Kidawa-Błońska:
I want to know that every healthcare worker is tested cyclically for a sense of security
- For several weeks I have been speaking, appealing, everyone is talking about it, there is a shortage of tests, a shortage of safety measures, protection for doctors, for healthcare workers. In Poland, one in six infected is a healthcare worker, in Italy, one in ten. This means that there is not enough equipment, and the assurances you keep presenting to us that everything is fine are untrue. I hope that from these funds, these resources, appropriate quantities of tests and masks will finally be purchased, so that healthcare workers can indeed be tested cyclically. This is terribly important, and one cannot say that we are doing a lot of tests, because we are not. The Ministry of Health provides the number of tests daily. I want to know that every healthcare worker is tested cyclically to have a sense of security. This is very important, [so that] protection is not only in infectious, single-profile hospitals, but in all others, because district hospitals, where patients are admitted, are equally important. Protection must also be there. And one more thing. We have submitted amendments, and one of these amendments guarantees that we will be able to check how these funds are being spent – stated Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska in the Sejm.
