- In a sense, Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin wanted to respond to the opposition's calls for postponing the elections. As I understand it, the opposition is demanding a significant postponement, and in light of this, the Prime Minister has proposed what is likely the only existing solution, namely, amending the constitution - said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on Jedynka radio.
07:30
- The Constitution, unfortunately, creates very strict parameters here. One could say this. Looking at Article 131, paragraphs 1 and 2 of the Constitution, it can be said that the Constitution allows no room for presidential elections not to take place and for the president's term to expire, which will happen this year on August 6th, so in just a few months. The Constitution assumes that presidential elections must be held if the president is in office and serving their term - stated President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on Jedynka radio.
07:39
- Yesterday, the Prime Minister asked me if Mrs. Minister Emilewicz would take up or is taking up the post of Deputy Prime Minister. There is no final decision here yet in the form of a nomination signed by me, but it is a matter of hours, as I understand it, when the relevant documents arrive from the Prime Minister's Chancellery. Such a change is happening, and this shows that the right remains united - President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on Jedynka radio.
07:44
- I want to emphasize very strongly that we have already massively increased the number of tests conducted in Poland in recent weeks, to around 7,000 per day. This is a significant increase compared to what we had at the very beginning, and I hope this number will continue to grow in the near future, as it is one of the elements of an effective fight against the coronavirus - said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on Jedynka radio.

Duda:
This is another stark example that the EU needs reform. The voice of nation-states, i.e., parliaments in individual member states, should be stronger within the EU, and the EU should generally move towards greater democratization.
– I think some revision [of the EU community] will definitely happen. Especially if one looks at Italy, for instance. There is huge disappointment there, and it is a major European country, one of the countries that has been in the EU practically from the very beginning, and therefore it is a strong voice within the EU. Spaniards will certainly also speak with a strong voice here. So, especially when we consider that all of this is happening after Brexit, this is another stark example that the European Union requires reform. This entire situation also shows who is best at dealing with this [epidemic]? Well, nation-states are simply managing on their own. Therefore, I believe that the voice of nation-states, i.e., parliaments in individual member states, should be stronger within the EU, and that the EU should generally move towards greater democratization, including its institutions – President Andrzej Duda said in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on Jedynka radio.
– I believe that if anything, the role of the European Parliament, the role of the European Council, where heads of state and government sit, i.e., people who are close to the citizens of EU countries, because they are their representatives and they feel it, should be increased. They are elected to the EP personally in direct elections. Their prime ministers and presidents are also those who are elected by them, and this is a sense of democratic choice in individual countries. However, by necessity, this means a reduction in the role of the European Commission. I believe this should be the direction; this is my personal opinion – PAD continued to say.

- For the PiS government, the priority is saving banks, because PLN 70 billion in this package has been allocated to rescuing the banking sector. The National Bank of Poland is lowering interest rates, which will make loans for banks even cheaper. It's a shame not for people. Ten times less funds are allocated to saving healthcare - said Robert Biedroń in an interview with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

Biedroń:
Masks Won't Be Mandatory Because There Simply Aren't Enough of Them. This Government's Negligence.
- Masks won't be mandatory because there simply, plainly aren't enough of them. There aren't enough not only for ordinary citizens, but even worse, there aren't enough for those who are on the front lines of the fight against coronavirus today, providing help. This is this government's negligence - said Robert Biedroń in a conversation with Piotr Witwicki on Polsat News's "Graffiti".

No New Drastic Restrictions Expected; Existing Measures Have Significantly Reduced Cases
- We will announce [decisions regarding restrictions] soon. It's difficult for me to get ahead of myself at this moment, but we do not foresee any new, drastic restrictions. The ones we have introduced, however, show that a very significant reduction has occurred. Today, we would already have 25,000 cases if it weren't for the fact that restrictions were put in place. We have 5,000. That's actually five times less than we could have had if we had lived normally and met up, so these are restrictions that are effective, at least in part. However, if we had released everything for the Easter holidays, we would have had 30-40% more, and that means an even more drastic increase than without restrictions – stated Łukasz Szumowski in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on "Sygnały dnia" (Signals of the Day) on PR1.
Asked if we can expect some restrictions to be extended, the Minister of Health replied: - Certainly.

Nitras:
I have no right to enter the plenary hall. If one MP can be excluded, then 10, then 30 can be excluded. I know this from history. For example, this is exactly what was done in the Reichstag in the 1930s.
- I have no right to enter the plenary hall as the only MP, even though I am delegated by the PO and KO club. The Marshal, without any procedure, perhaps at the express request of Mr. Kaczyński, simply does not let me into the plenary hall - Sławomir Nitras said in an interview with Tomasz Sekielski on "Onet rano".
- I am an MP elected by the people. Perhaps more people voted for me than for Marshal Witek in the last elections. As an MP, I have rights. That is, I am suspended from performing my duties. One can disregard such a matter, but if one MP can be excluded, then 10, then 30 MPs can be excluded. I know this from history. For example, this is exactly what was done in the Reichstag in the 1930s. In my opinion, we are going a very similar path. I'm not saying we'll end up the same way, I hope not - he added.
08:45
- These elections will be rigged. This electoral system that PiS is preparing for us is an electoral system that General Jaruzelski himself would not be ashamed of. Under military boots and under military bayonets. I hope the army will truly rebel on this matter and not take part in this process. We are being prepared for some kind of electoral farce – said Sławomir Nitras in an interview with Tomasz Sekielski on „Onet rano”.
- But are you inciting the army to rebellion? – the journalist inquired.
- Of course. If someone is an officer in the Polish army in the Polish state, they are aware that the army cannot engage in politics, that the army is constitutionally forbidden from engaging in politics, and that the army cannot be used in elections – the MP replied.

Some Easing Will Definitely Happen. We Are Currently Working to Do It as Safely as Possible, With Some Restrictions and Protection.
- If the economy collapses, we will likely have more deaths related to cancer and cardiovascular diseases, significantly more than those related to COVID, so we are in a dramatic situation here. Decisions about a relatively slow, maximally safe, but still releasing the economy so that it functions. This has been announced by various countries that also have a lot of infections - stated Łukasz Szumowski in an interview with Krzysztof Świątek on "Sygnały dnia" PR1.

Even in a rigged race with a bribed judge and everything being wrong, I intend to fight to the end
“I am not considering [resigning from the elections]. At this moment, I am not considering it, however, I have the impression that this illegal, deceitful process of arranging the elections for Andrzej Duda, which Jarosław Kaczyński is undertaking, must end. This is illegal. The electoral law cannot be changed, as the Constitutional Tribunal has stated. It cannot be proceded with in this manner, and things that they themselves have called unconstitutional, deeply unconstitutional, cannot be introduced into electoral law,” said presidential candidate Szymon Hołownia in an interview with Beata Michniewicz on Polskie Radio 3.
“Even in a rigged race, where there is a bribed judge and everything is wrong, I intend to fight to the end,” he added.

- My meeting with Prime Minister Morawiecki and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Development Jadwiga Emilewicz has just concluded. Among other things, we held consultations regarding further changes that could be introduced into the package of laws we call the Anti-Crisis Shield. This discussion is primarily the result of meetings I've had recently and consultations conducted, firstly, with internet users. A whole series of various questions and issues were raised in the questions they posed to me before the last Q&A session on Facebook. One of the issues raised was concerning entrepreneurs who started their businesses before March 1st of this year. They invested in them, yet they were not covered at all by the regulations we call the Anti-Crisis Shield. That's the first matter. The second matter was the outcome of a meeting that Minister Emilewicz and I had two days ago with entrepreneurs from the textile industry. We asked them about their situation, listened to their current circumstances, and what their demands are regarding what further assistance or support they would expect to enable them to survive this very difficult time we are currently experiencing. Here, there was one very strong demand, namely the contributions that employers have to pay to ZUS (Social Insurance Institution). At this moment, during this very difficult time for them, when they de facto have no income, because in the textile industry, shops are currently closed, and consequently, sales are not happening, be it wholesale or retail, it's generally a huge problem. All sales points are also practically non-operational, and today this industry is indeed suffering to a very large extent, stated President Andrzej Duda at a press briefing.
- Therefore, I presented two proposals to the Prime Minister today, which are my expectations responding to the needs of entrepreneurs that were raised, and they have been accepted by both the Prime Minister and Minister Emilewicz. Firstly, that all entrepreneurs be exempted from the obligation to pay ZUS contributions for their employees for a period of 3 months, as support for them during this difficult time when we are fighting the crisis. That's one thing. Secondly, that all entrepreneurs who started their activity before March 1, 2020, be covered by the Anti-Crisis Shield regulations and the aid that the Polish state provides within the framework of the Anti-Crisis Shield. This is a time when it was difficult to predict that such a crisis of terrible magnitude as we are currently experiencing would hit us, and which is also visible in the future, and which we will have to contend with. We must obviously overcome it by implementing various good solutions. These good solutions should also be applied to those who started their economic activity before March 1, 2020, and I hope that such changes will be introduced, PAD continued.
13:09
- I wanted to appeal to the Marshal of the Senate, Professor Grodzki, to convene the Senate as quickly as possible, so that the Senate can address, as quickly as possible, these very regulations that are intended to help Polish entrepreneurs, that are intended to save jobs in Poland, that are intended to help Polish businesses survive this very difficult time, and ultimately, are also intended to help the Polish economy and all of us emerge from this crisis as successfully as possible - stated President Andrzej Duda at a press briefing.
13:16
- We are working continuously, holding various consultations. These are taking place here, at the Presidential Palace, and in a more closed form at the National Security Bureau (BBN). They are ongoing, and the solutions we call the anti-crisis shield will, I believe, continue to be modified and changed depending on needs, the situation, and what further justified demands and expectations are put forward. I want to assure you that both I and the government, primarily represented by the Prime Minister, Minister, Deputy Prime Minister Emilewicz, and her associates, are doing everything to ensure that the solutions being prepared best meet the actual demand and that they maximally help preserve jobs and enable businesses to survive this difficult time, so that they can return to normal operations as quickly as possible. I also hope that the epidemic situation in our country will be controlled sufficiently for us to be able to slowly begin returning to normal functioning in the relatively near future. This is very much needed today, and I am counting on this being possible. Of course, decisions in this regard belong primarily to the Minister of Health, depending on the development of the situation and the opinions of experts who support the minister, the Chief Sanitary Inspectorate (GIS), and of course the Prime Minister, but I hope this situation will improve. Meanwhile, naturally, in accordance with the demand, state economic aid in various forms – exemptions, loans, credit – will be offered as precisely as possible, and entrepreneurs will be able to benefit from it – stated President Andrzej Duda at a press briefing.

If we had celebrated these holidays as we usually do, in a month we would have 30, 40, 50 thousand more sick people. This would mean several hundred people from this group would have died.
- If these restrictions had been eased. "Our pandemic containment efforts are proving effective so far, and they are proving quite effective. We are aware that the period of national isolation is certainly very burdensome for everyone, but we have numerous analyses, a great many statistical models, which show that if we hadn't implemented these restrictions, these rigors, these various prohibitions and mandates, we would be in a completely different place today. We wouldn't have around 5.5 thousand cases, but perhaps even 40 thousand or more. Renowned centers from the United States and Western Europe are also sending us such analyses, and they confirm our strategy of action," said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

„To further limit the spread of the epidemic, we are extending the current restrictions, we are extending all anti-coronavirus regulations, because these restrictions show, and foreign and domestic experts confirm this, that they are working and working well. At this moment, by one week, until April 19th, we are extending the restrictions concerning shopping malls, cinemas, theaters, all such places, as well as hairdressing and cosmetic establishments and service points. This also applies to the limit of people in shops and churches” – said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki at a press conference.

Some restrictions may remain, but after the holidays, we'll present a logical, structured plan for returning to a new economic reality
„This does not mean that these are the final weeks of our current functioning, these dates that I have given. Perhaps some restrictions will continue to apply, but we also want to present after the holidays a very logical, ordered plan, discussed with experts from health, the economy, and social affairs, for a certain return to a new economic reality. That's how I would put it. The reality that existed before the pandemic, for a long time, perhaps even for years, will not return, but that doesn't mean we shouldn't have hope. This hope is growing within me that the world, through economic programs, the approaching summer, and appropriate rigorous measures and restrictions, will enable Poland to cope with this epidemic” - Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at a press conference.
13:55
"We have a sincere plea for everyone to stay within the narrow circle of their immediate family, and not to gather in larger family groups as has usually been the case. For me, these Easter holidays are the first sad holidays without my father, but also the first holidays in a long time when I won't see my extended family, I won't see my mother. We will spend these holidays with my wife and children in our closest circle, as we live day to day. If it were otherwise, we could lead to an increase in infections in a few weeks of over 50,000 more than the actual increase," Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said at a press conference.

Therefore, starting next Thursday, we will be introducing the obligation to cover the nose and mouth in public spaces. This has already been explained by the sanitary inspection and the provincial sanitary station. - The above actions are necessary not only to ensure the protection of the rights of participants in court proceedings, but also to stop the deepening legal chaos in Poland and – what is particularly important in the difficult situation of public finances due to the ongoing SARS-CoV-2 virus epidemic – to prevent the potential imposition of periodic financial penalties on Poland. Then, this death is reported in the place where the person resided. Of course, as I have repeated many times, talking about some manipulations or falsifications, concealments, would mean that I have a network of hundreds of thousands of agents across Poland who are falsifying death certificates.
