekt would win the Hit Parade, and now Radio Three is being destroyed, and public television has been systematically undermined for years. We stand here today at a place that has become symbolic. Behind me is television, which has been 100% politicized by those in power. It has become a place where hatred is sown, where people are incited. I have clearly stated that new politics must be based on values, on restoring the true meaning to words. What will happen now, including the fight for the presidency of the Republic, will be a fight for truth. This is the most important issue for us” – said the Civic Coalition candidate for president, Mayor of Warsaw Rafał Trzaskowski, at a press conference.

“Public television, funded by taxpayer money, recently received billions of zlotys to spread party propaganda. I clearly announced that this money must be used to strengthen our healthcare system, because today, health and safety in times of epidemic are absolutely the most important matter” – said the Civic Coalition (KO) presidential candidate and Mayor of Warsaw, Rafał Trzaskowski, at a press conference.

“The management of the television station awarded themselves gigantic bonuses amounting to millions of zlotys. Allegedly for excellent financial results, while the television, with one hand, was reaching out for billions of taxpayer money. Therefore, it is time for a nationwide debate on public media. Next week, such a debate will take place. I will invite experts, media scholars, to discuss what a true, new public television should look like in a modern state, following the best global examples like the BBC” – he added.

“Mr. Trzaskowski’s entry has primarily harmed Andrzej Duda. Today, it is certain that Andrzej Duda will not win these elections in the first round, that there will be a second round. And in the second round, regardless of whether it is Trzaskowski, Hołownia, or Kosiniak-Kamysz, I believe it will be Kosiniak-Kamysz, Duda will lose the second round. What Trzaskowski brings today by entering as the Civic Coalition (KO) candidate is the hope that he will once again mobilize the electorate of the Civic Coalition, discouraged from voting and calling for a boycott. - When I see the questions that TVP Info journalists ask me, and they are focusing virtually solely on me, I think the panic on the other side is quite significant – said Rafał Trzaskowski during an online Q&A.

- I won't be a politician and president of total opposition. I won't be such a president. Where the government wants to change Poland for the better, I will certainly help them in that. If there are joint initiatives to increase voter turnout, regardless of who someone votes for, I will certainly not only help in this, but I will initiate such actions, because it is simply good for the Republic. I want to clearly state that where the constitution and laws are being broken by the rulers, I will clearly stand guard over fundamental values and principles - said Rafał Trzaskowski in an online Q&A.

- I don't know if I'd be that cruel. Ladies and gentlemen, this is important. My political advisors always tell me one thing, my friends tell me one thing, my wife tells me one thing: never show off. Therefore, I will not be showing off. However, what is important is that languages truly help. They help a lot. But you know what they help with? Not in the least to brag that someone speaks excellent English, French, or Spanish, but if someone knows languages well, they allow you to understand a different way of thinking, a different culture. They teach us independence, they teach us tolerance - said Rafał Trzaskowski during an online Q&A.

- Jarosław Kaczyński is an intellectual from Żoliborz, he reads a lot of books. I grew up in Nowe Miasto, I used to cycle to Żoliborz. It seemed that not so much should divide us. Jarosław Kaczyński had a wonderful father who fought in the Warsaw Uprising. I had an uncle and aunt who fought in the Warsaw Uprising. It would seem that quite a few things connect us somewhere. I thought to myself that Jarosław Kaczyński, when he looks at a politician like me, who primarily wants to change Poland, who is not hot-headed, who, like him, reads books, who, like him, is a patriot, because I would like to keep believing that Jarosław Kaczyński is a patriot, he just completely understands patriotism differently. Why does he dislike me so much? Well, but that's how it is. Unfortunately, with Jarosław Kaczyński, ladies and gentlemen, if he dislikes someone, he wants to destroy them. Somehow it is that he has extended this to a great many local government officials, because these local government officials simply stand up to him - said Rafał Trzaskowski during an online Q&A.

- You know when I feel most proud to be Polish, when I feel I have that strength within me? It's precisely when I'm outside of Poland. That's when I know what sets us apart, I know what gives me strength. I always explain to my friends, who ask me what Poles are like. I say: they are tough, they are patriots, they don't let anyone push them around, and they don't let themselves be deceived. And most importantly, they are devilishly independent – said Rafał Trzaskowski during an online Q&A.

- We have a Ministry of Health that has been effectively exposed by its minister for its incompetence and its superficial approach to this problem. I will recall the dates, as they are important in this matter. The type of masks that arrived in Poland was actually examined in May, which is when reports about the mask supplier appeared in the media. I'm not talking about Antonov now, but about the supplier from a skiing instructor. From the company owned by the wife of a skiing instructor, an acquaintance of Mr. Minister Szumowski. Then, a frantic effort began to check all these masks, and this transport with Antonov, which I recall was welcomed at the airport by the Prime Minister, Mr. Prime Minister Sasin, turned out to be a complete disgrace. It's a scene like from Bareja, like from 'Miś.' The gentlemen stood at the airport and welcomed the landing plane, filled with unusable masks. This shows that the government truly treated and continues to treat this matter very superficially - said Bartosz Arłukowicz in an interview with Anita Werner on TVN24's "Fakty po faktach".

- Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska, with a 25% average in February, and today she isn't running, and today no one will vote for her. And she was supposed to be in the second round with Andrzej Duda. Calm down, Madam Editor.
