President Duda: "Radical Safety Measures Worked in Poland"
“We introduced safety measures very early, if we look at Europe. In our country, the first measures began 6 days after the first reported case. After just 8 days, children stopped attending school. Compared to other countries, like Spain, where precautionary measures were taken after 44 days, or Italy, where such measures were implemented after 30 days, our fairly radical precautionary measures, especially the closure of schools, which were initially assessed as radical, were implemented very early. Looking at the growth of infections in our country, these radical measures have worked. Perhaps thanks to this, the epidemic here will be significantly smaller than in other European countries, I hope” - said President Andrzej Duda in an interview with Michał Adamczyk on “Gość Wiadomości” on TVP Info.
